I have had neck and back pain for many years. I have had epidural spinal injections, MRI's / CT scans, chiropractor adjustments, physical therapy, and medications galore. After my first treatment with Delores, my neck pain had decreased greatly. I had nearly pain free neck and head movement for the first time in years. Now after my 3rd treatment, my back and neck pain is practically gone. I am also no longer taking pain meds or muscle relaxers. My only regret is that I didn't try this course of action sooner. Delores is a true healer!

Update to Andrwas comment: I did not have 24 hours notice to give you. NO FLEXIBILTY FOR CIRCUMSTANCES OUTSIDE OF OUR CONTROL. Nor was I given 24 hours notice of any changes. BECAUSE OF THE STORM. So, we have to be flexible with you, but not the other way around. I got a message from Andrea (?) that my massage therapist couldn't make it to work because of the snow storm. Problem was, I didn't get her voicemail until I got a chip replaced in my phone which didn't work for almost two days and I was stuck in Atlanta because of the same storm. I finally made it back and could have made the appointment with my original therapist had she been available. Totally understand why she wasn't and, had I been able to respond the the phone call, I would have rescheduled because I don't want to use anyone else. She still charged me. Basically, I had to use her or I was "canceling " my appointment. And what's nuts is that they incorrectly billed me last month and I was super flexible about it. Mistakes happen. DO NOT EXPECT ANY FLEXIBILITY WHEN THINGS OUTSIDE OF YOUR CONTROL HAPPEN!!! I have literally been up for 29 hours trying to get back into Virginia for 15 of those and then I have to deal with this. ABSOLUTELY UNREASONABLE AND BAD BUSINESS. I feel bad for the massage therapist I used there because I really like her, but I cannot deal with unconscionable business practices. I own a business and know that from time to time it's important to be flexible. I would understand it if I was a problem client, but I'm not and the damn snow storm was extenuating circumstances, along with the fact that my massage therapist had cancelled.

Dolores has been great! She has a wealth of knowledge in the medical massage therapy field that is invaluable. I have had a tricep tendon tear corrective surgery in March and found very limited flexion and extension of my arm post op which was abnormal. I started going to physical therapy for several months which has been beneficial but I hit a plateau with my progress and only managed to get minimal improvement to my elbow mobility. Doing research online I found out about medical massage therapy and decided to give it a try. After a few appointments with Dolores, my mobility improved greatly and I now have a new found hope of fully recovering or at least close to it. I thank God I found Virginia Medical Massage!

Very clean. Although I would suggest please turn off the television even though it's in the waiting room. It distracts from the peace. Some relaxing music would be better. My husband went here for a massage for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it. It helped to get rid of his headache that he had been having all week.

I have been a client since undergoing three spine surgeries, the last of which was in 2020. I was unable to move my back and neck muscles from the trauma and now, under Yuko’s care, I am cycling, traveling, and all the other activities enjoyed prior to surgery. VMM is the epitome of professional, knowledgeable, experienced care.

I give a 5 star rating to the therapists but am disgusted with the owner Andrea because of her treatment and point of view with respect to veterans. I am a retired Navy veteran and both self paid for appointments and had my appointments paid for by the Veterans Administration. Andrea didn't like me asking questions or advocating for myself, so although she was never my therapist, she canceled my scheduled appointments and refused to comply with the services she agreed to with the VA for my health. I had just had another surgery on Jan 18th and completed my first post surgical lymphatic massage following that surgery on Feb 13th when she barged into my conversation with my therapist. She insisted that therapists can only open their schedules for private clients and that veterans had to wait for vacancies/canceled appointments by checking the website daily. She complained about serving veterans saying they cancel appointments and don't want to pay. I replied that I schedule and cancel within her stated policies and when I am unable to show for an appointment, my credit card is charged $105. She mentioned being out of $5,000 due to veterans and said we were done. I never yelled at her, nor called her outside of her name, but she didn't like that I questioned her policies. I asked for clarification after she changed requirements, scheduling, and other policies multiple times making it almost impossible for me (and other veterans according to her) to manage my care. She had no regard for me, who has been a client of her business for 3 years. She had zero convern about my health.

I had two gift cards cover my massage. However, when I spoke to someone after my card was charged $150 they said there was no record of my gift cards and they were not able to help me. Unacceptable!

So glad I found Virginia Medical Massage. I was a member at Massage Envy, but Massage Envy's subscription pricing and corporate policies were annoying and becoming not competitive, so I tried Virginia Medical Massage based on a recommendation from a retired surgeon. I've had two sessions here; both have been wonderful. In my experience, the quality of massage is higher and you receive your full time. Massage Envy would cut me short by about 10 to 15 minutes most visits since they schedule on the hour and don't allow down time between patients.

This place is a God Sent life saver. As someone who has always had a bad back and suffers from pretty constant back pain this place helps keep everything under control and keeps my muscles under some sort of control, where I no longer get random days of not being able to move because my back would seize up. Highly recommend! Both locations are clean and easy to access love love love this place!!!

I am the “wife” that my husband was talking about. I was laughing in the waiting room because I found it hilarious when he informed me at the end of my massage that I still owed 100 dollars which was my birthday present. I don’t know why the card wasn’t charged that my husband set up the appointment with. But nevertheless I took care of that. I never handed him an envelope with gratuity as I left it in the room and he “asked” me to do at the end of the massage before he left the room. I was however asked again about gratuity as I was walking out the door as I then informed him I left it in the room like he wanted. He then thanked me. I work in the service industry so I know how important tips are to my income but I would never ask for gratuity let alone ask multiple times. I feel a tip will be left if deserved and does not need multiple reminders about it. I came home to tell my husband about my massage and he was upset that a middle aged man felt the need to tell me about being fired from previous employment and about him telling me about how his girlfriend dumped him.

I have fibromyalgia and it can be difficult to find a therapist that can treat me. I've seen several different therapists at both locations and they all have been excellent! Definitely found a regular therapist; it's also comforting to know there's other therapists that can help me when there's scheduling conflicts.

Massages are great. The only downside is the Gym next door, sounds like they are coming through the wall. The gym is not the fault of virgonia medical but it does distract from the atmosphere. For deep tissue Jesse and Yuko are amazing. For therapeutic massage I recommend Kim. Never a bad experience with the massage staff.

Sent my wife. Scheduled her a hour and a half massage. Her massage dude was white male in his thirties I believe his name was Jessie. Did nothing but cry about his problems and made her very uncomfortable during the whole event. Then when the massage was over he begged for a tip. He was tipped well but I will NEVER ever send anyone or give them a dollar of my money again. I spent a lot of money for her to go and be at peace and relax and instead of peace she had some hobo rubbing his hands on her. I’m furious. Do not go here.
