I have been getting my hair colored by Ari for a few year. SHE IS AMAZING. She spends time really listening, and does amazing work. For the first time in a long time, today I realized how cohesive and supportive all the stylist are with each other. I just love this place. Thank you all for demonstrating kindness. My hair will never be the same! I had the best stylist; Kendra worked with my curls today, and let me tell you the experience exceeded my expectations! Kendra made me feel at ease with her knowledge and chill vibe. I told her what I wanted and she gave me just that, while also giving me the advice I’ve needed to take care of my curls correctly. The experience was professional, relaxing, and all around made me look forward to coming back!

Staff are always so kind and are genuinely happy to be there, which makes for a truly enjoyable experience. Kendra is my artist and let me tell you, she is a miracle worker, a true master of the craft! I feel as if I’m Beyoncé every time I leave her chair! I love that she communicates the entire process to ensure you aren’t lost as to what’s going on. Kendra also has such a great energy about her, an awesome sense of humor and she’s a great listener. I recommend her to every one I know!

After almost two years of trying to find a go-to stylist & salon, I finally made an appt & wandered into Urban Jonny’s. The salon itself is SO cute & cozy. Kendra was my stylist and she did an absolutely INCREDIBLE job, she’s sweet, funny, and you can tell she really knows what she’s talking about and doing. 10/10, highly recommend.

After moving to the area, Urban Jonny's Salon came recommended by a friend. I ended up booking with Kenzie Van Eck just based off next available that worked with my schedule and got so lucky! She is not only an amazing stylist listening closely to her clients and delivering great low upkeep styles but she is also a kind person for that inevitable haircut chit chat. I've already recommended her to a couple friends.

I have thick hair that is wavy and frizzy. It wants to be curly, but I don’t know how to support it so I usually just end up putting heat to it. I usually get my hair cut at Echo salon downtown, but wanted to try this place bc it’s closer to home. The haircut turned out awful. It was a really weird shape, terrible layers that were like really choppy and obvious lines. The stylist sent me home with partially wet hair, it just didn’t feel like a completed style and I was honestly like worried about even asking for any edits bc she already took off way more hair than what I’d asked for. She knew I was unhappy, so this isn’t one of those situations where I said it was all fine and am complaining elsewhere. It was that “puppy dog ear” or like, sort of triangular shape that’s common for people with thick hair that have layers cut in. It’s now about five months later and it’s grown out enough I can go back to my buddy at Echo. I’ll never cheat on her again! I think this place is probably fine for people with easy to cut hair that want standard haircuts, but if you have difficult hair, I wouldn’t personally recommend taking a chance here unless you’re prepared to really invest in the relationship and perfect things over the course of several cuts. :)

I love Urban Johnny's, I have been seeing Ari as my stylist for many years and the service is always remarkable. She takes the time to ask questions and comes up with a plan that knocks it out of the park! Highly recommend Urban Johnny's but more so recommend Ari as a stylist!!!

Omg, I cannot stress enough how amazing this experience was. Tiffany is so easy to talk to and she got exactly what I was looking for. I was kind of nervous to get bangs, but she cut them perfectly and I couldn't be happier. The location and interior design of the salon are also very cute, and from what I could tell the people working there are friendly and kind. I highly recommend this place!

The stylist was very nice. My usual stylist after 20+ years stopped doing hair. So I tried somewhere new. I showed her pictures of the length I wanted and color. I kept telling her white color as light as possible she said so yellow and carmel I said no, white I am a natural dirty blonde. Only highlights. So then she cut it and she said hows that I said okay, but shorter all over. Short dont be afraid. She only took an additional millimeter off. She did take thinning shears to an area that does what it wants and that is better now. For what I paid I will try somewhere else the next time. I

This was my first time booking at this salon and my first time meeting Kendra. When I booked, I left detailed notes about my hair concerns and challenges. I'm sure some people might have been put off or worried about my expectations, but when Kendra came out she said, "I read your notes and I'm prepared to help." Her knowledgeable, non-judgemental attitude was just what I needed. Her vibrant and kind personality made me feel welcomed and valued. She offered detailed education in response to all of my questions and helped me prioritize hair treatments according to my budget. Her skill, experience, and passion is evident in her work. For the first time in a long time, I'm excited about my hair and have been getting tons of compliments.

This was our first visit and we had Renee. She gave both of my daughters, ages 10 and 12, really cute hair cuts and styles based on pictures they showed her. Renee was super sweet, welcoming and did a great job! My daughters loved her! The atmosphere at Urban Johnny's was laid back and easy going. It's decorated very cute and has a happy, fun vibe! We will definitely be back!

I have been going to Kendra Gailey for years! She had the courage to tell me that my "self-color" on my hair was not a good look. She had to take about three months of coloring, foils and cutting to get my hair back in condition. My hair is thicker, more manageable and in the best condition. She's will tell you the truth about your hair based on her professional knowledge. Kendra works with your hair so that the end result is healthier. I have fashionable friends that look at everything with a critical eye and they always compliment my hair. They say that it is perfect for my face and coloring. Thanks Kendra!

Wonderful experience! I loved the service and welcoming atmosphere of the salon. They just did a recent renovation and the design of the salon is perfection. Also the hair washing stations were the most comfortable ones I’ve used. Love love love!
