Vinyl is such a fun experience with a vibrant environment and cool people. The owners Michael and Tinita were super helpful and kind. Michael answered all my questions and made recommendations for what I wanted from haircut to nails. I got an apres Gel X mani by ChaCha and she delivered with the highest quality of care and attention to detail. Not only a gifted nail tech but such a cool person too. She focused on the foundation of my natural nails by shaping them and trimming cuticles before applying the gel overlay. She takes her time and focuses on every aspect of nail health and frequently checked in to make sure the shape, length, and design is what I was looking for. Best manicure you’ll ever find in the city. I received a lot of compliments on my nails. It’s not a chop shop so don’t expect to be in and out quick, but do expect great service and quality of craftsmanship at Vinyl. Looking forward to their other services like their hydrafacial and hair cut! Thank you for pampering me!

This place is such a vibe! The interior is like a maze. I got coconut mocktail while waiting for the appointment from a disco ball serving as a cup. They only use non-toxic ingredients for their beauty service and I loved it! I didn’t like to pay before the appointment but I guess that’s what helps this business to plan better. I got eye brows sugaring and I think I received a pretty good service.

Cha Cha is the absolute BEST for a manicure! My nails last forever and she takes her time to make sure it’s exactly what I want every visit. The quality of her work is unreal. She is such a lovely human and so much fun. You are also greeted by so many great humans at every corner at the salon (& you get complimentary drinks, how fun)! Cannot recommend enough!

Cha cha is AMAZING! Not only is she such a cool human but her nail art is to die for. Customer service is 10/10 and the salon is the cutest and coolest vibe. 100% recommend making her your go to nail lady! For super cute simple manicures to crazy & cool nail art, she does it all!

Super cute, friendly, and cool place got my haircut there this week (Doug Mesh is the best for a badass haircut) and it was such a nice experience. They offer some cool cocktails and also some N/A beverages you can enjoy while you get your nails/hair/massage/etc. done. They also validate parking if you have an appointment so you can park in the lot super close by and not stress about finding parking!

Tinita and Michael are awesome! I went in for a haircut and Tinita did an amazing job! Their space is so comfortable and chill, you won’t want to leave! Highly recommend! They also host live music!

Vinly has an open friendly environment! Its decorated extremely cute, has good music, good drinks and great service. Vinyl's staff is top notch! I found them after 8 hours of travel straight off the plane. They were so welcoming. I highly recommending them for your beauty needs. Special shout out to Cha Cha and Michael!! Thank you for making me feel welcome. You two really made my day! 😊

Kate is absolutely gifted. I keep coming back because we collaborate on my nail art designs and she just keeps blowing it out of the water. She suggested nail builder and it was the best idea. My nails are growing strong and healthy. Also the cuticle care is top-notch. I love my monthly visits with Kate along with the monthly cocktails. And Ali, she's just such a beautiful soul. The nail art between these two ladies is worth the visits. 2025 update: Kate has moved to her own salon at Orange Door Studio.

I couldn't be happier with my new haircut from Tinita at Vinyl Beauty Bar. No lie, several people told me "you look like a rock star!" and that's absolutely the vibe at vinyl, which makes sense for my rock n' roll lifestyle. This is also where my go-to nail artist Gabs calls home, so I frequent here for nail art/gel removal once a month or so. The nails and the haircut have become an essential part of my stage presence as a regularly gigging musician. All the staff here are incredibly friendly, hip, and professional. It's a total vibe and the type of place that deserves to be on your Austin bucket list.

I’m always bragging on the staff at Vinyl Beauty Bar. I’ve been a customer since there original location. Everything they do very very HIGH QUALITY and always worth the cost, this is not something I can say about many services or businesses these days so I proud to have this salon in my life. I wouldn’t trust anyone else in the world with my hair but Liz and I have hair cutting trauma to the max. I expected to be agitated and have to direct her the first cut I had and was astonished that she did my cut FLAWLESSLY not one ounce of agitation was had by me. I’m 100% addicted to Vinyl Beauty Bar! So that’s the 🫖 although Im sure I will regret this review so I can gatekeep for myself lol

Came here looking for a live show and some nice atmosphere. Unfortunately I met the owner who was rude and insincere. It was clear that I was not welcome, no matter the circumstances. I think the owners will be happy to know I won’t be returning.

Highly recommend coming to Vinyl! First of all, their staff is so kind and listen so well! I have nails that seem to reject gel polish, buy my amazing nail artist Gabs listened and literally gave me the best gel manicure of my life. It lasted longer than any gel mani I have ever gotten and looked impeccable. I cannot thank her enough for working with my particular nail issues to make it possible. I'm also a spa member because I love a lil self care. So I get to go back for monthly services and get discounts on other services (cuz they literally do it all). Plus the space is just a happy zone with Dolly Parton everywhere. Bottom line: You should check out this awesome space with wonderful people and incredible services.

I’ve been looking for an all natural nail salon in Austin and this place is PERFECT! Relaxed cool Austin atmosphere, wonderful complimentary cocktails/beverages, vegan products, and best of all I didn’t leave with a headache from chemical smells. Also, my nails artist Gabby was a gem, so knowledgeable and detail oriented—will absolutely be going back to try more of her fun recommendations! 💅🏽

I've had massages with Emily, a mini-mani with Gabs and both experiences were fantastic! They both tailored the experience to meet my requests which made for an amazing experience. The best little place in Texas indeed! 💗Incredible atmosphere, impeccably decorated, complimentary cocktails (I got “The Dolly” cocktail, obvi) and I got to do some beauty, art & vinyl shopping while on site. I can’t say enough good things about this spot. An eclectic, east side, music centric GEM. 💎 The entire staff was welcoming, warm and professional. I booked had an eyebrow tinting with Sara and it was a game changer!
