I have never felt so good about my hair until I started seeing Sasha. She educates me on hair care when I’m not in her chair. My hair has grown exponentially since starting with her. I’m just in a good place with my hair stylist bc iykyk!!!!

Sasha is the absolute best colorist. She has been coloring my locs for 3+ years now. Every single time, she delivers a result that I love. I never have any issues with my hair or experience breakage. Even when the color starts to fade, it still looks great and I get compliments DAILY. I also want to mention the very first time I came to her, she fixed a horrible dye job I had done somewhere else.

The sorcery Sasha's hands put on my dried and unhappy tresses had me smiling into my arch nemesis (the mirror)!! Friendly, knowledgeable, and the best all-around colorist I've had the pleasure of meeting. She respected my hair and life where it is at this moment, no pressure to do things that will create more damage. She is all about health and knowledge!! LOVE IT!! Grateful to start this journey with Sasha --- 10/10 Recommend!!

My 1st experience went great. I got a consultation on my hair because I'm ready to color my hair once again but the correct way. Sasha was friendly and down to earth. Very professional and nice atmosphere. Can't wait to book my appointment. I will be back.

Its one thing to have a great experience during your appointment but what I really appreciate is the education Sasha poured into me! While doing my home haircare routine, I can hear her voice guiding me. She truly cares about the health of your hair which helps to support having pride in my natural hair. So glad we crossed paths! This is an amazing business for when you are ready to invest in yourself.

My hair is so Beautiful, after not being treated or cared for properly for the last 5 years. Sasha treated my hair, scalp and my emotional inside. She also talked to me about the proper care for my hair and answered any questions I had. She also offered also aftre care services as well. Thank you Sasha!

The color and Curl Co-lab is a top notch business. If I could give 10 stars I would. Sasha, is so professional, very patient with clients like me and very responsive to all my million questions and concerns. lol 😂 I had my color consult on yesterday and was very impressed with her salon suite. She gave me explanation of the color process, what I needed to do to prep my hair, and what I would need to except after the hair color. We looked at many colors combinations and she helped me design my custom color that will suit me. I am so excited for my upcoming hair color appointment, my new look, and new hair regimen to maintain it. Thanks Sasha. You’re the best. Tracy Brewer

It's been 2 months since my last appointment. I was basking in all my curls glory. So, this review WILL be long but you'll thank me later: I'm not naturally gregarious, however meeting Sasha made me feel so comfortable; at home. She is warm and amiable. Super knowledgeable about hair and does not have a myopic view about hair care. She walked me through each step. Explained everything. Detangle my hair in 3 minutes (she actually timed it lol) and it was PAIN FREE!!!!! I'm not tender headed so pain don't phase me, lol. So I was astonish that I felt NOTHING! Got my silk press, she explain what to expect. Got home, silk press was SILKING FOR 12 DAYS STRAIGHT!!!!! All I did was add rollers, maybe on day 6. Wash my hair and curls look like they should be in Louis Vuitton fashion show. My curls was on a next level! Bouncy, strong and full of life! My husband said "This the best your curls have ever looked". And he is right. Now, I'm trying to grow back my hair (if you read the rest of my review, you'll understand why). Sasha is the real deal. I've been following IAmBlackGirlCurls on Instagram for 4 years. So I know about healthy hair care. I feel safe with Sasha. As a black woman, you know what I mean. Do not go to ANY ONE ELSE! I am not going to call their salon names, but trust me! If you value your time, money and hair, book with Sasha. She books up fast too, smh. So I'm waiting till her books open again and I'll be on it! (Now you get to read why I say book with ONLY Sasha.) There are a few Curl Stylist in Raleigh. Before I met Sasha, I went to another salon that specialize in curls. HORRENDOUS, I'll repeat it again, HORRENDOUS experience. 1) Stylist arrived 20 minutes late. 2) When she finally arrive and told me I can come upstairs in the salon, she was on her phone and did not look at me for 25 minutes while she questioned me on my hair care routine. 3) I'm an introvert, so this made me nervous and self conscious. 4) SMH, when she started detangling my hair, she STARTED at the roots! Yes, you read that correctly. Now, I wash and detangle my hair the night before. (She even went viral in a bad way for another client posting how she was ripping through her hair). She had a ball of hair, the size of a grapefruit in the sink after she finished. She saw the scared look on my face and said "Yea, I know you said you detangle last night BUT that happens when you detangle your hair properly" 5) Now as she is doing the smoothing of the product in my hair (wash & go) a client walks in and she says "Great, just in time. Come over here and let's practice your setting of hair". I'm like "Ummm" and the client walks over and the Stylist let the client play in my hair. I froze. Literally. No words came out. This lasted 4 minutes. 6) I'm under the dryer and it's good. Curls came out great. However it last 5 hot minute. I walked from inside of her salon to the car and my hair look like it was 4 days since I last did my hair. 7) This cost $300. This was NOT a one-on-one session. Not including the tip or the SURPRISE charge of $40 for booking before 8am. I booked AT 8am. So, based on the information in the email she sent me, I shouldn't be charged that early fee. Literally was walking out the door and she said "Oh yeah, you owe me $40 for booking early". I had to scramble to find that cash because I already prepaid via card and left my purse in the car. 8) She message me the day after and ask about my hair and I was honest. She stated she can re-do using different products, cause you know my hair is dehydrated. BUT I had to participate in her shoot. I did not want to do so, which means, she won't do over my hair. 9) Gave myself a tapered cut 3 months later from the damage she did. Now I still have broken strands of hair from the roots. My hair was shoulder length. I'm now at ear length. I have pictures. My hair was ruin from that ONE appointment. *****I HAVE pictures as proof for all of this.

Great experience! Sasha knows her stuff and talked me through every step of the process. I was nervous going in because I'd never had short hair or had my hair colored, but Sasha put me at ease. I love my new hair and I've gotten so many compliments! I went from long black Sisterlocks to a short copper curly crop. It was a true metamorphosis.

I cannot say enough great things about this salon! Sasha is truly a curl and color expert. She provides excellent customer service explaining ahead of time the steps she will take and reasons for each step. I especially appreciated her punctuality, mildness and kindness during the appointment. Sasha answered all of my hair questions and never made me feel rushed. She was genuinely interested in making sure I was satisfied with the final result. I love my color and the curl set. I highly recommend The Color & Curl Co-Lab!

I flew ALL the way from Chicago for Sasha to color my hair. My results were above and beyond anything that I could imagine. She made sure that I was comfortable with the color choices I made. She took the time to get to know what I liked and added some flare to "Jazz it up!" for me. We mapped out a plan that would work for my schedule. She also gave me an aftercare plan that will help me retain the vibrance of my color on my own. Her color is beyond measure and I have yet to see anyone do what she offers for tight curls. Sasha is an amazingly talented stylist and colorist. In the past, I’ve been apprehensive about coloring my hair. Sasha has alleviated all of those fears with her techniques, knowledge and high quality products that she uses on my strands. The Color and Curl Co-Lab, is an experience, a safe space that busy women can come to and feel good and leave looking good. Not only is Sasha a talented stylist, she is also a creator that has curated a space that feels luxurious, happy & peaceful. Prior to discovering Sasha (thanks to a very special girl friend of mine)-- I could not trust anyone to take my short dark brunette hair to summertime blonde, while maintaining the curl pattern and health of my hair..... BUT NOW.... I have the color I want, my curls are healthy and my hair is long! Sasha is a color wizard (she makes magic happen and a scientist at heart), she is dedicated to hair healthy and integrity --- and is very honest. And will give you guidance on what products /techniques are best for you. One anecdote: I will never forget, an appointment in which Sasha worked way past salon hours, to do a full color, cut & curl-style... and while I was over-the-moon thrilled with the results, she asked me to come back and tone the color because it was not exactly like the INSPO photo I shared. The level of dedication, commitment to results and perfection -- lets me know I will always leave her chair happy.

I will tell anyone who asks Ms. Sasha saved my hair! She has taught me how to style my tight 4C curls so that I feel beautiful even on my bad hair days. Understanding my busy schedule , she helps me plan when my hair should be out versus in protective styles. And once my hair was healthy enough, we colored it! I’m in love with my hair. I encourage anyone , whether new to the natural trend or a for lifer like me, to go to Tamed Tresses for lessons or a style!

I've been rocking with this stylist since before she had a place to officially do hair. She taught me how to care properly for my hair when I transitioned to natural & when I was fed up wanting to go back to perms. She gave me a healthy treatment so I could move from curls to straight hair & keep it natural. When I was scared to do color, she pushed me out of my comfort zone and made me a believer in taking risks. Always recommends great products for up keep b/t salon visits. She doesn't just DO HAIR...she cares for it...and for you in the process. Highly recommend.

Sasha patiently showed me techniques on how to more effectively apply products to my hair. She's extremely knowledgeable on best products for natural hair. I left the shop wearing one of the best W'nG's I've had in a long time. I am looking forward to establishing a long relationship with Sasha, despite having to travel more than an hour to get to her shop. The icing on the cake for me w/Sasha was when I did a W'nG style while traveling out of the country, I texted her for advice on my hair and she promptly texted me right back!! That's CUSTOMER SERVICE and care for your clients!!
