I am currently a student. I haven’t learned everything that I was told that I was going to be taught. This school has no organization students feel the owner doesn’t care about our wants and needs for our future success in the beauty industry this school is non inclusive. There is Issues everyday with staff and a stressful environment for students. $20,000 down the drain as a young black woman I am extremely unsatisfied with what I have witnessed and how I have been treated here.

Ornela is THE best stylist you can get,- not only she possesses the talent,- she listens AND she hears her client. Despite being a student, Ornela is a gifted professional who’s ready for a real job. P.S. Ornela’s pleasant personality is a huge plus as well.

Always when I visit Philadelphia, I make an appointment to do my hair and is been excellent experiences.Some students have strong skills in color other ones have it in drying. But overall I get out satisfied. Good job

I had an appointment with stylist Kim and recommend her…she was absolutely amazing! She was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and made sure to walk me through the entire process. I went in for a cut, wash, blowout and iron work. The price is unmatched! I LOVE my hair and will definitely be coming back!

Julia did such a great job with my partial highlights last week, that I decided to come back to her today to have the other half of my highlights done. She has Excellent clinical skills and communication skills. Julia is professional and friendly too. By the way, when she did my highlights last week, she informed me that I was her first highlight client. I would have never known because she was so clinically competent. Next time I will ask for Julia too. Instructor R is also A+. She treats the students with respect. She supervises the students continually, is readily available, and is overall very supportive. She is the kind of teacher I would like to have if I were in training. I have been coming to the Beauty Institute for over five years and I am Always very satisfied. Thank you for treating me like a Queen 👑💚👑

the teacher stephanie is rude and unhelpful, i have autism and she was not accommodating to my needs ! i’ve been here many times and have never be treated this way by any other teacher or staff , no where on the booking site of the website does it say you can’t have any company mind you other customers had company !!! i felt like she was single handily targeting me !

I’ve only been attending this school for 3 months now and so far I can say that I’ve enjoyed it. I have learned so much within such a small time frame, and bettered my skills in certain areas that I, in the past, have struggled with.

Hello, i was a student at the beauty institute here at 9902 Roosevelt Boulevard. Be mindful there’s no janitor , no nurse or director/dean( someone of authority). I started August 12th, 2024! This school is very unprofessional! Leon Christian is the man who you enroll with after you’re enrolled everything else goes downhill! My second week into the school teachers were quitting! This school lack supplies you have to run around the building on and out of different classes for products, when they are out of stock of supplies now it’s your fault if the hair isn’t done correctly. Also i was previously bullied at this school by 4 girls out of 5 girls .. in total there were 6 of us in a class. We all were friends at a point of time and when one choose she was going to stop being my friend out the blue the rest followed ! This school doesn’t take bullying serious i request for multiple meetings with staff and all of girls And nothing never happened however I’m now at the point I am expelled because of the girl’s statement. Some how some way they flipped the story and said i was doing the bullying.. how can one skinny girl (me) bully 4 grown women all bigger than me (height and weight) ???? Once again before o got kicked up i request meeting multiple times and by Ms.amanda i was told “this isn’t that type of meeting “ i don’t understand why we could do a meeting and get to the bottom of it instead the removed the victim and kept the bullies!They pick and choose students. Also the treat black People terrible! Yes i am black! The beauty Institute doesn’t teach you how to do black people hair and they do not have any posters of us up on their walls. It been plenty of time one out of the 5 girls .. Angelina have asked me about my race and ethnicity in disrespectfully ways basically harassing me. I was teaching some on to say “hello” on tsalagi and she stated i was lying, she asked to see my hair under the scarf although she seen my hair plenty of times, asked me was i listening to PR MUSIC I said it’s Jamaican music she state “ do you even understand that, what do the words even say” and more times questioning me. 1 out of 5 trinity stop talking to me because i got layers cut in my hair and she didnt do it.. they mock how i talk, my dance moves and etc! Please do not attend this school since i couldn’t save myself I’m going to save yall , i do not want any one to go through this! What i have been through starting Aug 12- Oct 9th 2024 was the worst i ever been through and treated! They are a scam, And They do not take the school seriously Also not to mention Leon smelt weed on the girls on school knowing weed is against policy he didn’t expel or suspended them but he expelled me.. a victim to bullying/ harassment ! This is actually unfair.

I am currently a student in the evening class for cosmetology I love the learning environment here when it comes to hands on my teacher Mrs.Barbie she is amazing with the students and with helping us learn new things, I gave a four star rating because there’s always room for improvement

I give this school 0 stars what the hell are we paying for when we barley have teachers is here ? The hours are always getting messed up and let’s not get on the fact our kits are garbage ! $900 for a value of $200 max if I’m being generous. They had a better shot going on Amazon and spending the $900 A WAXING KIT WITH NO WAX POT? Who’s dumb idea was that ? $7,000 on what to sit in a hot ass room and do nothing ? Honestly you’re better off spending a few more thousand and actually learn things instead of getting shown YouTube videos atp I’m graduating with YouTube university. Do better !! Update 10/10/2024 I graduated yesterday and I can say the program was not worth it at all the only helpful ones I can say were Mrs.Erin and Amanda They made sure everything was turned in correctly and throughly. My experience wasn’t the best but Mrs .Erin taught us what she could in the short amount of time which was so considerate of her . My class mates made the program go by with a breeze which I couldn’t thank them enough for but the program did not set me up for the beauty industry besides for basic facials and how to talk to clients I wouldn’t recommend this program to anyone to be completely honest . Make sure you do your research before coming . Unless you get Mrs. Erin then go lol !

If you are looking to get a service done, you’ll like your result and IF you don’t you’ll be able to workout something with a instructor where you can return to better your desired result. The school could use cosmetic upgrades and there could be more of a organized look to it but other than that , the teachers are dedicated and the students who are here are relying on you to come in, you will be appreciated very much by those you are helping by allowing them to practice. 🥰

Students are neglected, forced reviews from staff, school lacks structure, you receive inadequate education training and 85% of students don’t feel ready for field after graduation. SCHOOL IS MONEY HUNGRY AND OWNERS ACT OBLIVIOUS TO WHAT GOES ON. Check reviews from other students that attended DO NOT waste your money or time coming here.

This was a bad experience, I have type 4 hair and a white woman was assigned to me, her teachers were not guiding her in doing my hair, one student helped her detangle my hair another helped her blow dry, my appointment was at 6:30 and did not finish my hair by the time they closed I left unhappy. A guy named “Jesus” who I think might’ve been in charge that night said “by law we can’t stay open past 10” I came in at 6:30 for a color, trim and straighten, they knew what time they closed but watched the girl struggle for hours and let the student let me leave with my hair unfinished. That was not professional of the teachers who should know what their doing, they should’ve came together for the client to get me out of there on time and pleased. Instead they let her struggle and just watched, another teacher put 2 braids in my hair, if she wasn’t there I would’ve walked out looking a mess. I was very displeased. I understand their students and learning but the teachers need to do better with assisting the students. Not helping the student and telling me by law they can’t open past ten when they watched her struggle for hours with very little help is wrong, they shouldn’t teach the students to let the client leave unhappy. This was a bad experience I won’t be coming back

I attended this school and expected way more I recently graduated from The Beauty Institute aesthetics night class and it was the worst experience. Before I go into the bad I would like to say the teachers Mrs Carmen and Xenia was the absolute best without them the school would have been worst then what it was. Now the bad this school was lacking supplies our second week of being at the school teachers was fired or left, we got a new director Jone and she was not helpful at all, students attendance was messed up the system had students off for a week straight when they never missed a day. When teachers started to leave the school took it out on the students whole class who btw was making up missed hours was suspended for miss payments and once they was caught up the school director was fired now students are left unable to complete hours. Now let’s talk about the kits the makeup kit was so bad it make me dislike make up all together the wax in the wax kit was so bad people skin broke out, the best kit was the facial kit but we had to use most of our kits on clients after being told we did not need to bring our kits for paying clients because the school provided the supplies but the school ran out so much we had to use the rest from our kit. Overall do not waste your money on this school they mistreat there staff and students the worst experience every.

The students and environment here is amazing and the professors especially Christian, he was very helpful and thoughtful with putting me into this program 10/10! The tools that are given here as your kit are worth every penny
