I have thick curly hair that I prefer to wear short. It's hard to find a stylist. Haegan did an amazing job. I showed them a photo, explained what had gone wrong with previous cuts, and they took their time and made my hair look like the photo. Impressive. I'm coming back. Curly hair folks: Haegan is in.

Haegan cut my hair and they were fantastic. I appreciate the time and attention to truly crafting a haircut that made me feel so much better after nearly a year of no significant cuts. I have a lot of hair and I typically feel like my cuts are rushed, and that stylist aren’t taking the time and attention for them, or I’m forced to book more time (yes I’ve booked two cuts back to back and paid for them both!) But Haegan never seemed rush and took a lot of time to tailor the cut to me, my hair and addressed all of my previous concerns. Loved this whole salon!

I am so grateful that Ace saved me from one of the worst haircuts I've ever gotten! I'm transmasc and the new cut from Ace makes me feel so affirmed. If you're queer and your hair means a lot to you, you're in good hands here xx

I had my first appointment with Mo recently, and I can confidently say I’ve found my new go-to stylist! From the moment I sat down, Mo made me feel comfortable and truly listened to what I wanted. It can be nerve-wracking to try someone new, but Mo’s expertise and friendly approach put me instantly at ease. They took the time to understand my hair goals and went above and beyond to deliver results that exceeded my expectations. My hair has never looked better, and I left feeling refreshed and confident. Cut for the first time with Ace. They did a great consultation with me before the cut, and got a great handle on what I was looking for with my long to short haircut with a no muss routine. Dry cut my hair to get the most out of my wavy texture. Left the salon with slightly damp curls, so here's the 3 day update.Have now lived with it for a few days, washed, styled, slept on with a morning tousle and go. Best haircut I have had in over a decade! The messier it is, the better it looks.

It was my first visit and I am very happy with everything about it. Hailey was one of the most knowledgeable and helpful stylists I've had. She tailored the appointment to my hair type (curly) and answered questions about my scalp, and recommendations for washing and styling, which sounds basic but I've had so many stylists give a "one size fits all" type of answer to this. She also styled it curly at the end which I appreciated as I was able to actually assess the cut. Would definitely recommend and will be returning.

I am getting married this spring and treated myself to a pre-wedding facial with Alice and I have to say it was one of the best I've ever had. The wedding industrial complex has gotten me down and I sought to go to Transfiguration for skincare because I knew that with their gender affirming model / praxis of care I would be listened to, cared for, and recognized. Alice did a wonderful job, beginning with a thorough intake in which she listened to all my concerns about my skin; the cleansing and masking was also awesome, and I left with glowing skin. Most importantly, Alice explained my skin to me in a way that I understood, gave me recommendations for affordable products to add to my regime, and affirmed my natural beauty. Overall, Alice was welcoming, kind, and attentive to my needs and to my individuality - I intend to go back many times for follow-ups!

I've gotten my hair cut by Angel since 2023; I moved up to PA pretty recently, so finding a new hairdresser who happened to be so welcoming, skilled, and funny made my moving transition even better. Additionally, every staff member in the studio is genuinely kind and very professional; they make you feel like a person rather than just another customer. I never feel stressed or pressured when coming in for my appointments, and I always leave feeling more confident and authentically me. I recommend coming here 1,000% Also, the studio is so welcoming, pretty, and clean inside!!

I can't say enough nice things abt Alice. Her space was very cozy and relaxing, downstairs from the rest of the studio. This was my first time having my brows done, and Alice made me feel right at home. She explained things thoroughly and clearly. The results? Alice reshaped my brows in a way that compliments my facial features in so many ways, all while working around a decent sized scar on my right eyebrow absolutely flawlessly. I could not be happier with the results and will definitely be back!!!

i have gotten my hair cut here 3 times. 1 time with ace and twice with jess and they are both incredible. they took their time with me and understood my desire for gender affirming haircut and style that would work with my personality! cant say enough about this salon and their stylists.

Going to a new salon is always nerve wracking, but Mo hit it out of the park! Mo listened to what I was looking for, and had good ideas about adjusting my 'do so I wouldn't look goofy. This might be my favorite hair cut I've ever gotten -- it air dries perfectly every time. I don't even know how that's possible lol.

I can not say enough good things about the space and the staff at this hair studio! Every time I get my hair done with Jess, I leave feeling so confident and heard especially after the thorough consultation we have at the beginning of each session. Maybe also does an amazing job with waxing! As soon as I walked into to that appointment, I felt relaxed and able to chat with Maybe as if we were life-long friends, and my eyebrows looked wonderful and natural. The cost of services is truly worth the safety, serenity, and quality results I receive from Transfiguration.

I got a haircut from Jess a while back and it was, hands down, the best haircut I’ve ever gotten. The music was really well curated and wasn’t too loud, I was accommodated with regard to my disability, and my gender was affirmed and respected throughout the process. And, of course, my hair turned out great! After growing it out for a couple years, I went from long hair back to short hair, which is always a very scary change to make. But, thankfully, I was in good hands with Jess!! If you are transgender, non-binary, or otherwise gender non-conforming, I can’t recommend Transfiguration Hair Studio enough. Even if you’re not any of the above, you should schedule a haircut with them regardless! The team there is super nice and my haircut was worth every penny. (:

I liked the environment and that they're very queer friendly however I wasn't terribly impressed with their work. I asked for a mohawk and showed a pic of exactly what I wanted. The end result was lop sided and uneven . I felt like the stylist rushed toward the end. At first I felt just okay w/the end result but a few days later I wasn't satisfied at all. the wait to get an appointment and cost were wildly overpriced for only a half hour which was rushed toward the end especially for almost $100!

I've been going to Transfiguration for four years and I cannot recommend them highly enough – I've never had a better experience at a salon. I've seen Hailey and Angel for cut and color, and they both are ✨artists✨. Really, every person who works there is so kind, and they put so much care into every cut and pay attention to detail. My hair has never looked better, even a month or two after a cut. I tell all of my friends to go to them, and everyone has had a great experience. 10000% recommend them.
