Best first haircut ever! My 5 year old granddaughter went to Caitlin for her first haircut and she was absolutely spoiled. Caitlin took time to give her a dry cut, washed and conditioned her hair and then another cut and style. Caitlin took so much time with her, she walked out feeling special and excited about her awesome curly hair. Thank you so much for a such amazing experience! We definitely won’t be going to anyone else and her mother will be coming back for herself.

Disappointed with the cut. I had shoulder length curly hair and wanted a clean up/shaping of the layers and cut a little off the back. The layers were cut short, choppy with longer length in the back which caused gaps in areas. I left and decided to give it a few days. I went back and another stylist listened to my concerns and did her best to blend it. Unfortunately my hair is much shorter (1.5-2 inches) now and has a few gaps in the back, the stylist stated “it will have to grow out to fix”. I appreciate her time and it does blend a bit better. The original stylist was juggling multiple clients and seemed rushed. It was also a lot about their products, hair brushes and less about listening and understanding my hair. (+) the stylist was warm and friendly and taught the curly process. Unfortunately the cut fell short. *For reference an initial curly cut starts out at $120+.

Aubrey helped us out-of-towners in an emergency situation, last minute haircut was needed before a wedding. She brought my son back immediately, took her time and did a great job.

Tamara is literally the best! My teenage daughter was very happy with her hair cut so I made an appointment for myself. Tamara literally gave me the best hair cut and style I have ever had in my life no lie! I even woke up with it looking great. She definitely worked her magic and with only one styling product. She even explained everything she did so I could do it at home. 😊 feeling very lucky to have found this salon!

I’ve been here three times. The first two times I saw the owner and her haircut was fine but she seemed busy and distracted the whole time since she has so many responsibilities. This last time I went to see Liz Heppe for a partial highlight and cut. I asked for natural blended baby lights and a caramel color close to my natural tone. I showed a few reference pictures. I warned her that my hair lifts quickly, and I do not want to be blonde. I haven’t had my hair colored in a few years and I just wanted to camouflage the grays. I ended up with bright blonde, super chunky highlights that are very obvious and very bleach damaged. I came back in and she tried to tone it a little darker, but the chunky nature is still obvious. She started the highlights so far off my scalp it looks grown out, and she didnt even cover the grays I pointed out wanting to cover. It was an expensive service, but I am most unhappy with the damage to my delicate curls. I have spent years trying to get my hair healthy and now I have to grow out these bleach damaged pieces that are directly next to my face. I will be driving back to Davis to my previous stylist who had no issue giving me natural highlights with bleach and zero damage.

Let me just say this place is AMAZING!! I had searched for a place that specialized in curly hair for my 14yr old daughter who has very long thick curly hair and we just couldn't find anyone in our area that knew really anything about curls or how to manage/care for until I found the classic curl salon. I sent an email and got a response the very next day from Victoria. She was super sweet and very understanding ❤️ I explained I needed help with my daughter's hair bcuz I was just at a loss on what to do with it and just a couple weeks later we had a consultation and she had recommended a few products my daughter could use and also wrote down some ways we could do her hair until her next appointment which was already so helpful. Brought my daughter back today for a dry cut, wash and style by Victoria and OMG I have never seen my daughter's curls look so beautiful and healthy! Victoria is seriously so sweet and made my daughter feel so good about her hair when she was done she actually had tears in her eyes so that was a great feeling. Price was awesome and super affordable 👌 I can't thank Victoria and the classic curl salon enough for everything she did and how happy and beautiful she made my daughter feel. We will definitely be coming back!

Great experience! I only get a haircut about once a year and I have thick 2c type curly hair. I was so excited to hear about a salon that specializes in curly girls. This time I decided to try color for the first time. I expressed my hair goals and the apprehension I get around every haircut. Emmily took GREAT care of me, was kind and fun, and not only took what I wanted completely into account but took extra steps to make sure I felt comfortable and pleased with the outcome. I left with no tears this haircut except almost tears of joy!!! I left feeling so pretty! Definitely recommend! Thanks Emmily!!!!

Highly recommend coming here if you are a wavy haired girly. Emmily was so kind and cut my hair perfectly, even taught me how to better take care of my waves with techniques and product recommendations. As someone who has always been disappointed by past hairdressers, I finally found a place that embraces my curls:)

I started getting my haircut by Aubrey about 3-4 years ago. Up until then I was taking care of my own hair and never could get it to really grow. I finally decided to trust a professional with my hair and I am so glad I found Aubrey! She is absolutely amazing! I am biracial and have 3c curly hair and it hasn't been this long since I was a kid. Even my boyfriend comes to get his hair trimmed with me now, he has closer to 4a curls and his hair looks healthier than ever. Definitely one of the best decisions I ever made. Aubrey can fix anything trust me I was a hot mess when I first came to her.

It’s so hard finding a stylist who really gets wavy hair! I was so happy to find Emmily. She did an an amazing job with my hair and explained styling and drying so I could replicate her results. I will definitely be returning.

Such a great experience! This was my first curly cut, so they went through their suggested hair care steps and concepts with me. The staff is fun and easy to talk to. They also gave me a free touch-up hair cut for a month or so after. The owner is awesome, and the shop atmosphere is comfy. I would recommend this shop to anyone with curly hair in the area.

I got a haircut in October 2020. It was the worst and most expensive haircut I’ve ever had. The appointment also took an hour longer than the time allotted. The stylist cut my hair dry, washed my hair, and trimmed it again. A lot of time and effort later I left looking like Alice from Dilbert (triangular hair). Even my father in law, who usually complements me no matter what, could only say “the good news is it’ll grow back”. The stylist did say I should let her know if I’m not happy and she’d fix it, but unfortunately I had no confidence she would make it better given another chance, and she had already taken a lot of length off, so I didn’t call back. My advice to anyone considering going here is to look at the stylist’s Instagram. If you only see photos taken from the back - be skeptical. You want to see photos from the front and sides that show off the stylist’s ability to create shape for the entire head, not just the bottom.

I have been driving an hour to see Aubrey for at least 5 years now and I would drive a lot further if I had to. She has made my curls so healthy. She even set my curls for my wedding. I especially love their focus on education. I would absolutely recommend going here for any pattern of curl.

It was cool, I have never had my hair cut dry so I suppose it's just something I am not familiar or comfortable with, that being said my hair is super curly compared to what it was but I also got a ton of layers cut into it. So far I like the cut.

This is THE best place to go if you have curls! After doing much research, I found the classic curl and made a appointment hoping for the best. I met Tamera who spent time with me to find out what I wanted and the products I used. She colored my hair and reshaped my style from the previous debacled cut job. Lacy also did a great job of addressing my curls while defusing without causing any frizz. This is the first time I've ever walked out of a salon rocking my natural curls and not my usual straight hair. I absolutely love the color Tamera chose and the cut. I feel so lucky and blessed to have found a salon that embraces and pampers my curls! The cocktails in a can during my visit made it even better. Treat yourself ladies!!

This is THE place if you have curly hair. Aubrey knows all types of curls and cuts and styles them perfectly! I even took my daughter (with super thick straight hair) and she it was the best haircut she's ever had!

Most curly salons I have looked up have a pretentious feel and have all sorts of insane requirements just to be taken on as a client, not here!! Tamara made me feel so welcome and she is so helpful. She gave me all the tools to get the most out of my curls without pressuring me into buying a bunch of expensive product, simply explained the best products to use and that they were available to me 😊. They use Innersense products that leave my hair feeling great!! If you are new to curly hair or just looking for a stylist who understands your hair, this is the salon for you!
