We booked Verde beauty last minute since our other vendor bailed on us. The concierge team was great and helped set it up flawlessly. The artists were Tina and Kristen, they were amazing! I had made some special requests and they were honored. The team actually had us done about an hour and a half early. I had the best time with them and definitely recommend them!

Verde was a great hair and makeup team on my wedding day! They sent 3 hair/makeup artists to my home, and were able to get 10 women ready within 5.5 hours! They did a great job on everyone, and we all looked very beautiful :)

I would 100% recommend Tina and her team! I first met with Tina for a pre-wedding session where we tried on a few looks. She was very patient and listened to my preferences. It was important to me that I felt like I still looked like myself, but just elevated - and she was able to help me pull that off. I was also a bit nervous about what the wedding planning stress had done to my skin, and she made me feel at ease about that. I’ve never had my hair and makeup done professionally before so it was a bit intimidating, and she made me feel comfortable during the process. The day of her team was very professional and took care of me, the moms, and the bridesmaids. Now looking at my photos, we look beautiful and I have Verde to thank for that!

Tina and her team are fantastic! She did my makeup for my wedding 11 years ago. I had the pleasure of working with her again this weekend for a family wedding. Her service has only gotten better! She is incredibly talented! The bride was stunning! they are so professional and do amazing work!

Tina did mine and my bridesmaids hair and makeup for my wedding this month and I have NEVER felt more beautiful! I wanted a glam look and she DELIVERED. She understood exactly what I wanted, listened and accommodated any little changes I wanted from my trial, and was just awesome to work with. We did a facial the week of the wedding also to help get my skin in wedding-ready condition, and it was phenomenal as well. Super happy with my services!

As a mother of the bride, I was definitely concerned about my hair and make-up experience. I'm not one to wear a lot of makeup routinely and my hairstyling generally consists of a quick blow dry.. Tina and her team came in and made my experience fabulous. She asked all the right questions and made me look incredibly natural. In addition, she and her team were fun and professional and very accommodating to the varied requests that existed across the entire bridal party. I would absolutely recommend Verde.

Bri did my hair, and Bailey did my makeup for my wedding. I gave them a bit of direction and was really happy with how they turned out. They were sweet and happy to make any adjustments I asked for. Also, I did add on some services kind of late in the game, and Verde tried their best to be accommodating.

Leah & Bri did my wedding makeup and hair, and they were phenomenal. I was complimented all night on how gorgeous it turned out, and both ladies were sooo easy and wonderful to work with. Their work was truly flawless and they were such joys to be around!! xx

Tina did my hair and makeup for my wedding and I could not have had a better experience with anyone else. At 6am the morning of my wedding, I had to take my husband to the emergency room. Tina had to start on my bridesmaids hair and makeup before I was even at the hotel room. When I did arrive she was super professional, kept me calm and made me laugh :) Her magical makeup skills made me look like I got more than 3 hours of sleep and like I hadn't been crying in the morning! I had 8 bridesmaids and one added makeup at the last minute because she saw how beautiful everyone else looked (luckily Tina had time). Everyone who had hair and makeup done with Verde Beauty looked amazing and their hair and makeup lasted all night. I can't recommend anyone more than Verde Beauty!

EDIT:After the owner, Tina's, response to my review I went back through my email. I found emails from Tina explaining to me that there would be a travel fee if I had my services done in NOLA instead of BR. See attached photo. I'm not sure why she continues to lie. Verde Beauty was very difficult to work with. They are inflexible and hard to get ahold of. I struggled to contact them via email and phone. Verde beauty waits until you have no choice but proceed with hiring them, then adds additional random fees to the bill. When you ask about the fees, they ignore you. Furthermore, I hired her for a hair and makeup trial for my bridal photos. I scheduled an appointment, and proceeded to schedule with my florist and photographer. Four days before my bridal photos, Verde calls to tell me they cannot accommodate my appointment. Obviously this was very stressful because of the multiple people involved in the photos. They claimed my artist was in NOLA that day, therefore couldn’t do my trial in BR. I was flexible with location (BR vs NOLA) because my photo session was in NOLA. I was informed that if I had my trial in NOLA, there would be an $150 travel fee. This makes no sense. They backed out on my appointment and I was trying to work with them. Why would I be charged an additional fee? When my wedding date approached, I contacted them again to add some services to the contract. They added the services, but demanded an additional deposit of half the remaining balance on the contract. At this point, I’d paid the majority of the cost. Less than 30 days before my wedding, I was informed that there would need to be an additional artist to accommodate the number of services we requested. This added another $150 to the bill. I inquired about this, and was told I would have a dedicated artist as the bride. On my wedding day I did not have a dedicated artist. Actually, my hair and makeup was done simultaneously, causing issues with the makeup application. Verde beauty seems to have a lot of miscommunication and management issues. The artists are great, but hiring them is not worth the headache.

Shout out to Ashley, make up artist extraordinaire. I met Ashley when she did my make up for a boudoir photography session. She transformed me into a glowing gorgeous goddess. I wanted to know why my make up never turned out that way when I did it myself. I scheduled a lesson with her yesterday. She made up half of my face going over products and techniques. I made up the other half of my face with her standing by my side correcting me when needed. I walked out of my lesson a gorgeous glowing goddess! My application with her coaching was just as good as hers! She was so encouraging and friendly and gave me loads of pro tips and tricks. It may seem a little thing, to be able to put one’s make up on for the most flattering results but, for me this was so empowering! I am 58 years old and have never looked better. I highly recommend visiting Ashley for a make up lesson or book Ashley for your special occasions and treat yourself to a make up application you will not be sorry!

The contract is very one sided giving all the power to the vendor. Not very client conscious at all, especially during a pandemic. The owner will make up bogus reasons to charge you extra and the contract traps the client. Just wait until one month out from the wedding and the extra fees start rolling in. The owner constantly lies to you and then won't answer calls or emails. She is cut throat with removing any negative press to inflate her rating. She even scalps money off of her employees and friends at every turn. Anyone that works for her would honestly be better served going off on their own. Use at your own risk, expect to pay 1.5x your original quote.

Tina and Verde went above and beyond for my wedding! They were very easy to communicate and schedule with. After the pandemic, we had to reschedule the big wedding, and that process was as simple as an email! They also came through when we decided to still do a small ceremony on our original date. We let Tina know our plans about 2 weeks before the day of and she made it happen, no problem. Tina personally did my hair and makeup, and even let me borrow a veil for my ceremony since mine was stuck at the cleaners! For the big ceremony, our girls were just fabulous. All my bridesmaids looked absolutely gorgeous. Every experience I’ve had with Verde over the last 3 years had been perfect. Still to this day, Tina is the only one I’ll let cut and color my hair! I’ll definitely be using Verde for any event I have in the future.

She is so passionate about what she does and really makes me feel like I’m part of the Verde Beauty family. She always makes sure I absolutely love my hair and makeup before I leave. Tina has done my hair and makeup many times for events and photo shoots. So when I got married, I knew without a doubt I would be using Verde beauty studio. The booking was easy! Tina called me and we talked about what I wanted. All the contracts were done online. I was able to do my bridal portrait hair and makeup at the beautiful studio at Nottoway Plantation. Tina did an amazing job as always and she’s so fun to be around. Unfortunately my wedding had to be postponed because of covid. Tina worked with me when I kept having to change the date. On my new date, she wasn’t available to come herself, but she sent two of her girls for me. Ruth did the girls hair for the wedding. She was friendly, very nice and I loved my hair. Bailey did our makeup. She also was friendly, nice, and did a great job. I was very pleased with everything. I would definitely book again for anything I would need hair or makeup done for!

Tina is one of the only stylists to have cut my hair and me actually love how it turns out. In my experience many stylists will rush through and/or cut/style your hair differently than how you wanted but Tina is not like that. She is now the only person I go to because she really listens and does exactly what you’re asking for. Like REALLY does. I can be extremely particular and every single time she is patient and accommodates everything I may ask about no matter if it’s one small issue in my part or a couple hairs that I don’t like how they lay. She is very experienced and very knowledgeable about styling. For example, she knows what ways different hair needs to be styled rather than doing one method that might work for straight, fine hair on coarse, thick hair and knows what to recommend when you struggle with hair health. She is one of the only stylists I have been to that I would actually recommend to anyone and if you are trying to decide whether or not to see her (or anyone at Verde) I can almost 100% guarantee you will be glad you did!

What a great place for a ladies day out! Love, love, love this place. Ruth did an amazing job on my hair and really took the time and cared about the outcome of my highlight and cut. She was so laid back and great company while I spent time in her chair. Will definitely go back! This is my new salon! Allie, at the front desk was so sweet and fun to talk to. Very caring g as well. These women love where they work. It puts such a comfortable inviting feel in the salon.

I’m rating solely based on the unprofessional experience I’ve had trying to get in touch with this company and the response. The first call I talked directly to one of the women who took my information and told me she’d pass it to the proper person who would then call me back - a couple days later I still had not heard anything. The second call I left a voicemail - a few days later I again still had not heard anything. I finally sent an email which thankfully got a response and was able to schedule a phone conversation. The time came for the consultation - the call was late, and from the background sound it appeared (no way of confirming) the consultant was driving and not prepared to discuss my wedding details. I base my assessment of the lack of preparation on the fact that she was asking me all of the same questions I had already answered and provided them on an electronic form before I booked the consultation. I had only persisted with this company based on a friend’s recommendation. I can’t speak to the actual hair and makeup service, but I can say professionalism, response time, and communication left a great deal to be desired. Extremely displeased.

I recently got my eyebrows microbladed and eyelash extensions from Sarah Hains at Verde Beauty Studio. She did such a WONDERFUL job! I have been gushing all day over how well everything came out. If you want to feel good and look even better, go see Sarah!!!

My experience with most of the Verde staff including Tina wasn't the best, but Sarah was INCREDIBLE!! If it wasn't for her, I would have rated Verde at a 1 star. You should definitely personally ask for her above any other stylist there. She did EXACTLY what I wanted for my hair and make-up on my wedding day and made me look incredible. She was so sweet and personable to all my wedding party when she came to our house! Most all my other services done including spray tan were subpar. The other staff at the salon treated me more as a inconvenience than an actually paying customer/bride. Most of the time when I came to the salon, it seemed more like a hangout for the owner's friends. If you are going to go there and even if you aren't ask for Sarah!

Without Verde Beauty, my wedding day would not been complete without them and their services. Let me preface by saying that in the world of make-up and hair, I am a beginner. I rarely wear make-up, and I rarely style my hair, but I knew that I wanted to look glamorous for my wedding day. Immediately upon consultation, Tina was infinitely helpful and offered some great advice, considering that I was planning my wedding all by myself. I went ahead and booked them a year and a half in advance, and I didn't even want to consider another vendor. My mind was made up when I set foot inside the studio. I may not be a bride anymore, but I will always be a Verde customer! Even before my wedding, I had already used some of their salon services like microblading, hair cuts, and hair coloring and not once was I ever disappointed. Since I've moved to Baton Rouge in the last four years, I haven't found a hair stylist that I've trusted to cut my hair, until I met Karen. Karen has cut my hair several different times and she also has highlighted my hair when I never had any experience coloring my hair as well as helping me in the process of purchasing extensions for my big day (because I wanted mermaid hair). I also had Sarah for my engagement pictures, bridals, and wedding day hair & make-up, and I was seriously blown away each time. When Sarah did my engagement shoot for make-up and hair, I knew that I wanted her for my wedding day! Also, props to her mad microblading skills too because I had no eyebrows when I met her! My bridesmaids were also very impressed. My Matron of Honor stated that she wish she felt this beautiful on her wedding day after having hair and make-up done. It doesn't matter who you have for your services because you're in great hands either way. Everyone is very helpful and friendly, and every time I come in, I feel like one of the girls. So if you're on the fence, I hope this has convinced you to book Verde whether it be for wedding or salon services.
