My stylist moved out of state so I had to find someone new in the area. I reached out to Studio 44 and requested a consult. The owner was very rude, judgmental, and condescending. Not to mention the price she quoted me was double that of the last stylist I had. Needless to say I refused to let her touch my hair.

Love the new location in South Windsor. Same fun staff who provide expert cuts, styles, and colors. Both my wife and I have been customers for years.

Update 11/24: Studio 44 has moved to South Windsor now. And we will continue to go there for our family. :) It has been over 10 years since we have been coming to Michele for our family’s hair care. What you get is someone who knows hair! She will take the time to explain what you need to do to take care of your hair. She will give you the best hair cut. She will listen and give you honest advice. My kids love her and trust her to guide them through the latest fad and whether it will work for them or not. They love seeing her for their haircuts and appreciate her listening ear. Michele is a wonderful business owner- treats her employees and customers with respect. She is kind and caring. She is involved with the community and gives so much back. Becky who handles scheduling is on TOP of things! Between Michele and her they do their best to ensure that your special event’s hair needs are cared for! :) You cannot go wrong with Michele and her team. You will never need to go anywhere else. And yes Michele can help you fix that bad haircut you may have gotten elsewhere. We know because we have needed her help to fix bad haircuts when we moved. :) Now, I just drive the hour to see Michele for all our family’s needs and we don’t need to worry! They take their time to do what’s best for your hair. They don’t force you to buy anything you don’t need. They listen and they remember. We drive an hour for hair cuts at Studio 44 and are never disappointed. They have all the precautions in place for these times that we are in. And we are so appreciative for their love and care. :) 🙏🏽💜

I went to get my hair done. She told me all that was wrong. I dyed my hair and bleached it too, and she told me that my hair was really bad but and she told me not to bleach it or dye it anymore so go with my hair and then she’s gonna go, oh my God, I love your hair. Michelle is so nice.

Highly Recommend. My experience was awesome! I went from long to a short pixie😎 Michelle greeted me with a smile and listened to me as I showed her various images of what I was looking for. That's a huge transition and she nailed it🤩 She is gifted with those scissors ✂️ and her heart is made of gold💛 I was able to donate my hair to children with hairloss. I'm beyond happy with my decision to trust Michelle.

Absolutely amazing 👏 Justin booked me and cut and styled my hair. He was not only so informative but, also really listened and asked me questions before doing anything. I also love that he asked before putting products in my hair! Like how considerate! So easy going and made me feel so comfortable while still being a perfect perfessional. I love my hair and I'm Never going anywhere else!

I made a same day appointment. They ran right on time. I had a picture in my head and Justin executed it perfectly. I am so happy with my cut. Justin and the rest of the staff were very pleasant and the salon was clean and bright.

Michelle is absolutely amazing!!!! Took me 27 years to find the perfect hairdresser!! I used to go every 2 years for a haircut. But because of her expertise I go every 8 weeks now!!! And she cuts it dry how I like it. My hair is curly so if it's wet I can't see the actual finished product. I love how she tells me what I'm doing wrong and how I'm damaging my hair. I'm getting better every visit lol. And just a dry cut out the door with tip is only about 46 bucks! Can't beat that!

Didn’t receive baby highlights and the placement of the money piece was off . The color of the highlights were yellow & had to come back and pay extra for the toner .

Love getting my hair cut here. Justin does an amazing job. Yesterday was my husband's first time there. He hadn't had a haircut in over a year. Michelle made hime look civilized and human again. They do a great job.

I now travel over 50 miles from my present home along the Connecticut shore line, a trip that takes no less than an hour to arrive. I have not, nor will not allow anyone else to style my hair except for Michele. When you find the perfect ARTISTS and someone who takes personal pride in their craft, you should not mess with perfection! On top of her skill as an expert stylists, Michele is a wonderful soul to know as a person. You will not find a better place to get your style on than in a seat at Studio44. "Don't doubt me."

Went here for the first time for my daughter’s haircut. She’s only 2 but has a ton of hair and is very timid. Justin was great with her - so kind and patient - and she got a cut she loves. I’ll definitely be back!

I work close to this salon and read online reviews which were pretty good ( which now I believe aren't legit) anyways I went there for my hair cut. I was very clear about how I want my haircut just to make sure I shower the hairdresser the picture of the haircut, how I wanted to get my hair cut. But the guy didn't stop and kept on cutting my hair I tried to stop him but I don't know what was he thinking he literally chopped off all my hair. And then comes blow-dry that was even worst. My hair looks complete mess 😭 It doesn't look like I got it done by a professional rather it looks like some 5 year old was cutting my hair . I am so depressed I have not only paid the big amount of money but I also lost my hair It was the worst experience of my life I hope it doesn't happen to anyone.

Well worth it! I had a great experience. Justin gave me a beautiful cut that revived my hair! He was an absolute sweetheart and was great conversation. Great environment filled with great people!!
