I was greeted by the staff when I walked in. Although the nail salon is smaller, I liked the modern style. I told Grapes that I needed a mani and pedi but in a bit of a rush. Grapes was awesome! She helped me picked out my nail color. She took care of my in grown nail delicately. The foot massage was divine. Overall results was great. She even got me out in time to pick up my toddler from daycare. I will definitely go back.

Grapes was amazing at doing my nails! She was kind and considerate of the length and style I wanted. She was thorough and made sure I felt happy with the end product! Would highly recommend.

If I could do zero I definitely would. The worst 100 dollars spent. I wanted to give them a try. But I regret it so much. They did a very bad job and I was sitting there for freaking 3 hours. The lady had no idea how to do my service and was asking her coworker constantly in secret and she said “do you understand?” It’s like she was practicing with me but charging full service. Bubbles and bumps everywhere. The shape is so ugly. The way she filed my nails it’s so bad. She cut me like 5 times. I don’t know how the others do the service but Angelica I think her name was, is no good. Don’t go with her if you don’t want to waste your money. 0/5 I’m literally going to go somewhere else tomorrow. That’s how bad they are

I’ve been going here for almost a year. They used to have very experienced nail techs that were timely, and did great work. The salon is very clean. However, the last 2 times I’ve been the entire staff had changed, and my nail polish was uncured, and most recently my nail broke less than a week in. Not enjoyable paying for nails that won’t last or aren’t cured, more of a hassle.

I received a gift card for my anniversary and after booking my appointment, Monica reached out saying that the name the gift card was purchased with didn’t match the credit card used for the transaction. I called back and left a voicemail to clear it up and give them the name on the credit card. She texted me back letting me know she refunded the gift card and asked if I wanted to keep my appointment as they “often encounter instances of fraud” during this time of year. Knowing that their money receiving system could be compromised I decided to cancel and leave this review as this was handled very poorly and I wasn’t treated fairly or professionally.

I recently moved to Salt Lake, and this has been my go-to nail place! Got Gel-x a few weeks ago, and got regular gel this week. My nails have lasted really well. Vianey has done my nails both times. She is very kind, and she has great attention to detail. Love my new nail spot!

Obsessed. This is my first time trying gel X. It’s pricey but worth it so far! Andrea was quick but paid close attention to perfecting each nail. She walked me through the process and did an amazing job with the paint. Highly recommended.

I’ve been going to Andrea regularly for a year now and I am so happy with how my nails look every time! I’ve been getting builder gel and my nails are so strong and there is never any lifting! I always look forward to seeing Andrea because she’s great to chat with throughout my appointment :)

To start, I rarely get my nails done and usually just do cuticle care and filing myself, but I want to treat myself for my birthday and specifically wanted to try builder gel since my nails are pretty frail. I have seen many nail techs use builder on tiktok and I immediately noticed the way she applied the polish was not like I had seen other techs do it. They do the slip layer and then the bead of it to build the apex and ‘float it’ down the nail for extra strength. She pretty much just pained two coats of what looked like clear gel before the color… Once she was finished, my nails felt great and strong. After I left upon closer examination I saw my sidewalls had been missed on multiple nails but it wasn’t that noticeable. I then saw a lot of unevenness on the polish and some nails just looked lumpy. As much as a perfectionist I am, I could deal with these things. It was not even a day later when I saw already two nails were lifting. Two turned to 4 and I called to get the repaired and they said that I would have to pay for the full set all over again if I wanted to see a different nail tech. She also mentioned some policy about it being past the 24hrs since I got them done and that they would be charging me for it. Extremely disappointed at this experience and will not be returning :/

UPDATE 2024-10-01: IZZY IS REALLY GOOD TOO!!! Andrea did such a good job!! It was my first mani pedi and she took great care of me and I love the results. I will be back!

Booking is easy, and they offer late appointments (7:00 PM), which is super convenient for anyone with a 9-to-5 job. My only concern is that they don't get close to the cuticle or do much cuticle work, so regrowth happens pretty quickly. However, I've never experienced a broken nail or chip, and the shape is always gorgeous. Overall, I highly recommend them!

Kensey was such a cutie pie and amazing at her job! She let me play around with the idea I wanted and did everything perfectly! She has a helpful and happy aura around her. 10/10 would recommend going to her! So detailed as well

I am an ex client of Sugar Pop and a close friend of an ex employee. When I would come to my appointments the energy of the place always seemed off. When the owner would come in her kindness to employees and clients felt insincere. I would hear her get snippy with her employees over things like the music and she would have them take care of these issues in the middle of an appointment instead of doing it herself. I also work in the beauty industry and have a lot of salon knowledge. I am aware of some shady business practices and mistreatment of employees. All around a negative and upsetting environment and experience except for the beautiful nails I would walk out with. I’m never going back and I’m spreading the word.

H I had an amazing experience at Sugar Pop Nails in Salt Lake City, Utah! Emily was my nail technician, and she was absolutely fantastic. We started right on time, and she made the whole process enjoyable with our great conversation. Emily helped me pick the perfect nail color and was incredibly pleasant to work with. She listened carefully to my concerns and performed the service exactly as I requested. I couldn't be happier with the results. I will definitely be back!

I had the most amazing experience at SugarPop Nails! Such a pretty aesthetic, they actually offer GEL X services (very rare out here!), have probably the best polishes and colors, everyone was super sweet and I honestly think this is my new go-to nail spot in salt lake! <3 Thank you so much to AJ for capturing my vision so well and killing these nails! I visited this nail shop, for a pedicure, for the first time after hearing raving reviews. My service started 1 hr after the appointment I booked. The nail tech was very nice but appeared inexperienced. The seating area where I was seated was not cleaned. I then told the nail tech that there was still water in the pedicure bowl. She apologized and mentioned someone must have not cleaned up after themselves and moved me to another seat. During the service I made note of telling her I didn’t want my nails cut short she proceeded to file them very short. Then the polish was applied incorrectly and was all over her hands. She had already cured the gel on one foot when she noticed the polish was incorrectly applied and left my other foot with fresh polish (uncured). She then attempted to remove the polish from the cured foot by using polish remover and scrapping with her own nails. In the middle of the service she had to change her gloves because the polish was all over them and all over my feet. I was calm as she appeared nervous and it seemed like she was new. However, about an hour of struggling she noted it was the polish causing trouble. I then suggested to change polish which she dismissed and said, “no I’ll make this work.” Then after what seemed like 30 more minutes of struggle she said you know what we might just change the polish. At this point, I had been in the nail shop for quite sometime, so I asked her to please just remove the polish and I would come back at a later date. She then told me “actually you know what, they are fine there shouldn’t be a problem.” Proceeded to end the service with the nails as they were. Since I’m not a confrontational person I just agreed to leave them. My idea was to visit another shop to have them fix it. To top it off she then proceeds to check me out as if nothing had happened. She didn’t even offer to make things right by proposing a discount or simply not charging me. Instead I was charged $75 for an extremely bad service that lasted 2 hours after my appointment time. I proceeded to pay because as I said I’m not a confrontational person but wanted to make sure this doesn’t happen to someone else (reason for review).

I got my nails done here on Valentine’s Day and I’m amazed with how flawless they still look! Usually when I get gel nails, they chip within a couple of days. This is the longest I’ve noticed my nails lasting and they feel strong too! Andrea did my nails and was the sweetest person ever:) Easily the best place I’ve found to get my nails done in SLC!

I had the absolute pleasure of experiencing Emily's pedicure service, and I am beyond satisfied. The pedicure itself was meticulously done, with attention to detail. But what truly sets Emily apart is her phenomenal foot massage. She has a magic touch that somehow eased all the tensions away and left me feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. It was an oasis of calm in my otherwise hectic day. Emily herself is a gem. She's not just incredibly talented at what she does, but she's also genuinely sweet and beautiful, both inside and out. Her warm and welcoming demeanor immediately puts you at ease and makes the entire experience even more enjoyable. I cannot recommend Emily enough. I look forward to my next visit.
