Amazing salon!! This was my first time, but it won’t be my last. I recommend to anyone with curly or textured hair, because these women know what they’re doing! They are so kind and Ulana gave me an incredible scalp treatment.

Called Tuesday & was surprised to get an appointment for Saturday for a couples massage. Called Saturday before the appointment & was told we weren’t in the system? Apparently “Jamie” didn’t notify the masseuse or put the appointment in the computer! Clearly need to train their employees better. This was an anniversary gift for us & we’re not from Grand Rapids so can’t even reschedule. Really disappointed!

I am absolutely obsessed with my hair stylist, Erica!! Not only is she kind and compassionate but she truly listens to what I want!! I first came to her in July where I told her that I wanted my hair highlighted/cut before my engagement photos and I have been going to her ever since! We are working on the perfect blonde before my wedding day, this coming September, and every time I go to her I’m never disappointed!! I truly recommend Erica to everyone I know so if you are looking for an amazing hairstylist that truly listens to you, go to her! I get my beard trimmed here and let me tell you that Karissa is better than most of these Barbers out there. Perfect lines, great service and professional advice for products. Watching the rest of the staff work while I'm getting lined up helped me realize that they are some of the best cosmetologist in the Grand Rapids area. Absolutely love the customer service and how friendly and accommodating they are. Oh and the scalp treatment.. definitely a must have. I highly recommend this establishment for all of your Hair, nails, and beauty needs.

I had my hair done twice and my sis had her makeup done once. The hair was aweful and the makeup was just so bad. I also had facial which was also not that great infact the guy that did my facial was not so welcoming and bit rude. They r overly priced and have the least experienced hair stylists and makeup “artists” I would not recommend any service besides hair cut by Emily she’s great

I have been a repeat customer of Tanaz for several years with services including massage as well as haircut and style. I had scheduled an updo for my daughter for an upcoming dance and had accumulated 15 stamps on their "passport to savings" card which equates to $750.00. However, sadly, I had two cards: one with 11 stamps and one with four stamps. Although the owner verified that I had enough visits in their computer, she said she couldn't combine the cards due to the cost of the cards as it "simply wasn't cost effective." As a luxury boutique that charges luxury prices, having cards seems like an unnecessary practice and would like to suggest that the owner rethink how she could "save on costs" but still provide a luxury experience as well as meet the goal of rewarding repeat customers, especially when it is clear that the visits are all verified in the computer. She continued to argue with me that she couldn't award me the $50 gift card due to the "principle" of the matter. I am disappointed as to me, it IS a matter of "principle". It's a principle that I spent $750 and the mere fact it is on two separate pieces of paper the size of a business card shouldn't matter. I'm sorry that you've chosen paper cards and it's frustrating people forget them, I do get that but please come up with a new system/approach. I cancelled my daughter's updo and will not be returning to Tanaz due to the "principle."

I’ve been going to Tanaz for the past 20 years. Absolutely the best hair salon in town. I get my haircuts , highlights, blowouts, & scalp treatments done by the entire team. Badrie is my absolute favorite artist for challenging highlight request & color. Ulana & Fatime are excellent as well! Love the ambience of the salon, great customer service, reasonable pricing, and ease of online scheduling!

Called at the last minute hoping to get an appointment for a pedicure. All I can say was, the young lady who answered the phone was very nice and accommodating. Right there, I knew this salon was a winner! I inquired if there was anything available for a pedicure today, knowing it was last minute I was a little doubtful, but was informed that there was a opening. So upon arriving I was greeted by the receptionist and my Manicurist, Elena. The rest I can say is history! I’m sold, Elena was very nice and professional not to mention provided me with an awesome pedicure! I’m very excited to go back to indulge in a facial n message! This is a hidden gem, one I’m am glad to have found and spread the word! 😊

I love Badre! She's the BEST! Badre has been cutting my hair for over 35 years! She is so kind, and compassionate. Badre is very professional, in a warm way. I consider her a friend. Nobody cuts hair the way Badre does. I always know, I will get a good cut when Badre does my hair. She is EVERYTHING you want in a stylist built into one. All the people at her salon are wonderful, they make it an experience! You won't regret it!

Me and five of my closest girlfriends were all chosen to be bridesmaids at our best friend’s wedding. The bride to be booked the entire afternoon for all of us to get our hair and make-up done at Tanaz. As is tradition, the day of the wedding was chaotic; riddled with delays, drama and debutantes, etc. I myself was extremely frantic as well, that is, until I walked into Tanaz. Upon entering, my senses were invigorated by what I can only describe as the scent of eucalyptus mixed with love. Yes, if “love” had a scent, it would be called Tanaz. The boutique itself is in absolutely pristine condition, everything is literally so clean. It’s also decorated beautifully with bamboo trees and earthy massage stones. Anyway, the first item on the agenda was my hair. I was led to my chair by a very friendly, very professional, young woman named Ellie. Whoa…talk about a total game changer. She listened to my every request, every concern and made my hair look exactly how I wanted. To be completely honest, I had no idea what I was doing but Ellie did. She somehow took the scrambled vision I had in my head and turned it into the beautiful reality you can see below. One more thing about Ellie; her bedside manner is incomparable to any stylist I’ve ever met before. Courteous, understanding and wise beyond her years. If you want to have the best hair day of your life, make an appointment with her. Next on the agenda was my make-up and I was pretty nervous. I never looked good in wedding make-up, it’s usually overdone and caked on. But similar to the situation above, I had another life changing moment when I was introduced to Fatime. I had a vague idea of how I wanted my make-up to look but at that point I was so exhausted from the day that I had trouble articulating my vision. Fatime was able to analyze the severity of the situation faster than I could mutter out some gibberish about my “vision” lol. Anyway then she got to work. She was the artist, my face was the canvas and what she created was an absolute masterpiece…I mean my god. I was overwhelmed by the amount of compliments I received at the reception, I’ve never looked so elegant and sophisticated before. Alright I’ve gone on long enough about Tanaz at this point. Just go here if you want to look like you just got off the runway or have one of the best hair/make-up experiences of your life. Thank you so much ladies, you’re wonderful.

Tanaz is top notch for all your spa needs. Elena is fantastic for nail services! Very efficient and clean, she is friendly and goes above and beyond to make your experience relaxing and enjoyable. I highly recommend her and the salon in general.

Best salon ever!!! Used to drive from Detroit just to have Badrie cut my hair- she’s amazing! I used Ulana for my wedding hair/makeup and she did a phenomenal job! Have also gotten multiple facials with kyle/barbod and eyebrows waxed with Hong and they killed it! Can’t recommend Tanaz enough!

My hair took longer than expected since it was long and thick and my stylist Laura was professional and polite and did a wonderful job. Her boss came to help as it was almost closing time but the boss was rough with the brush.

This is on of GR's best kept secrets. The environment is so relaxing and everyone is so nice. Kristina did an awesome job on my hair. She gave it a new style and is very nice and pleasant person. This is my new place. My wife is also planning on going to see Kristina this July.

Unfortunately the owner of this place has done a great job at running her customers out of town. It's been increasingly difficult for me to schedule anything and this last time I called in they just said "hello" and when I asked in a confused tone if this was Tanaz they hung up on me. I've heard from plenty of the staff that she's terrible. It's unfortunate. I would recommend looking elsewhere for customer service that aligns more closely with what they're charging.

I am really grateful for the wonderful ladies working at Tanaz. I called them a couple hours just before their closing time, in tears, after having had a bad hair dye experience. I didn’t have an appointment, and they told me to just come in, and talk to them. They were extremely kind, and took care of me, and helped me fix my hair! Oksana was extremely helpful, she listened to me, and helped my calm down from my bad experience. Tanaz will be my go to place for any hair changes. I really loved what they did to my hair!
