My mom came in for a haircut and color and i liked it so much on her that i had to come try myself! i got a keratin express treatment and a cut and i loved it! my hair had never felt so smooth and shiny, kacy was so sweet and welcoming (: i will definitely be coming back.

I had recently moved to Richmond and was in need of a salon near me. When I searched Google for salons near me, Zena was the first one I saw. I called and made an appointment with Kacy and was beyond satisfied with his work. I absolutely love Kacy, he listens to what I want and that’s what I walk out with. He has great ideas for hairstyles, he’s very professional and I am so happy to have found him and Zena Salon.

I met Kacy several months after I had a lifesaving emergency surgery three years ago. I looked like an old, gray headed, bedraggled ghost when I met him. 🙁 My bestie (who has Meryl Streep’s divine “Devil Wears Prada” haircut-thx to Kacy) introduced me to him. Since that day, I always walk away from the salon with a fabulous haircut and color that bring me compliments everywhere I go! Best of all, Kacy ALWAYS lifts my spirits with his enthusiasm and kindness! 🩷 😊

I just stopped by to see if I could get a haircut, after chemo, and everyone was so welcoming! Kacy cut, washed and styled my hair so beautifully! I didn't expect such a beautiful result, but I am so very pleased! He is so kind too! I will definitely be back!

Johnson did great on mine and my step daughter’s hair today. We were a walk in and he was able to accommodate us and make us feel special. Talked us through the cuts so there were no surprises. Will be going back to see him!!

Ladies, be very careful with the only man who works here. I can say that I felt very unsafe, and I already went to the police. UPDATE: My service was in September. Maybe you have two male employees now, but the person I’m referring to has a name that starts with K. Are you going to accuse me? Do you have cameras? I’d love to know because when the police visit the salon, they’ll have an easier time gathering evidence. Go ahead and accuse me; I’d actually prefer it since legal action could move faster. This situation is worse than I thought. Clearly, this man is already doing this to more women, as the reviews confirm. And since apparently the entire staff is defending him, along with whoever manages Google My Business, everyone could be in trouble.

I walked in today for a haircut and was able to be seen by Johnson. He was very kind, easy to talk to and made sure to figure out exactly what I was looking for in my haircut. He gave me the exact hairstyle I was looking for and after not having a haircut in almost 2 years I left extremely happy with how my hair looks! Will definitely be back to book with him for my next haircut.

Kacy did a wonderful job fixing what I had done elsewhere. He listened to what I wanted, suggested based on my complexion and set realistic expectations. He said I would love my hair and he was right! The salon is very nicely decorated and clean. It has a bar type waiting area, which was perfect for me to get some work done on my laptop while I waited for my hair to process.

As a guy with long hair, it's very hard to find a place that will get your hair right. Zena Salon did my hair perfectly on the first visit, and Johnson made sure to hear out my thoughts and constantly checked in to make sure I was happy with how everything was going. He even trimmed my beard and mustache, which look the best they have in a while. Extremely happy with Johnson's work and I will make sure to continue visiting Zena whenever I need a haircut.

I've been coming here sinced 2018 and Mae she's been my hair gal ever sinced and love all AVEDA. So many new faces and i notice the changed under new management. I love coming here and consistent with her and the pampering it's always excellent from start to finished. I always leave the salon feeling relaxed and a whole new person. My hair feels great and beautiful as always. Thanks Mae!

The way they interacted with me was super unprofessional and disrespectful. As explained below their response is also a lie. I do not fault anyone for not being open on Thanksgiving. However I called on Tuesday and they told me they'd be open on Thursday and to come at 11. I planned accordingly and had an event that day. Come Thursday at 11 I go to the salon and it was completely closed. I called the owner to ask what happened and she said she'd call me back. Left me hanging for half hour and I called back, and she didn't answer. Didn't even have the courtesy to call and tell me she was sorry she couldn't keep the appointment. Again, if you aren't open on a holiday that is completely fine. What isn't ok is to tell me you are, make an appointment but then waste an hour of my time because you changed your mind, couldn't bother to cancel and then not even have the decency to apologize. Now in the review they say the called me many times which is just not true. How can i get everyone's call except theirs? In fact I tried calling them and they didn't answer.

Johnson did a great cut and blow out for me. I went from waist long hair to a couple inches past my shoulders. He did a great job with my layers!

Zara did my hair and before we started ,I told her give me the total of how much I need to pay . She told me ,you have Highlight and toner .she gave me the total and upon check out she added the toner fee .although I specified that I need the total of everything. As for the hair color .it was a disaster and when I came home my family was scared to see me .she bleached my hair ,she bleached the small hair of my front head. I was looking terrible .I called her after reaching home. she never returned my call . I went the next day to another saloon to fix it .

Was really happy with the service and cut. I’m a busy and simple person, never asked for much and Brooke cut and styled my hair perfectly. She’s really sweet and all around wonderful. If i were you, I’d ask for her anytime. Hands down all around awesome

Bad experience. I went today to do highlights for my twins daughters. Virgin hair never died. I gave her a picture, she said she could do it, and she charged $325. Each one. It didn't turn out anything like that, and it was barely noticeable. For my other daughter, she dyed her hair once, she bleached it very quickly, she didn't look at the final color, and it turned out orange and on top of that orange she applied toner. And then she said that if I wanted it to look good, I would have to pay double because she has to use more product. She should have told me from the beginning. And I decide if I want to do that or go to another salon. She is not really prepared. I'm sorry. :( don't waste your money…

Nadia, i am Not happy with the services was giving today... On the top of it I was the one who got blamed. That the color was not done well because I do not use the shampoo I am suppose to use. I do not understand that you can mess up hair color and blamed on the client. Not happy with my services was giving today... On the top of it I was the one who got blamed. that's what I was looking for caramel highlights, and that was what she did. this lady doesn't know what she is doing. you barely see the highlights on the top. if you can't do that or if you don't know how to do that. just be honest and I can go to another place. money it wasn't important but I paid for a good job. but Don't say that you know what to do when you don't even know how to dye your own hair. your hair is blonde in the top and dark in the bottom, horrible. my daughter L had virgin beautiful hair. and my daughter S dyed one time. and I told you. before don't lye. You don't know how to do it, period. you are not professional, period.
