Hunter is terrible. Didn't show up for my scheduled appointment. No one seemed to care. This was this past June 2023. They even questioned me like did I get the appointment wrong. Kinda hard to miss your appointment when they send both you and the stylist reminders through the appointment app.

My first time at Ivy Mae was really good. Rosa was very patient with the a-line undercut style I wanted and she did an awesome job! I’ll definitely be booking another appointment 😊👍🏽

Lindsey is amazing! Did the best haircut for my long hair, and actually listened to me. She took her time, and I could tell she takes her job seriously. She is a very skilled and talented hairstylist! Never going to anyone else!

The ladies at The Ivy Mae NEVER miss!! I was seeing a hairstylist in Ojai and she never listened and did what she wanted to my hair. I haven't had a haircut I liked in years until coming here! My go-to cut is a very short, layered a-line bob and my stylist Lindsey always has me leaving with the biggest smile! She gave me my confidence back; I never tie my hair up or wear hats now. My mum also sees Brie for her short, color treated curly hair. She too was seeing my old dresser and her cut was just never flattering. The atmosphere, the ladies, the owners little dog?? All so lovely and worth the drive into Ventura! So so glad we finally found stylists we love.

Wow! Ok, it started with a little glitch. I booked online and there was a glitch so I couldn't get in. BUT! They were so helpful in getting me in asap and I'm really glad because I was about to cross them off my list. SO glad I didn't. Got in to see Sam. And she was amazing. She really cared about my hair health. We talked about the water here in Ventura and how it can hurt the hair. And I know that to be true. (If it's eating my pipes imagine what it's doing to my hair!) She was so sweet. Offered me a drink. And gave me an amazing cut. Didn't over talk me, but visited and she has a good sense of humor. She didn't try to get me to buy anything. But the price of the cut was so good, I Wanted to buy stuff. Plus everything smells so good! I will be going back soon to buy some shampoo and conditioner. And this is my only go to hair place now. From customer service, to products, to Sam and the others...THIS is the place to go for a great cut and wonderful treatment. Thank you!!!

With my grey roots nearly 6 inches long and my bangs impeding my vision, I sought out a salon. The first name that stood out on my Google search was Ivy Mae. Loved the name and the location, as I could walk there from my place in under 5 minutes. I remembered driving by the place a bazillion times. The building itself has a clean bright presence on E Main. I got there a trifle early; the front door is not right on Main St, rather you enter Ivy Mae's little courtyard/ waiting are furnished with chairs. I'd been sitting for a minute, at the most, when (the owner?) came out to greet me and assure me that my stylist, Lindsey, would be right with me. Lindsey came to get me and as I walked in, I was impressed by their list of Public Health directed Covid rules for their shop. I was also impressed by the cottagy/semi industrial vibe ( heavy on the cottagy). The air circulation felt right and clients were spaced appropriately. Everyone was masked up. I felt very safe and looked forward to my touch up and trim. Lindsey is a consummate professional; I told her what I wanted and I got it! I felt pampered and special and happier than when I walked in. The price is beyond reasonable. I'm so glad I loved the name. I'll be back.

I had a color and cut today by Angie and I could not have been more pleased. Not only was she warm and personable, she was very professional and so careful to make sure she understood my requests and my needs were met. I was WELL overdue for a proper styling and Angie exceeded my expectations! She also provided helpful hair care tips and walked me through all of the yummy smelling products she was using. I like the line they use a lot (Davines), so will be back once my current products run out. The salon overall is beautiful, impeccably clean and bright. A super nice vibe overall and I’m so glad I gave them a try. Also, I was able to book the same week I called — another salon I had previously gone to had a 6-8 week wait time (!!). Thank you again Angie and The Ivy Mae!

I have to start this with saying that my hair is my security blanket. When I feel confident, it is because my hair looks amazing. And my hair only looks amazing when Nicole works her magic. Nicole has been doing my hair for 5 years and even though I have moved away from Ventura, I still gladly travel back for her to do my hair. (And have already decided she will be doing my hair for my wedding...even though I am no where near getting married). I have had some unfortunate hair cuts and colors in my life, and there is nothing Nicole can't fix. She is honest, communicates well, and works extra hard to make each and every one of her clients feel special and beautiful. Not only is she amazing at what she does, but Nicole has just opened this new salon in Ventura (with prime parking I might add), and all of the stylists are welcoming, professional, and incredible at what they do. Whether you need a quick cut, a new color, or longer extensions (and a confidence boost), The Ivy Mae is the place for you. I will forever rave about this place and their stylists, and I could not be happier about my hair. I never ever write reviews, but I really feel the need to tell everyone about this salon. I now cry tears of joy when I leave this salon, instead of other places where I have called my mom as soon as I get in the car, crying of sadness and regret (true story). Call and make an appointment...you won't be disappointed. You'll be so happy that you won't be able to resist posting a selfie with your new, beautiful hair!!
