This store has the most incompetent staff, including the manager. Poor customer service and so lazy. I used to be a retail manager many years ago and I understand how draining the holidays are. However, it’s always best to be kind to your customers, especially when they are trying to ask questions about merchandise and keep the eye rolling to yourself. I strongly recommend some training and leadership development for this group. It’s really disappointing because this is the location closest to my house. I’ll stick to the Rim location.

I honestly don't know if it is Marissa with an “A” or Merissa with an “E” but I do know she informed me brows was her speciality. I wanted to publicly thank her for her patience, kindness, and overall knowledge of the products I wanted to be more informed about but also introducing me to a new scent that I truly admire & left the store with today lol! I used to come to this store a lot, but stopped because I kept getting followed around. I used to be in weekly, as I work nearby, and always left with something. Anyway, a few months ago I started to see this new worker, who I am assuming is a manager or loss prevention, who would follow me around and stare at me whenever I came in. It made me super uncomfortable. I literally stopped coming to this location because I didn't want to be profiled anymore. I am a woman of color so I'm used to being followed around at store, but I was still disappointed that this kept happening since I've had mostly good experiences otherwise. I almost never leave reviews but today I was reminded why I domt come here anymore. I came in for 2 items and knew where they were so I went straight to them. As I was walking I noticed the worker looking at me and saying something into her microphone, before I even did anything. I was gonna keep shopping but I didn't want to be followed so I just bought the 2 items then left. Besides this issue I've generally had good experiences at this store and the workers have been friendly

older lady was rude ash couldn’t break up her conversation w/ a coworker to help us lol. gave us a random bottle and kept talking. exact words when we asked for the product were “can u wait?”.

My sister and I went looking for specific items, foundation, concealer and setting powder. No one greeted us as we came in or even acknowledged us while in the store. No assistance while looking for items. Very rude and not the Ulta experience that we are used to. We have shopped at various locations in the San Antonio area and have never experienced such rudeness. Although I found the items I was looking for I left and purchased them elsewhere I just couldn’t stomach paying my money to a rude establishment.

went in for some products that i KNOW help my skin, instead was told by someone, who kinda didn’t seem like an employee but am sure somehow was, that the products are horrible and like gasoline and was told to use another brand.. so instead of spending what should’ve been around $15 on skin care i ended up spending around $40 for one product. i didnt mind being shown another brand but the way they spoke so negatively and slightly aggressive about one brand made me feel obligated to buy the other brand and it seemed like they were just watching me to see if i would put it back for my original brand that again I KNOW works (walked back to look and they walked by looking at me till i backed away). also looked up everything they said and am seeing the opposite.. only certain products from the original brand aren’t good but i knew that and those weren’t the ones i had..

Rude personnel. Came with a young relative, so she can make her first cosmetic purchase, we spent over $200 (with no associates support), upon checkout I asked a pretty nasty cashier for a couple of samples to try at home, she rolled her eyes, opened a draw full of different samples and miniatures, was digging for a very long time and finally with a smirk gave my young companion a piece of paper with a men’s cologne smell (scratch and sniff). You needed to see those eyes with the standing tears, the disappointment and the overall unpleasant feeling. The cashier didn’t thank us for the visit, nothing. Her manager was next to her and didn’t show any customer service. The store was empty, just two of us and another lady who was browsing. I personally don’t support Ulta because they always had bad service, but this visit was the last drop. My young relative was obviously disappointed, but didn’t say anything. This is how you are loosing clients.

Kat was hands down one of the best employees I’ve ever had an interaction with anywhere. She was amazing when it came to giving recommendations based off my preference and products I already had in my basket. She was so sweet and patient - it was such a pleasure shopping with her. I’d recommend asking for her if you’re looking for someone to be honest about the products who will help guide you towards the right buy. I love Ulta already but she is the reason for the 5 star!
