I had my hair done by Gabrielle Wright at the Tallulah East Collective today, and I could not be any more impressed by the entire experience! The salon itself is comfortable, beautiful, and the one on one, private atmosphere is very refreshing. I have long, brunette hair and was searching all over for a stylist that could do dimensional highlights specifically on a brunette, which is not very common in UT. I found Gabrielle's work on IG and am so happy that I did! From the moment I reached out, she was so engaged and really took the time to understand what I did and did not want for my hair, even before I arrived. Gabrielle is so friendly and so talented!! The dimensional highlights, protein treatment, and trim she did all turned out exactly as I wanted! The highlights are stunning and the blonde is toned to perfection which can be difficult on brunette hair. I could not be more pleased with the results! I would highly recommend Gabrielle to anyone looking for a stylist!

I have never received a better color, ever! Maddie took her time with me and blended my hair perfectly. I was always told that gray is a difficult color to match. It wasn’t difficult for Maddie she did an absolutely incredible job. I love my color and my cut! Thanks a million Maddie! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🤗🤗

I tried to set my wife up an appointment. I went through carefully and read what each person did and specialized in and picked someone specifically for what she wanted. It was like a month or so out from when I set up the appointment. She was super excited and told the lady what she wanted and all was good. And then all of the sudden a week or so away from the appointment her person “no longer does blonde hair anymore” that they might have someone else to do it. But literally when you pick someone it says what they do. And to select which service you want. So don’t put something as an option to select if they can’t do it. Or update. Anyway she we waits to hear from them. Few more days go by and nothing. So my wife reaches out because her appointment day is coming up. And the owner which was super unprofessional couldn’t even respond in a timely manner. Or in a way that helped at all. Come to find out they put her on a waitlist “for when someone might be available” so that my wife didn’t even get her appointment even though she waited a month already. And it was their fault. Not even worried about our lost time. Inconsiderate. Won’t even think about sending her here again. Final thought. If they can’t even get something as simple as setting up your appointments or customer service right. There is no way I’d let them touch my wifes hair.

I’m so lucky to have found Claudette when I moved to Utah two years ago. I wear my hair a copper red and it wasn’t in great shape when I got here. Claudette was able to correct the color challenges and get my hair to the color I wanted and it’s healthier than ever. She does a great job of listening to what you want and working with you to find the best approach that works for you and your hair.

Maddie did my hair today and I am obsessed! The studio was so cute and clean and had such a relaxing vibe to it. Maddie did a full blonding service on me with full highlights, she also did an olaplex treatment and a trim on all my dead ends. I have pretty fine hair but a lot of it and the olaplex treatment really made a difference. I came in with 3 months of grow out and left with this beautiful blonde color for the winter!!

Tallulah East Collective is an absolute gem! The salon was beautiful, with a team of incredibly friendly stylists. Despite feeling under the weather, their kindness made my visit a delight. I went for highlights, an Olaplex treatment, and trim (I have fine hair). I requested a cool-toned, natural-looking blonde. I really wanted something low-maintenance that would grow out seamlessly. Gabrielle delivered exactly that, a stunning color that suited my hair flawlessly. Overall, it was a stellar experience! Gabrielle's expertise, combined with the salon's ambiance, made my visit exceptional. Highly recommended for top-notch hair care and a welcoming atmosphere.

The Tallulah East salon has such a beautiful atmosphere with amazing staff. As soon as I walked in, Emma Johnson, my stylist, was so kind and took my coat and offered snacks and drinks. The salon is so professional and clean and has a very modern vibe. Emma took the time to go over my hair history and treatment goals. The stylists at the salon work hard to make sure to get you on track to achieve your dream hair, and they even spend time asking detailed questions to get a good idea of how to make your dream hair happen. My treatment with Emma (who was so darling and fun) included blending my natural dirty blonde hair color with my months’ worth of outgrown bright blonde. I also got a haircut and highlights around my face. Normally my hair is thin, blonde, dry, and brittle, but after my treatment my ends felt amazing and look so much healthier. I asked to keep my natural color but add in some highlights that would be low maintenance. I also wanted a money piece around my face. She did a phenomenal job blending my hair and I left with the perfect blend for me of dirty blonde with highlights. Emma was awesome in helping me to feel confident in my hair again. Overall, my experience here was amazing. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a new hair salon and HIGHLY recommend EMMA! <3

Best experience I have had at a salon in a long time. Collin was amazing and took time to talk me through my goals and products that would be good for my hair type without trying to sell me anything. Plus size friendly. The chairs were large and comfortable as well as the wash station.

I have hair past my rear end, it is very long. I went to get a corrective color from Claudette as I wanted to work towards getting more to my natural color of silver that was coming in and had made a mistake by trying to do this with a store bought bottle color with not-so-great consequences. I requested she not take too much off of the length of my hair. She did a wonderful job of trying to keep my hair healthy while keeping the length. She gave me great advice and suggestions and worked very hard to make my long hair look good. It was beautiful when she was finished and I was more than satisfied. I would recommend Claudette to anyone. She knows her business.

Got a partial blonde balayage from Janette and she did an amazing job. I’ve gotten balayage in the past and this is by far the best blend of my natural root to a beautiful ashy blonde. Sitting down and talking about what I really wanted before my hair was even touched was so refreshing as I feel like salons can become so impersonal. I definitely appreciated the extra touches and will be going back to get my hair toned from Janette in the future!

I recently relocated to SLC and needed to find a new stylist specializing in lived-in blonde. I reached out to Tallulah East Collective and was matched with Katie Plank. I was able to get into the Sugarhouse location within a week of booking and the experience was amazing. Katie is awesome and 3 hours with her honestly flew by! She took the time to ask me about my hair and figure out exactly what I wanted to change, and the results were spot on. The salon was clean, chic, and very comfortable; the private salon space was something I had never experienced and really loved. Genuinely looking forward to booking with Katie again!

My whole experience was unpresedenting. I was desperate to get my hair fixed after I visited another salon. Jennifer matched me with Collin based on my needs and urgency to make me look presentable for my business meeting. I am grateful for understanding and not giving up when she saw this hair disaster. All I can say is that Collin is a wizard in his field. As embarrassing as the initial hair "baylage" done at another salon looks, I am choosing to post these to show the work of true artist.

Araceli did my hair and to be honest i haven’t stopped looking in the mirror. I showed her exactly what color I wanted and let me tell you.. she DELIVERED. I’ve never had someone do something exactly like the picture. Her client care is amazing and I will definitely continue going to her.

I found Tay on instagram and I’m so glad I did! She is absolutely lovely, and her balayage work is INCREDIBLE! I went in having not dyed my hair in awhile, as it had been damaged by previous dye jobs. I was hoping to switch things up colour wise, without damaging my hair like it was before. Tay took the time to sit down for an in-depth consultation about my hair type and goals (it’s wavy, but I don’t want to have to heat style it every single day!), and the results were amazing! She completely transformed my hair from it’s natural shade to an amazing honey colour! She really took the time to address my hair cut needs, as well as colour making it so I can have body with my waves without split ends or crazy fly aways. The atmosphere there is incredible, and the private rooms make it even better. Tay is incredibly talented! She specializes in brunettes and redheads, and if that’s you I’d highly recommend booking with her!

I found out this salon on yelp and everything has been so shockingly easy. I was able to book a time with their owner that worked for my busy schedule. I got set up with the perfect stylist for my dark dark brown hair, Tay. These are the cutest private studios you’ve ever been too and I’m from CA where salons can be a bit bougie. I’ve done a cut, treatment and now color and it’s better every time. I cannot say enough about Tay, she’s super talented and brand new here. She’s going to book up quick. Love love love!!

I got my hair done last Saturday. Meg was awesome and made sure she knew exactly what I wanted! I came in with brassy orangish highlights throughout my hair because they last stylists toned my blondes that way. Meg tones the color and added bleach and now I have balayage hair that looks sooo much better. The atmosphere was great and the chairs were so comfortable which you never find at any other salon. I highly recommend getting your hair done here!

I just had the best salon experience EVER! Taylor was fabulous! I highly recommend her. She gave me a 30 minute consultation asking questions about my hair and look that i wanted to achieve. No salon has ever taken the time to truly understand my needs. She listened to my hair concerns, made amazing suggestion and delivered fabulous results on all levels. My hair looks amazing!! Taylor is talented, professional, and paid attention to every detail. She really knows hair and how to deliver. I couldn't be happier. My hair shines and looks so healthy. She applied a complimentary shine and performed a 3 step scalp treatment because of my scalp sensitivity. Her specialty is brunettes and red heads. I definitely recommend you make an appointment with Taylor today. I promise you'll be happy you did!

I was chosen as a hair model with one of Tallulah East's stylists, Chelsea Bastian. I loved how simple the process was to sign up to be a model. I contacted her through Instagram when she said she had an opening for a model, and we arranged the appointment through there. This appointment was a blessing for me. I had recently split with my boyfriend, and I knew that I needed to do something radical with my hair to start healing. Chelsea was very receptive to my ideas, and made sure to show me color palettes of the hair color she was thinking of doing on me, as well as pictures to make sure that the cut I was explaining matched what I wanted in my head. This was super important and special for me, because at other salons I have been to, they quickly asked what I wanted and then just started cutting. I loved that there are little snacks and drinks they offer clients during appointments, as well as the near proximity to the restroom that the salon is! I also loved that they offer wash treatments complimentary when you are at the washing bowl. The complimentary bang cuts also were a plus for me, because I need to have bangs to look cute! I ended up getting a color treatment done, as well as a haircut. I went from medium blonde to a brown/copper. Chelsea is very skilled with the colors! I love how when I am in different lights that sometimes my hair looks brown, sometimes copper, and sometimes a mix of the two! I also did a haircut. I started with just past shoulder length hair, and I got a layered chin length bob done Finally, the best thing out of my appointment with Chelsea is that she asked me before she did the undercut! That was super cool for me. She took beautiful pictures of the finished result, and I would recommend all of my friends to go visit Chelsea at Tallulah East Collective!!! I will be going back to see her soon!

I've been transitioning to a new stylist, between that and trying to find someone who understands Asian hair I was feeling pretty worried. The team here was super nice and easy to work with. Brie was great at listening to what I wanted while also being SO informative about what it would take to get to the different color options. She was so nice and very great to work with despite how long it took to get my hair to the color family I wanted. I also love the transparency in what they do and don't charge for. Cannot recommend this salon enough honestly.

It has taken me far too long to submit this too-long review, but I can now share from the perspective of having a few months’ worth of growth and washing on my color. Firstly, let me say that I am extremely protective of my (fine, dark blonde + graying) hair, have been trying to grow it out for ages but have had a couple of overzealous stylists trim way too much off. I often leave salons feeling a deep sense of remorse and not happy with what I just paid someone a bunch of money to do to my hair, so I’m rather shy about salon care overall. I have also never had anyone professionally color my hair (see protective tendencies above). Recently, I’d been fantasizing about ways to make my white hairs grow in naturally without giving me the grimy gray look. I was hoping to also keep my hair as healthy and shiny as possible, so I could also grow it as long as possible, at least down past my bra strap. I made my appointment with Katie after searching through tons of reviews all over town, and I could not be happier with my experience!! Firstly, she took serious time with me to get a sense of what I was hoping to get from a color treatment. After listening and taking close notes, and patiently looking at the many photos I brought for ideas, she suggested that a balayage treatment was the best approach. We had a lovely warm conversation while she worked on my hair, and I got exactly the personalized color result I wanted. My hair looked absolutely incredible when I left that day, I felt like a million bucks, and I was so grateful that I could trust Katie to make my hair feel more like me. She also offered advice on after-color care with products that moisturize and protect my hair, and I wanted my new look to last so I obeyed! I’m really glad I did—my hair feels super soft, supple, and healthy. Now, a couple months later, my color is still gorgeous, my grays are blending in with the delicate highlights she placed carefully around my head, and I am looking forward to visiting her again for a touch-up in the coming months. I’ve been trying to go from a dark brown box dye color back to my natural color for months. I was not happy with how my hair had been turning out after appointments (very brassy and then super ombré looking) and I called Jennifer (the owner) and she set me up with Brie who’s an expert in corrective color. I could not have been more happy with how my hair turned out after ONE appointment with Brie. She did an awesome consultation and got my hair exactly how I wanted it. She made great recommendations for hair product, she’s very personable, and she has great taste in music. This salon (and Jennifer) are truly dedicated to make sure they exceed your expectations and go above and beyond to ensure make sure you are satisfied.

The best customer service, place, people and services! I did hair balayage for the first time in my life and soo in love with the results!! Brie did my hair and she took a long time to make sure that she understands what I want. English isn’t my first language so she was super patient with me. l wanted a soft and not bold look and got what I wanted. This was my first visit to see Brie. I don’t know where to start... Brie is an amazing, artistic and, creative hairstylist!!! I arrived at my appointment not sure what color or type of color technique I wanted to get. She spent quite a long time with me doing a consultation, and discussed all the options that were available and what would look best with my skin tone, and lifestyle. This is the first time in over 10 years that I felt I was listened to and offered solid advice by a hair professional. Brie did a weave on my short blonde hair, and it looks more than AMAZING, words cannot describe how pleased I am with her work. She took time while doing the weave and was not rushed while she was doing my hair. She has a fantastic personality which made it a relaxing experience. She even took the time to heat style my hair - which is something I never do on my own, and now I want to do it this way everyday! I even booked two more appointments before I left, I’m so glad that I found Brie and she will be my new hairstylist for the rest of my life!
