Lacinda resuscitated my curls with a cut and style, providing the shape and lift my hair needed. Most importantly, she spent the entire session demonstrating and teaching me everything I needed to know about MY curls and how best to maintain my look for weeks to come. She didn’t try to sell me any products, and she even gave me samples to try at home. Best of all she let me know she’s a resource for me should I need her. 10/10!

I brought my two girls in here recently and we had a great experience. Lacindra is awesome! She is so kind and takes the time to walk through the cut and reassures that she is there for the long haul in case we need to come back to have anything fixed. She does great work and it is a beautiful salon!

I am IN LOVE with my new hair. This is the best curly cut I have gotten. She sat down with me and discussed what I have been doing, what maintenance I'm willing to do in the future and built a routine around that. I had never heard of a hair gloss service either but I am in love with the results. They took the extra time to sit with me and choose the right additional color to add. My curls are holding fabulously 3 days later. I am so excited and will tell all my friends to check this place out. Thank you!!

I’ve gotten my hair done by Star a few times now, and she is just amazing!! My hair has never looked & felt better. The salon is beautiful, and all of the staff members are so friendly! I couldn’t recommend Star and The Curl Lab enough!

As soon as you walk into the salon you know you’re going to leave satisfied. Every hair stylist that was in shop was so sweet and looked like they really listened to the customer. Today I had a curly cut with Jayleen Hayden! She is sooo amazing and outgoing. She really listened to what I wanted for my hair and gave me so many new tricks to deal with my curly hair. I’ve been to quite a few different places to cut my hair but I WILL be going back again. It’s so hard to find a hair salon that makes you feel comfortable and confident but The Curl Lab did that and 100 other things!! I highly recommend checking this place out, they won’t do you wrong!!

This place and their people are Magic! I had an appointment with Lacindra for first time and she took so much time to explain me how to take care of my hair and how to style it. One of my favorite thing is that she make sure to understand how I want it to look like and personalize the session based on what I wanted/needed. I feel you don’t get that much of attention in other places. I will 100% recommend this place

I can't express enough love and gratitude for Miss Snow @thcurllab, and her extensive knowledge of hair health and long-term care. I can't believe it took me so long to get to her. If I could give 10✨️ I would. 😭🙏🏽 I came to Miss Snow from desperation and just experienced a very traumatic experience with a prior hair dresser, in which they damaged over 85% of my hair. I lost over 27 inches of hair in this incident with the previous dresser 😭 Upon balling my eyes out, while my hair was falling to the ground inch by inch; my heart screamed, "Get a hold of Tricia Snow!" Miss Snow immediately responded. Upon arriving to her, not only did she hold space for what I was currently going through with the loss, but her knowledge on how to bring it back overflowed my heart and gave me hope. She immediately treated my hair, gave it the most beautiful clean up and informed me on how to keep it going. It's growing faster I feel than it ever has before. It feels alive again! I can feel it coming back, and with no damage. And the curl? I had curly hair? I never knew my hair had such a twist to it. It's always felt very flat, dry? Straight/ low-key wavy. But CURLY? I neva! 🤣 It's amazing to see such awaken in my hair. It feels lighter, healthier, and more alive than ever before. I'm never going back, I hope to keep her forever. 💯 This is Miss Luna. I went in after getting a horrible haircut from someone who lied and said they knew how to do curly hair. I came in to see Jayleen and she did an amazing job fixing it! I've never had such a good haircut! She is my new go to and will be suggesting her to all my curly hair friends!

I went in to this salon for my very first curly cut, and a root touch up with the co-owner, Lacindra. Sadly, I left with VERY short hair, an uneven cut and darker than discussed. My goal is to grow my hair long, and we went the complete opposite way. I spent a majority of the session crying due to being unhappy with what was happening, and completely at a loss of words, paying & leaving in tears. I even communicated after the session directly with Lacindra that I have spent the majority of the day sobbing over the loss of my hair & confidence with no offer to remedy the situation. The only advice / offer I was given was “wash it and the color will come out”, with no guidance on how to manage the cut. Edit: they also blocked me on social media to an avoid honest review. Final Edit to Response: While I appreciate your attempt to address the situation, I must express my disappointment in your characterization of events and your response. My decision to leave a review was not made lightly. The distress I experienced during and after my appointment was genuine and was a result of feeling unheard and dissatisfied with the service provided. The haircut was shorter than I anticipated, contrary to my goal of growing my hair out, and the color was darker than discussed. These were key points I highlighted in my review. What prompted my review was the lack of empathy and accountability demonstrated in the aftermath. Instead of understanding my dissatisfaction and addressing it with an apology, your response included an attempt to discredit my experience and even questioned my mental state publicly. This is both unprofessional and unacceptable. I trusted your professional guidance and expertise during our discussion. The outcome was not what we discussed, and that was upsetting. In a service-oriented industry, empathy and effective communication are crucial. I left your salon feeling upset and disappointed, which is why I felt compelled to share my experience honestly. Your response has only reinforced my feelings of being dismissed and disrespected as a customer. I urge you to reconsider how you respond to customer feedback. It's essential to listen to your clients with empathy and to address their concerns constructively, rather than resorting to questioning their mental state publicly. This approach not only damages your reputation but also undermines the trust between a business and its customers. Also, your offer of a refund contingent on removing my review was concerning.

I’m honestly sick and tired of going to hair salons and shelling out $100 just to leave looking the same. I chose this place because they advertise that they specialize in curly/wavy hair. I have extremely dense frizzy hair that I can’t seem to get to curl the way I’d like. I came her for a haircut (curly haircut is what they call it) wanting to add layers and bangs to hopefully get my hair to curl better. I also wanted advice on products and application techniques to see where I was going wrong. The stylist I had was very nice and she spoke as if she understood what I was looking for. I showed her a picture/video of what I was wanting (lots of face framing layers, short curtain bangs). She trimmed my layers a little, didn’t touch my bangs, and the “curls” she gave me fell out before I even got home. I’ve been able to style my curls better and I don’t have salon end products. She charged me $100 for the cut and “style” and told me that she guarantees her haircuts for 2 weeks. I texted her once I was able to get home and mess around with the style about coming in and fixing my bangs and I’ve been left on delivered. The only reason I’m not giving 1 star is because the wash/head massage was great and very relaxing and the salon looks very clean and professional. Will I go back? No. $100 for a haircut is asinine and I was only originally willing to pay that much because I thought they were experts.

I feel bad about leaving a bad review since the girl was so sweet and just finished hair school. I gave her a 20% tip just because of how sweet and helpful she was. And I've thought about if I should leave a review or not (this may be my first review ever) Now: for the issue: I wanted a bare minimum trim and simple evening out on the bottom. I stated this multiple times and gave a clear outline of where I would be okay with my hair ending up. I put all my trust in her since I had my eyes on this place for a while and saw nothing but positive reviews about this salon and the stylist in training. The first moment I noticed something was off was how long the trim was taking, it took an hour and a half of just cutting; I brushed it off because again, she was in training. The second sign was after she washed my hair, I thought "maybe my hair is just short because it's wet". Oh boy was I wrong. I really didn't think anything was wrong even on the way home. It was the second I looked in the mirror at home that I realized, how much of my hair was lost. I will give a little praise, my hair is so healthy and the products & techniques she recommended have CHANGED my hair. My disappointment is in the length and I have like 12 different lengths going on throughout my hair, but I can't go get it evened out or else I will lose more of my beautiful curls. I normally don't care about a bad haircut, hair grows, I wanted to donated my hair to locks of love at the end of this year; my curls were finally getting long enough to donate the 10 inch's and leave me with about as much hair as I have now. Disappointed but what can you do.

I had my hair done with Alisia several months ago. It was a great experience and I liked her a lot. I made an appt for 4 months later, and forgot. 4 months is a long time. I figured I’d receive a reminder. I got a reminder today at 2:09, for an appt tomorrow. This was 9 min AFTER the window to cancel and was charged $45! Totally wiped away my great experience. I can’t help but believe the reminder was sent purposely too late

I called Lacindra Allen (salon owner + curl specialist) at The Curl Lab after suspecting that I had wavy hair. I explained that I was interested in trying the “curly method” on my hair to see what would happen. She invited me to the salon for a free consultation where she looked at my curl pattern/textures and assured me that I would have some wavy. She was patient and warm throughout the entire experience. We booked an appointment for me to come back for the full method and sure enough, WAVES! Lacindra and all the stylist were so encouraging and took their time to educate their clients on how to take care of their hair. I’m really grateful for the hour and a half Lacindra spent taking care of my hair, answering all my questions, and helping me take notes for me to recreate the process at home. One piece of feedback would be to consider calling ahead to ensure they are running on schedule because my appointment started about 25 mins late. They were quick to offer me a drink and apologize, but could be worth checking. Also, I wished their products were stocked for me to take home. I left without buying the shampoo, conditioner, gel, or hairspray that they used. They let me know their shipment is coming in a few days, but I was eager to buy them. Overall, I was an incredibly warm and welcoming experience. I will definitely be back for my cut, color, and wave refresh. I highly recommend coming to The Curl Lab if you suspect that you have curly/wavy hair too!

Lacindra cut my hair and showed me how to manage my hair type. Normally, the waves/curls in my hair either don’t form at all or flatten out very quickly. Left is before and right is after. Hair feels very soft and healthy now, instead of tangled and dry.

This was my first time getting a curly cut and Lacindra is amazing! Soo nice and so informative! She really cares about curly hair and is super knowledgeable in it! The process was a little long but just because they are training other stylists. The studio is very open and inviting and everyone was super nice! Worth it for the money and would definitely go back!

Beautiful studio! Brought my teenage daughter for a curly cut with Lacindra. Lacindra taught her how to bring our her curls and she has had the best curls ever since the lesson. It’s the best cut she has ever had. After a few days of wearing her curls, they loosen and the cut still looks great with softer curls. We tell lots of curly hair girls to get their haircut here.
