You're Better off Shaving your Head. My friend has gone there multiple times and the owner Barbi, doesn't show up to her own appointments for HOURS, is constantly talking on her phone instead of focusing on her job, will leave you sitting there to go work on her "favorites" causing a 2 hour hair job to take 4 -1/2 Hours! No discounts offered no apologies. Then for the extra topping on the cake when you pay her, she does NOT OFFER CHANGE. However much money you gave her, she just takes it as a tip without asking and walks away from you. No one should ever go there, have a friend watch a youtube video and do your hair, you'll get a more professional experience.

I have gotten microlinks and a couple other styles from Barbie! She is the best I have seen in Iowa and I don’t trust people in my head so that says a lot about her. I will def be back again when I take these braids out

I love it here. One stop shop for beauty needs. Every time I come here Denise exceeds my expectations. I leave beautiful and happy! Plus you can shop, get waxed, nails, makeup! It’s like a a Barbie’s dream !

I'm from Illinois and have a family full of hairstylists but when I moved to Iowa I was lost. Lol. Unable to do anything with my own hair, most of the time I just got braids or wore wigs. I met Keiondra and she recommended Denise to me. And that was a blessing. Every time I've went, I've been happy with the outcome. The last time I went her mom, daughter and granddaughter was there. The family atmosphere made it even more comfortable. They were all very sweet. Even better, due to my own mistake I was an hour late to my appointment and she STILL accommodated me. I got a wash, and moisture treatment and style and loved it!!! Best stylist there is! ❤❤❤

They don't take accountability for their mistakes. Will put chemicals on your hair without consulting first, Wouldn't recommend unless you wanna go bald.

Denise is the best. She goes out of her way to make her clients feel the best. I’ve got excellent results every time I visit her shop. She accommodated me last year for my bday during the bad storm on her porch so I could still make my travel arrangements. She goes beyond satisfaction. And assuringly is one of the best hairstylist in Cedar Rapids. Thanks Denise you rock

She is literally one of the best hair layers and weave/wig slayers around!! I bought a beautiful wig from her and one year later it’s still gorgeous! She was flexible with meeting me and very friendly and willing to answer my many questions and deal with my indecisiveness lol. I’ll definitely be back for even more services! Proud of your success! This is one of the best hair stylists in Iowa she is honest and will let you know what will or won’t work. If you are not happy with her work it’s because of something you didn’t do or understand because she will explain everything you need to do to care for your hair.

This place is COMPLETELY HORRIBLE! This is not the place you come to for what you wanted VS what you got. My friend I been knowing for 8 years have never gotten a perm in her hair and she always had a HEAD FULL OF HAIR‼️ I wouldn’t recommend anyone to come here to the basement and get your hair done. Everything that’s seems cheap and reasonable isn’t always good. Now my friend sitting here with James Brown mushrooms hairstyle🤦🏾‍♀️ She wouldn’t even give her half her money back or refunded the whole thing after my friend came to her and showed her the problem. BAD FOR BUSINESS ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️She done had her worst experience here and she have never had to complain on hairstylist who actually knows what they’re doing.

Your hands are blessed by the almighty my dear. My experience was amazing! Communication was thorough, the place is so relaxing with great vibes, the host was sweet and very helpful. Denise helped me pick a style because I was unsure of what I wanted. She talked throughout the process explaining each step. She also explained aftercare to ensure upkee. It's nice to know that we still have stylist who actually care about the integrity of our hair in our community. I will definitely recommend! Keep up the great work guys!
