Horrible experience. I asked for my already warm blonde to be blended more and my roots that had super grown out fixed. I told them not to put toner on my hair out of fear of being turned ashy grey like a previous salon worker did at another place that had to refund me for wrecking my hair- and this lady does the SAME THING to me. Said she didn’t but hair doesn’t just magically get bleached and then turn dark ashy grey by itself. The other salon and hairstylist I went to who helped fix this was shocked and said it didn’t even look like my hair had anything done to it after $395. Which I had to fight for back, and after 4 days of waiting for the bank to release the funds, not the refund disappeared! So back to fighting with this and now just leaving a poor review because I’m done with this. The manager never got back to me about any of this either. They never called me back at least. Not a single apology from anyone especially the lady that did this. Not one “I’m sorry.” Not even sorry YOU feel you don’t like your hair, nothing. She of course couldn’t fix it till a day after my anniversary either, a date she knew for months was important to me. Turns me dark ashy grey on the top of my head, left most of my roots dark brown still, SPOTS in my hair, a still hard line in the back of my head which seems insane for $395, and still was saying it was a massive color correction as if my hair even still looked anything like it did in April (It’s July now) when I originally sent her pics trying to find a time to get it done. She acted like there was still green and blues in my hair, there wasn’t. If there was it was so insanely faded it was like 1% of a hue of anything, you can’t see anything that’s not just warm blonde in any pics of me from the last several months because that color has long washed out and I still got charged for this huge color correction. It’s funny that for $150 another lady was able to actually blend my hair much better, fixed most of my roots, she said it’s a work in progress which is way more acceptable for that price vs this salon not being able to even make a difference besides turning half my head ashy grey. Never again. I still can’t believe I couldn’t even get a basic apology even. I had messaged the lady who did this saying I was crying and washing my hair out with dish soap about 3am, I couldn’t sleep and was stressed over my hair being wrecked right before my anniversary with my partner- no remorse at all. Still swears it was just a gloss that didn’t tone.. the lady I saw to fix this said that’s not true at all and funny that a clarifying shampoo and dish soap DID get most of the dark ashy grey out- which would only happen if this WAS a toner that was used, which I specifically asked not to be used on me. And ashy grey of course. When I said warm blonde 100x. It feels almost like this was done on purpose to me. Idk how all this was some mistake especially after telling her the horror story of someone else doing all that to me and her even saying wow that’s not what you asked for at all! When seeing the ashy grey pics of me saying I had just wanted warm blonde. Then does that to me too. The lady I saw to fix this was shocked and couldn’t even understand how this was all done on accident… First pic is before she touched my hair, second is after being turned an ashy grey, showing spots in my hair and the hard line, and how much dark brown is still left in my hair after $395 was spent. I come out ashy grey with spots and a hard line after all that money. And she said it was a work in progress still but took a whole before and after video acting proud of this. She let me leave with spots in my hair… When I showed them and the hard line in a message she seemed to ignore that even, again no apology and not even saying anything like Oh no I didn’t catch that Im sorry I’ll definitely fix that asap! Just kept seeming to say it’s a work in progress. All she did was grey up my already warm blonde and that seemed to be about it.

I had my first short haircut with Hayley and I couldn't be happier with the result! The stylist is exceptionally skilled and paid great attention to detail. The haircut turned out even better than I had imagined. I love it so much! Highly recommend!

I’m from eastern Washington/California and have had the best luck with hair in both places. I have always loved my hair and it has been an accessory through different body changes in adulthood. Being postpartum has been hard on my body imagine and after going to this salon twice now I have lost all the confidence left in my appearance. Honestly my hair looks like a mom from the 80s. And I have normally really nice hair. I have had horrible cut and color from here at two different times now a few months apart and now wear a baseball hat everyday. They have never done what I’ve asked. I never even written a review before but I’ve cried over this hair a lot and figured writing one might save someone some grief in the future. Just worst experience. I am currently booking a trip to California to fix it with someone who has done exactly what this salon claims my hair can’t do.

Went in for a root touch up and actually had the formula from previous salon but the stylist made changes to it and it ended up being too dark. I tried to call to get it fixed and they only guarantee haircuts and not color and wanted me to pay to fix it. Which I already paid 180 for just a root touch up. Very unhappy with this service, I understand sometimes it doesn’t come out the way they expect but I would hope they would stand by their work and fix it. I advise to avoid this place for color, especially since they won’t guarantee it. They also charge a 50% fee for less than 48 hours cancellation. They are overpriced with strict cancellation fees and don’t even guarantee their work.

I called around to find a haircut appointment and was able to get in the next day which I needed with a rare kid free opening in my schedule. Even though it was quite a bit more than what I normally pay for a cut I went for it, I’m glad I did. I saw Wesley she was great! Very thorough gave a great cut and very friendly easy to talk to. Highly recommend for cut and will be back for color.

I recently moved from the east coast and was incredibly nervous about finding the right stylist for my hair. To say I am thrilled with the service I received from Kyle would be an understatement. After a thorough consultation Kyle walked me through what he thought was best color wise for my hair and explained his balayage process. Not only was the end result better than I could have imagined but Kyle is a pleasure, and the time in the chair went by too fast!

Arpad is the best stylist I have ever had! I started going to him 20 years ago when he worked in Bellevue, then I moved away and I've never found the right person since then. Fast forward 20 years later, I moved back, found Arpad and couldn't wait to get in his chair. His honesty in working me through MY bad ideas to make sure I am happy at the end, his expertise in nailing my color every single time, and making me feel like the hottest woman alive.... makes me so thankful I found him again and that he is still doing hair.

I am probably one of those clients that is "extra" when it comes to my hair..extra special in the way that my hair requires extra time and attention (...and patience), not because I am high-maintenance, but because there is A LOT OF IT (hair). The staff at Winslow are always quick and warm in welcoming me into their salon. The salon has beautiful natural light that radiates throughout the entire salon through a large ceiling to floor window which truly demonstrates an essential componant to both the artist and the client in creating their visions with color especially. This is SO APPRECIATED! My high-tech "hair picasso", Arpad Scott, continues to go ABOVE & BEYOND my expectations and impress me, particularly with the new challenges I present to him with my visions in hair color! He is a MASTER at color techniques and truly grasping what it takes to create and align with a client's vision! I have so much confidence in him that I now, just search him for new and cutting edge color that will bring out my "best self"....and he NAILS it every time! I love that Arpad has a keen eye for the cut and style that accents my facial features and more or less gives me the lift and restored vitality of "youth"...and that is hard to come by for a gal who just turned 50 years old! I look forward to my "self-care" time at Winslow with Arpad because I know I am getting spoiled with INCREDIBLE hair care and the most uplifting conversations. Thank you Winslow and Arpad for valuing and meeting me and my crazy hair right where it's at and sending me home every time with "LEVELED UP" and feeling beautiful again!

I highly recommend booking with Carissa for your color, cut, or extension needs! She is so talented I travel over an hour to see her because she does such amazing work! Her color skills are seriously the best I have ever experienced and I've been coloring my hair for more than 15 years. She is so sweet to talk to and really helps bring my vision to life when I give her inspiration ideas I am looking for. I always leave blown away by how beautiful my hair looks and get so many compliments! Cannot recommend her enough!

Wesley is a blonde expert--the best actually! I know my hair is challenging, but she makes it seem effortless! How many women do you see with *healthy* long, blonde hair whose natural hair was dark brown to black hair? I can honestly say I'm in that group 6+ years and going! I recommend trusting Wesley when you're ready to be blonde. And yes, we really do have more fun! 😉

When I moved to the area over a year ago one of my main priorities was finding someone to cut my hair, as someone who has had their fair share of bad haircuts and color services over the year I have trust issues when it comes to my hair. After doing my research I booked my first appointment with Arpad. I 100% trust the advice and opinions he shares, and the fact that it’s been over a year and I still come to see him specifically should say a lot! One thing I love about coming to him is that he’s honest with what will and won’t work with your face shape. Sometimes it’s easy to be influenced into wanting something you see that looks good on someone else but you need someone to be honest instead of just blindly agreeing and you leaving with something that doesn’t look like your inspo pic. I’ve had a few different cuts with him (having both long hair and shorter (to me) hair) from long layers and face framing , maintenance trimming, even the big “chop” earlier this year and I always leave pleased with my hair! Today I wanted (or thought I wanted) rounded layers with heavy face framing (think 90s) and he explained why he wouldn’t suggest that cut for my face shape. Once I got the picture he suggested a modern shag to get the movement in my hair I wanted, no shocker here *he was right* I love it, it gives me the volume and movement I was looking for while we still maintained the length I wanted to preserve. Today I left with some new shampoo and conditioner from R&Co that he used while he shampooed my hair, it leaves your hair so soft, after using kerastase exclusively for the last 5 years it was time for a change. The salon itself is modern and clean and I’ve always had really pleasant experiences with booking and rescheduling when needed.

Winslow is the only salon I will go to for precision cutting. Melissa truly understands the art of hair. She actively listens to my needs and asks the right questions to ensure we are aligned. The energy and quality of the salon is top tier. I highly recommend Melissa and her team at Winslow.

Curly hair is not welcome at Winslow Salon! Winslow Salon is a nightmare that keeps giving! From the moment you want to make an appointment to the moment you are lucky enough to leave. They don't answer their phone regularly or check their voicemail. (I know, what's that?) So to make an appointment you have to keep calling the salon hoping someone will answer or email the stylists directly hoping they will get back to you with their availability. I was able to make an appointment with stylist Brittany . I have medium length curly brown hair, and went in for a simple gray hair touch up which should have been around $85-$120 according to the receptionist. During my appointment I told Brittany, I don't want my roots to be darker, just wanted a regular gray touch up to match the rest of my hair. I ended up with 2 shades lighter (red tone) for my gray touch up. While she was drying my hair, I noticed the flaws immediately and I brought it to her attention. She argued with me, and said "it's fine!! It's the lighting in the salon". WTH!! She charged me 175$ including tips, the reason for the extra charge? She found medium length curly hair challenging to blow dry! Also, there was never a discussion regarding the additional charge. The next day, I tried to follow up with a manager or someone else at the salon, NO LUCK! There is not a manager available! They mentioned all the stylists are independent and the salon asks you to work with the stylist directly to resolve any issue. I asked for a refund, it was shut down, followed by a condescending email from Brittany saying I did what you ask me to do, and that I can come back and she can try to fix my hair if I show her a picture of the BROWN COLOR touch up I want. Dear Brittany, you don't need a picture, I want my roots-touch up to match the rest of my hair. CRAZY Concept I KNOW! It seems to me the only color they can really do at Winslow Salon is blond highlights! Overall, if you have curly hair, brown hair, or have any other hair besides blond I strongly advise you to think twice before approaching. You never know what you will end up with. Winslow Salon belongs to the 90s and not this decade, and that’s a good enough reason not to ever go to this salon! REPLY to your Response : 8/15 I understand you don't have a refund policy, but a lot of places give you the option to have a redo with a different stylist. (NOT the same one, who messed up my hair BADLY, and OVER CHARGED me) . Again, I was over charged without a prior discussion. Not GOOD. But from your email, it sounds like you are just saying it's me and not you guys. Like I said, the Winslow Salon is a nightmare, that just keeps giving! Thanks

Horrible service. Was there for 3 hours and no color took on my hair. I had told the salon that I had henna on my hair earlier but they said it was okay during the consultation. Charged me the entire amount with no results. Very disappointed! Will never go there again .
