Malia is the best!! I barely have to tell her what I want, a couple pictures and a quick description and she knows exactly what to do. My favorite colorist I’ve ever had. Everyone in the salon is so kind and going there every 6 weeks is always an experience.

Alyssa is the BEST. She does amazing color, cuts, styles, etc. I would recommend her to ANYONE. She is so kind & always makes me feel so welcome. I’ve never loved my hair more than when coming to surreal. The entire staff is great and the salon is so cute. My hair is so healthy, long, & my exact color that I want. Love surreal and love Alyssa. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

I’ve been going to Jeana at Surreal for over a year now and am constantly blown away by the service and care she and the Surreal team provide! She is dedicated to her craft and always delivers amazing results with my cut, color, and style! My hair has never received as many compliments as it has in the last year, and it’s all thanks to Jeana! I can’t recommend her and this salon enough!

Was in town for a wedding and decided last minute I wanted to book an appt for an updo and lash application. They got me right in the day of the wedding and made me look fabulous. Alyssa was so sweet and friendly! She applied my lashes PERFECTLY and my hair looked amazing - stayed all night!! Will definitely revisit next time we are in town for a visit.

Always the best experience !! Staff are all so kind to each other and he customers. I have to drive about 45 minutes to get there and I am so excited to see Danielle and visit with her. I have been a client of hers for over 20 years and as long as she is in business ,l'll be there !!!!!

I saw Zeke today for foil and I could not be happier with the result! It was basically a color correction and needed a lot of help, I left the salon with a beautiful cool blonde highlight and my hair feels so soft and healthy— he was able to remove all the brassy yellow stripes in my hair while still keeping the integrity of my hair. He was also so fun to chat with! I am so happy and finally feel like I found my go to stylist in Nashville! Thank you Zeke!

Wow, wow, wow! Jeana & Alyssa are ROCK STARS! My sister & I were in from out of town for a wedding. Went to Surreal based on reviews & were blown away (no pun intended)! Blow outs & make up - I still can't believe how FABULOUS we looked! Everyone at the wedding wanted to know where we went. Jeana & Alyssa are gorgeous, friendly & talented beyond belief. You should RUN, not walk, to book these ladies! Thank you, Jeana & Alyssa - every time we look at these wedding photos we will remember you!

I have searched high and low for the past two years since moving to Nashville to find the ultimate Blonde specialist and I finally found Taylar! She is incredibly talented and applies the perfect blonde color everytime! I know as a blonde Im extremely picky and she nails it time after time. She also makes you feel more than comfortable and is a perfectionist her self and it shows in her work. I cant recommend her enough!! 100% ask for Taylar, she’s incredible

I always have a 10/10 experience with Gunnar at Surreal. I now have 4 friends who I’ve referred to Gunnar and they are just as obsessed as I am. I’ve been going to him for all my hair needs for almost 2 years now. I recommend to anyone!

I called because I realized that my appointment was at 3p instead of 3:30P and I was going to be 15 minutes late for the appointment. The lady at the front desk was extremely rude I apologized and said I’m so sorry it was my error however it was her total lack of customer service and tone that really did it for me. I asked her what the cancellation fee was since I so frustrated at that point she says there was no cancellation that it’s the full charge since I missed my appointment but I could “try” to get a dry style. I let her know for a second time my hair was beyond an option for a dry style and that it had to be washed before or at the appointment. She basically told me that was my fault and I had no other options. Will not recommend this place to anyone for sincere lack of customer service. I get it. I had the error of not checking first but nobody deserves to be talked to how I was.

I've been going to Surreal for about 7 months now. The people are always very nice and greet you with a smile and hello when you enter. Zeke does a fantastic job on my hair. I think it's very professional that the hair techs share knowledge about the techniques they're using and the product mixes. I enjoy the music playing in the background - it's enough that you can hear it, but not overpowering that you can't have a normal conversation. Overall, it's a friendly and professional salon.

Just finished up with my stylist, zeke. I’ve been seeing him for months now (at least 4 times) since moving to Nashville & highly recommend him! Always hard trying to find a new stylist when you over to a new city but he has so much knowledge when it comes to hair (color and extension install). It’s always fun to have a stylist who you can converse with during your appointment as well. Zeke will do what’s best for your hair and I truly appreciate that as I have thin hair that needs to grow out. The regular haircuts are helping but the hand tied extensions really made all my hair dreams come true 😍

New to Nashville, I have been looking for a hairdresser to tackle my daughter's thick hair. Found Danielle @ Surreal Beauty and she killed it. Teen is happy, mom is happy. Danielle is soooo good. The staff is fun, welcoming, and the place is such a beautiful hang, I didn't want to leave. Love them.

The experience at Surreal Beauty | Barber | Blowout was tremendously horrid. The Hooligans working there are rude and disrespectful. If you ever think of getting a delicious do do not go to this little place will insult you while you are attempting to just get a a cut. DO NOT spend your money on this place. Thank you.

There’s no way for me to give anything less than a star. The manager is using crazy profanity over the phone cursing out my family and hanging up on me. Saying I’m not the one doing good business but she’s talking to me any kind of way and hanging up. Doing what I guess is her best to threaten me too.

This place is amazing! The vibe and atmosphere was very inviting, comfortable, and genuine. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a Salon to call home in Nash! Riley was awesome and did exactly what I requested which rarely happens with my hair! Incredible!

This salon is the best! It’s super clean and the staff is very friendly. I used my previous hair lady for 10 years then moved to Nashville, I was so nervous to get my hair done but Zeke made me feel very comfortable. I have been back multiple times and every time he blows me away with his skills. 10/10 recommend to any one!

Zeke is amazing! I found him when I first moved to Nashville and now I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair. His blonde services are next level. Not only is he knowledgeable, but he’s easy to talk to as well. He makes me feel at ease in the chair and really enjoy my experience. Can’t recommend him or this place enough!

First of all I am appalled by the lack of respect the owner Melanie has for her clients. You would think as a business owner you would take positive actions towards paying customers but nope you get cursed out instead. $229 for a blowout for a black woman is insane. Just wondering how many idiots does it take to do a black womans blowout? Cause apparently it takes 5 is what I am getting.

Such a fabulous place. From the moment you arrive until the moment you leave, the experience is both relaxing and invigorating at the same time! So beautifully decorated with both style and comfort. The blowouts really can't be beat. When in Nashville, I would go nowhere else for all my beautiful needs!

Zeke the magician strikes again! He can seriously do miracles with my hair. The salon is very welcoming. It’s super clean and the staff is really friendly. Compared to the rest of the city, it’s priced well and they don’t rush to change chairs.
