Katie Gogel is one of the most amazing hair stylists I have ever had style my hair and I wish I would’ve thought to leave a review sooner. Over a year ago I made the mistake of trying to bleach my own hair which inevitably made a ton of it fall out and break off. I made the decision to go to a professional fully expecting to be judged for my mistake, instead I was met with an enormous amount of sympathy for my situation and an eagerness to do whatever she could to help me fix it and gain my confidence back. She completely transformed my hair and gave me tips to help grow it out again. Flash forward to today, my hair has grown back and she continues to wow me every time she does my extensions/coloring/and styling. Not to mention she just has a great personality, I couldn’t recommend her enough! She’s a hair guru. The below pictures are a before and after, and my hair now with extensions that Katie did.

These women are AMAZING! They go above and beyond to make you comfortable and invested in the process. Shelby has been my stylist for 2 years, and she always has something fun to do with my hair. I leave absolutely in love with the new color and am excited to go back. She has no limit to what she can do for luxury blonding and blending!

Alex did the MOST amazing job with my extensions. From the start during the consultation, she was realistic with expectations, and answered any questions I had. I came in with chin-length hair that I wasn’t super happy with and she worked her magic, leaving me feeling confident and beautiful. She takes pride in her work and wants nothing but the best for her clients!

I’ve been seeing Kelsey Ford for over 6 years for my hair coloring and cuts! She’s very personable, open to trying new things, great at explaining what she’s doing/why behind it and doesn’t use more color than I need! At Virtue they have drinks and coffee available during my appointment as well as lots of hair products you can buy. I’ve always left my appointments confident and happy with her work especially with the “lived in” color and fades beautifully over time with no harsh grow out!

A fantastic experience every time! The salon itself is beautiful and the stylists are all so welcoming. As far as hair services go, this is Cedar Rapids best! Katie G. has single-handedly saved my hair. I came in two years ago with bleach damaged brassy bob and Katie has helped me grow past my shoulder length healthy hair all while making sure I’m pleased with every transition. I would honestly recommend this salon to anyone!

Alex is amazing!! She has helped me through so many hair up-dos and downs (pun intended). She’s very attentive, receptive, and I always leave feeling like a million bucks! The salon is super clean and organized and they are so sweet, offering snacks and beverages for long chair sits and paying special attention to their clients.

From start to finish there is just a friendly vibe at Virtue Ext. Lounge. Katie Gogel is a very knowledgeable hair stylist that prides herself on keeping up with the latest hairstyles, coloring and extension weaving. She has offered me great advise about hair thinning and older hair. I finally went to weave extensions that I totally love. I am an older client that worried about getting a age appropriate style but she came up with a style that is the perfect color and cut. I receive many compliments on my hair. I always look forward to my hair appointments as I feel wonderful when I leave. It's so nice to have a stylist that I trust her opinion completely.

I have been coming to virtue extension lounge for a couple years now and it has been a life changer! Being blonde, it can be very hard to find the perfect stylist that can nail it everytime but Kelsey does it! We have connected so much that I swear she can read my mind and always knows what I’m looking for anytime I want to change it up! I have also sat in Shelby’s chair a couple times while Kelsey was on maternity leave and also felt that same connection and trust in her! I look forward to my appts here and truly feel so relaxed anytime I walk in their door!

I have seen two stylist. Monica and Brooke. They are insanely talented with color mixing. I have came into mulitple times to them with visions of a natural but new look getting my hair back to my natural roots. The work is seamless and you can't go wrong with either of these ladies. The best vibes being their client and they are the sweetest humans. I stand by this hair salon and I know you couldn't go wrong with anyone there!

I’ve been seeing Kelsey Ford for years and I can’t believe I’ve never written a review. I had been going to her consistently for color services and recently decided I wanted to try extensions, so I knew I had to go see her. The install was quick and she made sure I knew how to style it a ton of different ways before I left. I’ve been struggling with my hair recently and I’m not being dramatic when I say that the extensions she gave me are life changing. I finally feel like myself again!! Kelsey is an absolute gem of a human. She’ll make you feel welcomed and comfortable and also makes all of your hair dreams come true while keeping your hair healthy ❤️

I've been going to Kelsey Ford for a couple years now and couldn't be happier! From the moment I sit down in Kelsey's chair, I know I'm going to walk out feeling like me, only fresher. Kelsey is knowledgable in a way that is so effortless. You don't leave with that harsh "just got your hair done" look. She is an expert at getting blonde just right for you and keeps it healthy along the way. Kelsey also recently did my bridal party's hair for my wedding and once again knocked it out the park. When I wasn't sure on how I wanted my hair styled for the big day, she rolled with the punches, asked the right questions, and ultimately helped me arrive at a look that was upscale and bridal, but still me. Not to mention, she is so fun and time in her chair is like spending time with one of your best girlfriends. She truly is the best!!
