Joel is a miracle worker! Whether I need a relaxing massage to rejuvenate or a deep tissue session because my body is attempting to show it's age, he always makes me feel like a million bucks walking out. Joel is also able and willing to help make the connection between mind and body, so I come out restored physically AND mentally. I highly recommend him to everyone!!

On a whim I scheduled an appointment at the very end of the day on a Monday to help fix a mobility issue I had with my right shoulder. I expected to get a massage and maybe some instructions for PT, but I left with a combined massage and reiki session and healing beyond my wildest dreams! The massage resulted in immediate relief and I have since returned one time and it has totally healed. Keep in mind that I hadn't been able to move my shoulder without pain for 8 months! The Reiki was the real surprise. I hadn't realized that the busy work-filled summer had taken such a large toll. I was feeling heavy and disconnected from my inner source of wellbeing and the reiki completely transformed my energy. This was one of the most impactful healing sessions of my life-- noteworthy in that I felt totally safe and at ease with Joel, the Reiki Master/massage therapist AND that the reiki resulted in an immediate lightness and relief. The whole thing was a huge cooincidence-- literally the moment the session was over I received a call from my parent who had been injured while hiking the CDT and needed an immediate pick up. The healing session allowed me to be present during an incredibly stressful and emotional event rather than 'rushing through it on autopilot'. Getting the reiki literally changed the course of the event for me and my whole family. Joel is the REAL DEAL!! Do not pass go. You will not regret!

When I first walked into the office, I wasn't sure what I needed. My body hurt. My soul hurt. Everything hurt. Joel is a truly gifted healer. So many times he intuitively knows exactly the spot to nurture, exactly the place to focus healing. He is collaborative with clients and welcomes direction with equal grace. When there are tears, he holds a safe space. When there is laughter, he is right there too (and he is a RIOT!) It takes a lot of vulnerability to allow someone to tend to your battered spirit. My trust has been well placed in Joel's skilled hands and generous heart.

It is with heartfelt and genuine sincerity that I am writing to post this review for Therapeutic Restoration Massage in general and its practitioner, Joel specifically. The name of this wonderful organization is SO appropriate for the enormous benefit that I am receiving from their care of me. I have been suffering from chronic, and almost debilitating, lower back pain for the past two months. I have sought relief through my primary care physician, an orthopedic specialist, and a chiropractor. They just prescribed muscle relaxers and Ibuprofen and suggested I try alternating heat and cold. Nothing has helped. Finally, a friend of mine referred me to Joel at Therapeutic Restoration Massage. I have received one deep tissue massage and have followed-up with bodywork specifically targeting my lower back. This morning when I work up and got out of bed, the improvement was astonishing. Joel has given me a series of exercises to do to “get my hips back under me.” The exercises are very reminiscent of a couple of easy-to-do yoga poses. In addition to physical bodywork, I have found Joel to be an exquisitely and intriguing individual on a personal level. Joel is very knowledgeable about the “whole body” experience including the spiritual, mental, and emotional aspects of our wellness. We have had delightful conversations about nutrition, spiritual growth, and opening the chakras! Facility is very clean and comfortable. Joel is friendly and professional. My experiences have been one of the most life transformative. I received my first ever Reiki sessions with Joel. He made me feel relaxed and comfortable. That experience in itself was so healing as I was able to release a lot of emotions. Not even 10 minutes of sitting in his office chair and I was in tears of joy. I could feel the love. Since then I’ve had multiple healing sessions with Joel. Mostly Reiki and some massage and Tbar. Which by the way is also, AMAZING. I especially liked the Tbar as he applied the most perfect pressure along several Trigger points on my back. In each one of our sessions I am able to release anything that is not serving me for my highest good. Since receiving healing work from Joel I have felt better than ever! Not only physically but emotionally and mentally too. My heart has opened up to all the endless possibilities and love I want to share. I definitely recommend booking your next healing session with Joel, if you’d like to feel the love.

I first starting working with Joel shortly after receiving a life-saving organ transplant. Both the illness that warranted the procedure, as well as the recovery from it, left my body painfully battered. I needed healing from head to toe; from inside and out! Joel's passion for improving the mental and physical lives of other's, his expertise in a variety of healing techniques, and his commitment to constantly broaden his prowess in order to accommodate individual needs, are the reasons I am able to fully harness my second chance at life!

I have gotten a lot of massages around town and on vacation before, but hands down Therapeutic Restoration Healing is the BEST!!! If I have an area in my neck or back that is bothering me, I let him know and walk out feeling a 100% better. Also the website is easy to navigate to book a time. If I could do 6 stars I would.

Joel is fantastic! I’ve been through two meniscus surgeries in about a year so recovery/rehab has been a big focus of mine. Joel has been an integral part of that. He listens to my thoughts and feedback and provides massage to those areas that we feel are most beneficial. I leave my sessions not only feeling great physically but mentally as well. Being an active guy with two young kids, Joel will be a part of my workout and recovery for the foreseeable future. Thanks Joel!

Joel’s hands are insightful in finding trouble areas that need massage, and working efficiently and with great result! I was pleasantly surprised, and felt better for days afterwards. I find him to be personable and a good listener as to what is needing help. Have been to many massage therapists over time, and Joel is my preferred massage maestro. Highly recommended.

My life has significantly changed since starting with Joel at Therapeutic Restoration. With weekly & bi-weekly massage/reiki/energy work as well as various other modalities, my pain has lessened, movement has increased, headaches are almost non-existent (from being daily) and my energy is higher. Overall my life is continuing to improve & Joel helps to instruct me on how to do self care in order to remain healthy! I stay at a level of massage that I am comfortable with and am never pressured to do more than I want or need which I appreciate. I highly recommend Joel for pain relief, learning self care in order for a more positive lifestyle!

Wow! So my shoulder had been bothering me for over a month. Couldn't lift my arm, couldn't pick anything up or put on a shirt without being in a good amount of pain. Some of my women friends highly suggested I go see Joel and am I VERY happy I did. Not only was my shoulder very tight and almost frozen but I was also carrying a lot of my emotions in my shoulder! Joel helped me release a lot of trauma I was carrying in my shoulders! I started crying and my body started shaking but it felt SO good to just let that go. Not only did Joel help fix my shoulder, he helped me let go of a lot of emotions that weren't serving a purpose anymore! I will forever be grateful for Joel and his exceptional service. So looking forward to going back and having him work on my knee!

I've been a patient coming up on 3 years now. When I 1st started going I had a left shoulder that I could hardly use and was in constant lower back pain. I've been able to work past all of those things because of the deep tissue massage that I've received over the past 3 years. I am way more mobile than I've been in 10 years because of going regularly. I'm so grateful for the improvement to my quality of life.

Incredible! Joel LISTENED to me and responded by focusing on what I needed ... not his agenda. He incorporated Reiki which got me extremely relaxed and allowed the healing to happen. Whenever I leave joel, I'm amazed at how much lighter my step is and how I am pain free.. not to mention how much happier and positive I feel. His enthusiasm for life is contagious and I really can't get enough. I can't recommend Joel highly enough. You have to experience it for yourself to understand what an awesome healer joel is!

Joel is a great massage therapist but beyond that he has been able to learn other modalities of this healing art. I've have a lot of massages in my life and he by far has exceeded any of my past therapists. He's concerned about a clients health including body, mind and soul. Because of his talent, he can guide the treatment to help you wherever possible in a safe, clean and relaxing environment.

Once upon a time, I was struggling physically in so many aspects. In the same time frame, two previous pregnancies were causing severe misalignment in my hips - and in turn caused excruciating pain when I did practically anything (even just standing or sitting), a persistent pinched nerve in my shoulder, and a torn muscle in my forearm. I felt like I was literally falling apart. I'm not sure when enough was enough, but I decided to find someone that would actually help me restore my body back to normal. Joel from the beginning was absolutely welcoming and knowledgeable. He carries a particularly warm and comforting presence. He asked me exactly what was bothering me, how it affected me on a multitude of levels, and got to work. He walked me through stretches prior each massage, worked on exactly what my main problem area was, and provided me things to do at home in between our sessions. It was his mission just as much as mine to feel better and improve my quality of life, which he's been able to do time and time again. I no longer suffer from hip issues on a daily basis, my arm completely healed with his help, and my shoulder is no longer a constant reminder of me not taking care of myself! Joel has gotten me through multiple physical ailments, provided me comfort during a third pregnancy, and helps me maintain an extraordinarily improved existence. He's able to find spots on my body that need healing without even saying anything. I honestly don't know how I would be if I didn't have him as my massage therapist - and he's also a natural psychotherapist - if his hands ever fall too tired for massage, I've told him to counsel the mind instead. ! Luckily for his clients, he is a Reiki Master and incorporates his healing energy as well into the work he does. He's absolutely brilliant and one of a kind with so many qualities and talents. The best massage therapy I ever had. Joel really loves helping people and it is evident in his work. He cares and he continues to seek new ways to help people heal. I know my pain levels are significantly decreased when I am able to have therapeutic massage consistently and having a dedicated professional therapist is key. That's what you get with Joel.
