Can I just say way to go Dalton!!!! I love my hair color. As an older woman who misses her dark hair, Dalton was able to get rid of the ugly blonde I came in with and change the color to an awesome ash color that enhances my features. I showed him pictures of what I wanted and he delivered!

Truman Grey is near my downtown office and my normal stylist was out, so I randomly went here and had my hair cut by Missy. Fast forward three years and I'm now a loyalist to Truman Grey and of course Missy. Missy is not only an amazing professional but a lovely human being.

Booked an appointment with Izzy, not knowing what to expect. Best haircut I've had in years. YEARS. My hair is prone to fray if cut bluntly, she knew just how to handle it for a soft bob. And the scalp massage was so relaxing. Thank you Izzy!

It's my first appointment with Trumangrey. My hairstylist is Auriel. Highly recommend. She is fantastic. Easy to communicate and listen. Her haircut skills are absolutely amazing. She delivered what I asked even though I didn't show any photos or too many details. I'm so pleased with my new hairstyle. I know she is pretty good at coloring, too. I'm definitely going back. It's my new favo salon,now.😁

Spur of the moment appointment (full highlights and haircut) with Izzy was beyond amazing. Definitely coming back to her. I flew into town for the weekend and she didn’t disappoint. Great atmosphere! Everyone I met was professional and kind from the receptionist, to the the shampoo lady, to the stylist. Deb who washed my hair did a thorough job, left my hair feeling amazing! Emily my stylist, did an awesome job. I've been to many stylist and she is the only one in 6 years to give me exactly what I asked for. I couldn't be more pleased with the results! I travel from Destin, FL about every 6 months and now Truman Grey will be a must stop each time!

I called and made an appt at Truman Grey, and specifically asked for a toner and a root touch up on my money piece. I arrived at my appt, and the stylist said she only had me booked for a blowout, which was incorrect for what I had booked with the receptionist. The stylist informed me that I was “lucky” and she was free after, so she was able to accommodate my “unplanned request”, not taking responsibility for the miscommunication on their side. I asked to tone my hair a light brown, and after she put on the toner and let it process, the color barely looked changed and was much brighter than I asked for. When she asked me about the color, I said that it was still a little too bright for what I was looking for. She informed me that next time I should bring photos so she knows more clearly what I want (I brought photos, she just never asked to see them). Their hair washer also completely soaked my back and the shirt I was wearing, and the stylist laughed at it when I showed her my drenched back. Would not recommend going back, especially since it was $135 for a handful of foils, toner and a blowout.

Let me first start by saying Rachel, who has been cutting my hair for over a year has done an incredible job, especially when it so hard to find stylists that can cut hair like mine. I've only preferred to give her business and tipped her accordingly over the last year since moving to Nashville. My only gripes are with the misalignment of both of our schedules. Her time blocks are usually in the middle of the workday, so I would be coming out of meetings/ getting back from work trips to make my appointment. There were some where I was ~10 minutes late because of this and after some time I had a no show because I was stuck in an airport and they charged my card, fair enough. Today, as usual, I had a meeting running up right at 10am which was my appointment time so I was 8 min late to my appointment, and I walked in and the front desk lady (Carlee who does my brows) was excessively stern with me, showing 0 empathy, said they couldn't see me anymore, will still charge my card, and is essentially expelling me from getting my haircuts there. I understand rules and policies, but after giving this establishment my business and trying my best to make my appointments, I was bothered by how dismissive they were, especially during the holidays. You'd think after building mutual rapport with a stylist where you talk about your life and their life/family that there would be more alternatives than to cut me off like I am meaningless customer. This is truly unfortunate because I did like coming here, they do a great job, but customer loyalty doesn't seem to be a priority for this business.

I had the worst coloring experience and hair salon service of my life. I asked the colorist to lighten my roots- I told her I loved my current blonde color but the roots were growing in. It took 2.5 hours and when she dried my hair, my roots were darker and my hair was a mousy brown. I was stunned and asked her what happened. She then told me that to lighten it, it would require another visit for highlights that would take an additional 2.5 hours. She walked me to the door and at the register who asked me how it went as she rang me up. I told her that my hair was darker when I asked for lighter. She repeated the colorists statement that that to lighten my hair it would require another visit for highlights and asked when I wanted to book it. They then charged me for the full color (again all I wanted was a toner for my roots) which was almost $200. I paid and left.

Izzy is a dream! Everyone here was so so kind and made me feel so beautiful and excited for my magical transformation. I told Izzy I feel more like myself after sitting in her chair. She brought my non binary fairy fantasy to life and really stuck it out with me! Such a hard worker and good soul. I will def. Be back! In fact I think I am stopping in to pick up a shampoo recommendation! Thank you so so much! Beyond happy every time I look in the mirror!

Just moved to Nashville and called the salon to see if they had availability and if anyone there was able to do blonde hair. Was told I could come in the next day for an appointment with Missy. Let’s just say I wish I never went. I’ve spent thousands on my hair over the years to keep my blonde and she’s ruined it in one appointment. I have stripped chunky highlights that go all they way to my scalp - quite literally looks like Karen highlights. I asked to stay cool toned and she made my hair bright yellow and orange. When doing the hair cut she said she was giving me long layers and good god this lady made the top layer of my hair ear length and the bottom layer shoulder length - no blending of the layers. I am aware I could go back in to have her “fix” it but I am terrified to even have her anywhere near my hair. I went to another salon in town as soon as I left her chair and the hair stylist said she couldn’t touch my hair for a few weeks due to Missy frying my hair with the bleach. I normally take an hour to lift with heat and Missy only had me in foils for 25 minutes. Both my mom and sisters cried when they saw my hair. I will be wearing hats until I can get this fixed. Please please steer clear of Missy.
