The prices are great and the stylists are great. My mom was there today and unfortunately the water pressure is terrible. They could not give her a decent shampoo because of it. This has been an ongoing problem for this location. The owner really needs to correct this situation for the clients.

I always enjoy coming to Golden Razor for my colour and style—my stylist does an amazing job every time! However, I do have some concerns about the salon itself. The water pressure in the wash bowls is very low, requiring my stylist to press the hose against my scalp just to rinse properly. Additionally, the garbage and recycling bins are often full and have an unpleasant smell. Addressing these issues would make the overall experience even better.

I'm honestly so upset I have been going here for years and never had any complaints about this salon ! Today I walked in with hair below my waist line and I asked for 3 inches just to cut off the dead ends and the girl took off almost 6 inches off my hair, my hair is so short know and all different lengths not what I wanted! It takes a long time to grow back your hair and I love long hair I'm not sure why she would cut that much when they should be listening to what the customer wants. This has honestly ruined my night! I'm requesting for the owner to contact me !

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! This is my first time leaving a Google review, which should say a lot about how AWFUL this place is. I walked in with beautiful, long hair that went past my waist and walked out with a SHORT UGLY mess barely grazing my shoulders—something I NEVER wanted. I specifically asked for long layers and even showed the stylist EXACTLY how much to cut. We agreed on cutting just a bit more than what I asked for, but apparently, she couldn’t even follow that simple instruction. She cut a piece and showed me that was around 4 inches, and I said it was fine. But what she actually did was far worse. she kept on cutting and cutting, i didn’t even realize while i was sitting in the chair. I have textured hair, which I TOLD her upfront, and anyone with half a brain knows that textured hair shrinks when it dries. Yet she cut way too much even when it was wet! When I went to the bathroom and saw what she had done, I was devastated. I couldn’t even bring myself to say anything to the stylist right away because I was in complete shock. And to make matters worse, she didn’t even style it properly after hacking away at it. When I got home and really saw what she had done, it was WAY shorter than what I agreed to. She just kept cutting and cutting, like she was trying to make me BALD. My hair is RUINED. It’s ugly, short, and totally unmanageable now. If she didn’t know how to work with textured hair or understand basic measurements, she had no business touching my hair in the first place. If I could, I’d ask for my hair back, but at the very least, I want a FULL REFUND. This was a disgusting, unprofessional experience, and I will NEVER be returning.

I have been going here for a year to get white blonde highlights, ok great that’s the only reason I’m giving 2 stars. Now, this past weekend I wanted to switch it up and go from white blonde to a LIGHT GOLDEN BLONDE (shouldn’t be that hard?!?) I ended up with BROWN HAIR WITH BRASSY ROOTS!! I kept saying over and over I do not want anything dark, please not dark and wouldn’t you know it I ended up with dark awful hair. When I seen it for the first time my heart sunk. My hair was ruined. So, as she was saying it was MY FAULT, another stylist came and suggested a bleach bath to “lighten it.” Multiple times she was saying it was my fault to the stylists and that this is what I wanted. Pretty sure light golden blonde isn’t BROWN WITH BRASSY NEON ROOTS. Anyways, I still had to pay $100 for an awful awful experience which is disgusting that I even had to pay for it at all considering it wasn’t anywhere near what I wanted, my hair was absolutely ruined. Luckily, I found a different salon open the next day and she actually knows what she’s doing and was able to fix it because I never would have went it public with that hair. NEVER coming back to the Golden Razor again. Think twice before coming here. EDIT: Emailed “info@goldenrazor.ca“ immediately after their response to my review and NEVER GOT AN A EMAIL BACK! Do better.

I know people will go to places such as golden razor for last minute stuff but theres also ppl who have their stylist there and make appointments. I went 2 yesrs ago with box dye and Yvonne did an amazing job leveling my color on top of highlights... then I decided to go elsewhere when I needed my hair done again and lets just say 2 years later I ended up back to Yvonne because shes amazing... shes give the most amazing cuts and has a gift for cutting!! Her coloring skills as well are amazing too. I had super light ends and dark roots... it looks ridiculous but Yvonne listened to what I was wanting to achieve and was able to bring me back to a great color, evened out, kept my hair healthy and the cut at end is my Favvvv part! Ive been getting my hair done for 20 yrs and Ive never experienced a cut where its just so perfect and so many options to style. I learned my lesson by straying to a diff stylist and will forever stick to going to her until shes no longer doing hair!! Totally recommend her 👌 very friendly, professional and great stylist! Thanks for the amazing service and bringing my hair back to a beautifullllll stage!

I’ve been going to Carly weekly for almost a year now and couldn’t be happier with the service! No matter what style or hair colour I want to try, she’s always able to accomplish my vision. She provides great insight and introduces ideas I might like, always goes above and beyond finding inspo references, and is quick to respond for bookings. She’s a joy to chat with during our appointments and is always so friendly (even when I come in with spontaneously boxed dyed hair lol). I would highly recommend the Golden Razor, and especially Carly for any hair needs!

The man who did my hair wash and hair straightening was pulling my hair all the time and i felt burning may scalp. My hair is below my hip length, when he started the service onwards he is annoying me and telling cut your hair up to shoulder length. It was my really bad experience

It’s hard to find someone you can trust with your hair, but Laura made me feel so comfortable today and did an amazing job with my haircut. I couldn’t be happier with the results.

I went to get a haircut and being a person with long hair i was feeling scared but to be honest it was totally worth it. Trisha was my hairdresser and she did such an amazing job on haircut and also budget friendly. Will totally recommend it.

Booked an appointment for both of my kids to get their haircut at the same time only to get to their appointment and be told that something came up, the person had more clients than she allotted time for so now my one kid's appointment was pushed back . No notice given ahead of time...what is the point of booking an appointment? Did not appreciate waiting double the amount of time for their screw up and won't be back. There is a reason people book appointments and it's common courtesy to call and reschedule or cancel if needed. Smarten up. Edited: In response to your response, I am one customer who did not feel unique or prioritized and do feel this is an avoidable situation by staffing properly to accommodate your scheduled appointments or at the very least have the common courtesy of advising clients their appointment will be pushed ahead of time. You can save your excuses, as I've said you've lost a client, it's not your first and I'm sure it won't be your last with the poor customer service provided.

I used to quite like the location in Devonshire Mall for basic, last minute appointments. The Tecumseh mall locator is terrible. Worst customer service I’ve experienced, and I have no confidence I would have gotten a decent blowout. Also, lied to me about pricing. Don’t go here.

I walked in to Golden Razor on Sunday around 4pm to see if I could get a haircut . I feel so lucky that Laura could take me. I haven’t been to golden razor in years but decided to come here because my hair was severely dry. I suffer from anxiety but Laura was extremely friendly and easy to talk to. I also suffer from depression so I unfortunately haven’t looked after my hair very well and had a bad knot in my hair, but she was so kind . I absolutely love the shaggy mullet she gave me, I’m very happy with it . I just appreciate her so much! I will definitely be seeing Laura again! Thank you so much .

We took my 3 year old here today, didn't get a chance to get the hair stylist's name, but she did amazing cutting my sons hair even though he was moving around alot. The stylist was very bubbly and has a very good personality! :) Thank you for making him look even cuter ! <3

I’m only 25 years old I literally have never left a bad google review I am not a karen but my experience with Golden Razor over the phone was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I called them with a simple inquiry about the color I had previously dyed my hair, hoping to avoid repeating the same unsatisfying result. However, the lady on the phone treated this information as if it were some sort of confidential medical record, rather than a simple client history. It felt like she was being overly secretive and defensive, which made me question their professionalism. As a client, I believe I have the right to access information about my own hair treatments. The fact that they were so hesitant to provide me with this basic information was so weird and off putting. I was a regular client there it was the only place i did my hair, but after this experience, I am now deterred from ever returning to their salon. It was a second-hand embarrassment to witness such stingy behavior from a business that should prioritize customer satisfaction and transparency, I wasn’t even going to go elsewhere lol. AND even if you are scared your clients take “their information” and go else where….. how are u that desperate to keep clients, so catty and high school girl behaviour…. you’re grown women…

Yvonne has been doing mine and my sisters hair for years now. She’s super friendly personable and always remembers all the things I tell her about me and my life for the next visits lol the icing on the cake are the prices here. They are very reasonable in a very unreasonable world!
