I have been going to the Pearl for 10+ years for facials both in Maple Lawn and Columbia. Where it used to be a wonderful relaxing spa it is now longer. They do not shovel the snow on your long path or steps to get there. If you get there early for your treatment you are invited to sit in your robe in a make shift coed waiting room. It is now very crowded and when going into the dressing room there were multiple women walking around nude. When I asked to reschedule due to it not being a relaxing environment anymore they said they told me they would charge me $90.00. to the card in file. I had a gift card which they would not use. They are NOT the Pearl from Maple Lawn. They are now a factory with no heart. I also got Covid from them in 2021 on my birthday.

Disappointing experience! Definitely not the spa experience I excepted especially considering the price. Pedicure was way overpriced and didn’t include things in the description for the ones I booked (the cleopatra pedicure). Very basic yet cost $110 each plus tip! Unprofessional staff for pedicures too. Giving two stars solely because the facial was excellent and Courtney was great! Perhaps good for some services but definitely avoid for pedicures…you can get much better at any nail salon for way less! Was also overcharged…they did fix that but make sure to pay attention to your charges to make sure they’re right!

Had to re-do an old review because WOW. Nothing but pure bliss at The Pearl. Kind employees /staff along with amazing service. Not only are you transformed into a pure tranquil environment as soon as you enter, but the options you can do are endless. I had Nyjila for my therapist and seriously? Incredible. My body needed a good massage and she delivered. I can't wait to go back. Thank you, Nyjila!!! This place is galaxies away from your average massage studio; it seriously was worth it in every way shape or form. You MUST give it a shot. Fair warning, you won't be able to stop coming back. See you soon, Pearl!

I don't know what the deal is with this place. The spa in Maple Lawn used to be really nice. I had excellent customer service there. The staff at this location is terrible. Both the girl at check-in and basically everyone in The Healing Waters was rude or oblivious (too much phone usage on the clock). The facility itself is pretty, although I hate that they got rid of the super quiet sitting room from the old location. That was nice and relaxing - the new one is out in the open and doesn't really lend itself to a relaxing atmosphere. I liked the 90 min Healing Waters session but I don't know if I'd say it was quite worth the money. I did enjoy the sauna in the women's locker room. It looked rather clean. However, customer service is a HUGE part of a spa experience and it's a reason I would not return. In fact, I was so put off by the girl at check-in I was about to leave. The Pearl's managerial staff better get their employees in order or it's going to turn a lot of old customers away.

I had the unfortunate experience of scheduling a pedicure at the pearl spa. The pedicure started 15 minutes late. This was NOT a relaxing experience. The manicurist was very rough while completing the pedicure. My friends pedicures lasted 1 hour. Mine was over in 30 minutes. I would NOT recommend this spa.

15/10. The DC area needs more thermal spas like this. The only other one in the entire region really is King Spa in NOVA. Water (hot or cold) heals many things. Super soft towels. Welcoming environment. Nice detail. Very pleasant place to soak.

Had a wonderful experience at The Pearl today. I had an excellent 90 min massage with Mayasin. Mayasin is skilled and provided just the touch I needed (nice deep tissue alongside more standard Swedish-style techniques). The facility was nice as well with a clean and up to date locker room, showers, a nice hot sauna, and a lounge area to relax in afterwards. Highly recommended.

I have been here twice to experience the healing waters. The staff is kind and welcoming. The spa itself is clean and relaxing. Water truly heals and I felt so relaxed and refreshed. I had two amazing experiences! Highly recommend.

I’ve been going to The pearl spa for many many years. It’s been one of my favorite spas in the area for quite a while. This was my first time going to The pearl spa since it’s moved to Columbia Maryland by Whole Foods. It’s a little tricky to find as there is no large exterior sign. Luckily there was a small sandwich or sign right outside to guide you into the building entrance, which is to the left of Whole Foods. Once inside the building, you take the elevator to level 1 and you’ll enter the pearl spa, where nirvana is near. I signed up for a sound healing experience at The pearl spa where you float in their swimming pool to the sound of relaxing healing chimes and ocean waves. Prior to being escorted to the pool, the receptionist invited us to go to the lounge where we could sit and relax and enjoy flavored waters or herbal teas while we waited. Once we got to the pool, we removed our shoes and socks, and where greeted by an staff member who asked if we wanted to have some Palo Santo smudged around us before the experience. There were two lifeguards to assist with getting onto the inflatable mattresses. Luckily bathing suits were not required or necessary as you are not immersed in the water at all during the experience The experience begins with a guided meditation and deep breathing exercises as you float gently in the pool. After about an hour, the experience concludes, and you are guided to exit the pool with the assistance of the lifeguards. The entire experience last for about an hour, and it was wonderful so relaxing so calming After the experience concluded, the staff member came back to ask if we wanted to experience some aromatherapy where we had a choice of two scents or you could have both a mist of inner peace and infinite joy. The pearl spa has a nice little store where you can find lots of body care, aromatherapy and other healing products. I would like to go back for a massage or spa treatment and enjoy the healing waters. There is a cold plunge pool, steam shower, sauna and other amenities. The pearl spa also offers aerial yoga classes and group acupuncture among treatments and experiences. It a lovely and relaxing place, where self care is paramount.

No reminder texts or messages or anything regarding an appointment that was made a month ago... but then of course,I get a call from them for a no show & charge for missed appointment. Of course, calling & reaching a representative is near impossible! I will NOT be making any more appointments here in the future. Terrible customer service

The salt room and healing waters were underwhelming, especially considering the price paid. The facilities were basic and did not seem clean. I wore brand new white sandals, which appeared dirty after walking around the healing waters area in them.

I tried emailing the spa directly to rectify this issue or at least warn management of their facility. But I never got a response. So I’m writing this review in hopes to warn guests of my experience. My email: Early August my office and I visited the facility as apart of our work retreat. I wanted to express my concerns after attending the healing waters for a couple hours after our pre arranged activities. My one colleague and I were in the larger regular pool after enjoying the other spaces. While in the pool we noticed the murky water and didn't think anything of it because of the standards we expected of your facility. Then the gentleman decided to test the waters when we were in it. Still didn't think anything of it. We enjoyed the rest of our morning and left. Not even a day after the visit we both experienced symptoms of infection in a delicate area. We both had to visit our doctors during our work hours to get medication to treat the infection. I am highly disappointed in the cleanliness of your facility. I have friends and family visit your facility often and I was excited to try The Pearl Spa for the first time. Please take this complaint into consideration to have the waters checked even more frequently to prevent any future illnesses in your guests.” Please beware of the waters, I should have known better when I noticed the water. Not going back. Warned all my family friends and colleagues and it’s just an unfortunate situation.

I can’t say enough about the excellent job that Nikki my masseuse did today! She was so warm, friendly, knowledgeable and very inviting. She not only specializes in relaxation but the medical benefits of massage. She even took the time after my massage to explain how to care for my problem areas. And then she gave me and my husband a full tour of the facility which I didn’t realize there were so many other amenities to choose from! This was a wonderful experience and I plan to come back to see Nikki! You will leave refreshed!

I got a massage for the first time at Pearl today! Nikki was my masseuse and she did a fabulous job. She applied the right amount of pressure and always asked if I was OK. I would definitely recommend her.

I had a heated stone massage at the Pearl with Nikki, and it was fantastic. Nikki really put in the work! I had a ton of tension in my neck and she really helped me feel more relaxed and even gave me some great advice for after my session. This was my first experience with hot stones, and she explained how everything would work and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. I would definitely return!

I love this place! The facility and amenities are immaculate - very clean, cozy and comfy. I especially love the robe, slippers, warm neck wrap, and herbal teas they treat you with before and after your service. The healing waters are an absolute must if you have the time as well. The staff are pleasant, professional and accommodatong, and the massage therapists are top notch. My absolute favorite is Nikki! She's so personable, attentive, and thoughtful - and it's very clear that she knows her stuff. Best massage I've had in a looooong time. I always walk out of THE Pearl feeling pampered, relaxed and refreshed. Highly recommend!

Listennnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn, I will be returning once a month just for the Healing waters. I love it. The Cold Plunge did it for me, then the Sauna, then the Jacuzzi. The pool made me want to sleep(very good thing for me) very relaxing. (Spectacular) And yes! I found about this through tiktok This was my 2nd visit, its just relaxing , I have been challenging myself with the Cold Plunge. My 1st visit I did 10mins, this visit I did 15 mins. Jacuzzi, Pool & Steam Room just leaves me RELAXED.

My much needed visit to the Pearl for simple ‘ me time’ and rejuvenation was great! The staff were very accommodating and polite. My healing waters experience was totally relaxing. Just when I thought it couldn’t get better, my visit ended with an amazing massage from Nikki. Nikki’s way of connecting with her clients and making sure she pays attention to their individual needs, areas of concern, amount of pressure etc. really is a gift! You can tell she likes what she does and cares about doing a great job! She is one of a kind and definitely an asset to the business!

I had the best facial ever with Ife at the Pearl. What an incredible experience. She was so kind and had a warm welcoming presence. I’ve had many facials in my life. I worked at a day spa for 10+ years and this was hands down the best facial. She gave excellent product recommendations, her massage was relaxing, she used great pressure, and each step in the facial flowed flawlessly. I can’t wait to go back. I found my new facialist.

3 stars were given for the massage I had with Debbie. She was excellent! Unfortunately the rest of my experience wasn’t too great. The Pearl feels like a glorified gym. While waiting for your spa treatment you sit in a very large and open area where people are talking loudly and coming out of fitness classes. I felt uncomfortable being the only one sitting there in a robe. The locker room was bright and clean, but the lockers are way too close to one another with only a few small benches to sit on. The Element experience was strange. It was super hot inside and I was under the impression there would be guided breath work. Nope. Just some music playing. Also all I could hear was the sound of the loud pipes from the vitamin shower right outside the room. Staring at the air vent above me that was covered in dust wasn’t too pleasant either. The Healing Waters was packed when I arrived. There were about 10 people in the hot tub with nowhere to sit. There were also no lounge chairs available. It felt more like a resort than a relaxing zen experience. It eventually cleared out, but it left a lot to be desired. Although the massage was great, I won’t return. There are other places to get a good massage for less money.
