From Devastation to Gaslighting: My Experience at Colour Chemistry Salon What should have been a simple, temporary gloss turned into a permanent neon orange nightmare. Here’s why I’ll never return: Permanent Dye Instead of a Gloss: Jennifer Vasquez, the owner, suggested adding "a drop of gold" to warm my grey hair. Instead, she applied permanent orange dye. The color has never faded. Irreversible Damage: After losing my hair to illness, I spent two years growing it out naturally. Her mistake forced me to cut it into a pixie and start over—a deeply personal and painful setback. Dismissive and Unprofessional Responses: When I raised concerns, she dismissed them with excuses like, “I can’t guarantee how long a gloss lasts,” and refused to take responsibility. Refusal to Cover Costly Corrections: Despite causing the issue, she refused to reimburse me for the expensive treatments I needed to undo her mistake. The Bottom Line: This experience was devastating, emotionally and physically. Jennifer Vasquez’s carelessness and lack of accountability caused irreparable damage. Avoid this salon—it’s not worth the risk.

Also, my daughter had a consultation and hair treatment with Jennifer who's an amazingly great listener and educator for the youth, a simple yet effective routine for specifically curly hair with amazing European based products! Jennifer Vásquez was my stylist. She is super sweet and fun, fabulous with giving hair texture and fantastic with layers! She is very detailed, and shares what she is doing to the hair so you know what to expect of your new cut and style. She also shares how to style and dry hair at home. Will definitely be coming back. I asked for lots of layers, texture and showed her images of what I was looking for as an example. The staff at The Colour Chemistry, was also welcoming and the girl that washed my hair gave me a massage and applied cuts come with hair treatment included which the person that washes your hair applies.

I have been coming to the Colour Chemistry for all my hair needs for as long as they have been in business. I won’t go anywhere else! Every time I leave here I absolutely love the results. I can’t get enough of the products and the atmosphere is amazing. There’s a long list of talent and experience in this place, but Jennifer V. is simply amazing. A true hair artist and I just wouldn’t let anyone else touch my hair 🩷😄 Come see them for beautiful hair!

I’d been doing my hair with Jenny for almost 4 years and I simply adore her. The salon has such a cool vibe. I think one of the reasons I like to come to the studio is to unplugged from the life routine. I like to colored my hair with different colors and styles and I feel so secure to tell Jenny what I like cause she suggest what is best for my hair. It’s hard to find someone that understands your needs and really be honest about the things you can really do with your hair without breaking or ruin your it. This salon is high recommended 👍🏻💜

I recently came to see Jennifer Herrera for the first time. I was so happy with how my hair turned out I was in awe! Jennifer is a gifted stylist, she is experienced, patient, and will address all of your hair concerns. I was so amazed at how beautiful my highlights turned out. Being that it was my first time getting my hair done with her, I was a bit nervous but Jennifer was very warm and welcoming and allowed me to express all of my concerns. She really made my day when I saw the final results! I will definitely be recommending Jennifer to all my blondes!

I had a great experience here! I first scheduled a consultation with Mayra where we talked about my hair routine and how I wanted it colored. She gave me a couple of options with different price points to achieve what I wanted, which I really appreciated. During my styling appointment, I felt that she really took care to not damage my hair, which was extremely important to me. My hair took a really long time to complete, and I never got the feeling that she was rushing to get it done. Isabel, the shop protégé, jumped in to help in between her client, which I thought was awesome. I felt very comfortable with the atmosphere of the salon, and will be returning the next time I need my hair done!

Had a wonderful time at this salon my hair came out amazing, and I left very pleased. Jennifer is so nice and a great hairstylist, and her many years of experience definitely shines through! I followed Jennifer Herrera from another location and am SOOO glad I did! This salon is roomy and comfortable. I regularly get my roots colored and highlights and I love how Jennifer cuts, styles and colors my hair. I'm well into my 50's, with shoulder length hair, but have seen her work with younger and older clients alike. She's great with everyone she sees! Paid 140.00 plus a good tip only to have a patch of hair near the Hairline not colored. At this point I just want a partial refund. I'll never go back. They lost what would have been a loyal customer.
