I went to my scheduled appointment today 8-27-2024 and D.Sweeting the owner and stylist jacked the price up $30.She is unprofessional, rude,and dishonest. People PLEASE stop giving her your money and put her out of BUSINESS!

I wanted some crochet braids and I called Sweeting at the last minute. She adjusted her schedule to fit me in very early in the morning. She started on my hair right away and got finished in under 2-hrs. Sweeting is a true professional and she did a fantastic job. I received MANY compliments on my hairstyle. 10 out of 10!

I have received services from Mrs. Sweetings twice for my daughter and I. Each appointment has been started on time and finished quicker than expected. Miss Sweeting did a beautiful job on my hair! I have thick, curly hair and get so tired of dealing with it that I got a silk press. Miss Sweeting was fast- she washed, blow dried, and pressed my hair in a little over 2 hours! And it looks amazing still, almost a week later. She’s got magic hands, a comforting, warm presence, and it was a pleasure to sit in her chair. She offers so many different services and even sells varying products. She is the truth, very knowledgable and efficient, and I will be back!

Drove over an hour to go to Ms. Sweety, and I am very happy I did. I went and got a wash and dry w/ a dead ends trim and got some stitch braids. Everything was fast and efficient! It usually takes me anywhere from 3-4 hours just to get my hair detangled and braided. But Ms. Sweety did wash/detangle/trim and my braids in a 2 hr span and everything looked really good. Was very pleased with my experience and results.

Ok im revising my statement after 3 visits. Lady Sweeting can braid like an expert. Clean and neat. Her feed in weave technique is meticulous . She is a realist bc she is from New York. Meaning you bring her a hair style, she lets you know if it’s possible so you don’t get your hopes up high. She is creative with a great technique to complete the hair styles we imagine up lol! My only regret is she doesn’t have a salon in my hood.

This salon and beauty school is the place to be. 1st of many more visits to come was on yesterday 3-10-23. I love the vibe and Mrs. Sweeting is concerned with the health of your hair more than anything else. I love how she not only provides a great service, but educates you in what's best for your hair. The fact that she is an educator for the state says it all. She has a rich wealth of knowledge/professionalism. I strongly advise/encourage everyone to find this hidden treasure and hold on to it for dear life. Her credentials says it all for me, as opposed to spending money with amateurs whose focus might only be monetary. If we do the right thing, your name precedes you. Thank you Mrs. Sweeting. Well done and I'll see you in 2 weeks.

When I considered starting my loc journey, I thought about Mrs. Sweeting because of her 20 + years of experience. I wanted someone who was knowledgeable and who would take the time to educate me on locs and I found that at Sweetings Hair School. I am 1 year into my loc journey and I am loving my locs thanks to Ms. Sweeting, I learned to embrace my journey from day 1. It is 100% worth the 2hr drive from Chattanooga to Nashville because I know that I am going to receive exceptional service every time. This New York jewel won over this southern girl a long time ago! Today without a word but a touch of just styling And braiding my special needs younger cousin today she slayed and delivered once again. I trust her professional over trends anytime. She is honest and will tell you what works, what you need, and how to maintain healthy hair. She has a one stop shop! You need hair? She got it! You need jewelry? She got it! You need bonnets? She got you covered! Old school but wise and hip to all the generations that come! That smile when you come and leave is genuine. If u ask her to keep you in her prayers as well as those talented hands!!! You save! I wouldn’t trust a better woman!
