Beautiful salon friendly staff but not good experience with haircuts. Extremely disappointed. The color was nice but i had the worst haircut ever.

I always go to Scott Millers to get my highlights done. I've never had a bad experience with them. This is the first time I came to this salon. My highlight appointment was with Erica. I had touched up my roots days prior to the appointment but she touched them up again. My roots looks orange. Then, they set up an appointment with sarah to try and fix it . She was a sweet person though. It is not Sarah's fault, she tried to clean it up but it wasn't possible. I spent $240+ with tip and I am not satisfied. I wouldn't come here again

I’ve had very mixed experiences here. I’ve gotten my hair trimmed/waxes here before and they did well. However recently I went here to schedule an appointment for my wedding hair. First I scheduled a trial and my stylist cancelled twice over the span of about a month. At this point it was only two weeks before my wedding and they couldn’t fit me in with another “senior stylist” so I went with another random stylist and understood appointment would be free of charge for the inconvenience. However once the trial was done (it took almost 3 hours and still wasn’t quite right) I still had to pay 95+ tip as apparently only the hair cut was free (25) and I still was expected to pay for the styling. Then we get to my wedding day and I am supposed to have a senior stylist but was cancelled on a THIRD time the day of my wedding and was only told once I arrived at the salon. The same girl who did my trial did my wedding hair and I didn’t complain much because who wants to complain on their wedding day. My bridal party also got their hair done and it was all beautiful but mine took an extra hour compared to my bridal party even though I requested a very very simple style , just curls and a little bit pinned back, and it came out very poorly despite me trying to steer the stylist in the right direction. I had to redo my hair completely afterwards even though I paid over 100 for my hair. I curled it myself and had a wedding guest who happened to do hair help me style it. Took less then 20 minutes and was perfect when we did it ourselves. After the wedding I looked back at the photos they took at the salon and I can’t believe they let me walk out like it was! Totally falling out, messy, asymmetrical and bobby-pins showing (Photos from the salon and by the time I got home) About 3 weeks after my wedding when all the celebrations were done we called this salon back to explain what happened and ask for a partial refund or at least something. My mother who called was accused of “extortion” by the owner when she said she was calling before I posted this review… which is an honest review and we wanted to give them a chance to right it before complaining online. Then we were told we should have planned my wedding further out which has nothing to do with them messing up my hair so much. In the end they said they would call us back and it’s been 4 days now. Overall really disappointing, This was the most stressful part of my whole wedding. They should have done more to compensate me or at least done my hair well… this was my WEDDING hair for crying out loud.

Beautiful people all the way around. Kind and generous with service that is always great. Great atmosphere in a spot next to the canal and food. It's 35 bucks for a cut but it's still cheaper than my shrink and I always feel better.

Had my first visit to a salon here in Pittsford. Up until now I had used various barber shops here & in Webster. I was very impressed with my experience with Alex. She was friendly, paid attention to my requests, answered my questions and overall did an excellent job.

I went to this salon in 2018 to have my balayage touched up. I’d been having balayage done for a while but had gone to a different salon for it. Decided to give tru salon a try. The stylist applied the lift upon washing it out she discovered that my hair hadn’t taken the lift. It looked like nothing had been done to my hair. She claimed that this was normal and I’d have to come back for another try. The salon then made me pay full price. I didn’t say anything at the time bc the reality of it all hadn’t sank in. However I am not sure why I was supposed to pay full price for something that is arguably the stylists fault. I have never had this happen at any other salon so to me it doesn’t seem normal. I never went back.

Always a great experience/service at salon, just wish the price did not fluctuate so much between stylists. Seems like each one I get charges as much, if not more, than the last (and I don't always get told). Especially when I ask for the same exact thing each time I go. (January I think it was $53 with tip. This month it was $61.)

My first experience at tru was a haircut and styling by Chelsey. It was wonderful! I enjoyed every minute even though she used a process that was new to me. The results are a new hairstyle that I love! The only thing that will impede future visits is the handicapped access. It will be very difficult for me to navigate in slippery weather.
