Definitely lgbtq+ and nuerodivergent friendly. First salon I've been to with different options on stimuli. Both stylist are very nice and will walk you through what they are going to do to achieve your request.

I am beyond grateful I found Studio Strange and Lacey. It was one of the best haircut experiences I have ever had. Lacey listened intently to what I wanted and then took time to explain options to achieve it. I had half of my head shaved for the past five years and started growing it back out a few months back. I wanted a cut and style that look intentional rather than awkwardly transitional, and she delivered. I love my haircut and have gotten so many compliments on it as well. Thank you Lacey!

I came in for my first visit here to get my mullet refreshed and I could not possibly be happier with the results as well as the service I received! Kia made me feel extremely welcome, the whole experience was exactly what I've been looking for in a salon. I will absolutely be back!

This was the most comfortable and confident I have felt getting my hair cut in a long time! I wanted a mullet and Lacey listened to everything I asked for. Great conversation and my hair is now my favorite thing about myself! If you are queer and looking for a safe space to get your hair done in Nashville, I highly recommend!

Kai is always so nice and helpful every time I visit. My hair always feels great afterwards and they always give me tips for dealing with my curly hair. I also appreciate that they give me reasonably priced products to try out and work within my budget.

Was looking for a safe space to get my hair cut after moving to the area from out of state. After reading google reviews, I landed here. Friendly and professional service with added benefit of not having to worry about being judged for wanting a men’s haircut was totally worth it. Would 💯 recommend if looking for lgbtquia+ focused atmosphere!

Was recommended Studio Strange by a coworker—and I’m so glad I followed through! My first experience consisted of a new haircut that I love and excellent recommendations for how to keep healthier hair. In addition to the delightfully spooky environment which was fun and unique, Lacey made me feel comfortable enough that I went ahead and booked another appointment for coloring—my first time ever in my life! Love my new look and happy that I’ve found a salon that I feel comfortable to try new things. 🖤

Finding stylists can be such a challenge for LGBTQ+ people and Kai absolutely knocked it out of the park from the start. They did a fantastic job with my shaggy overgrown hair that I'd been putting off getting cut for months and I feel like myself again. He gave me a cut that feels low maintenance and something I can grow into, not one that needs upkeep every week to look perfect. The environment was friendly and peaceful and I felt great about asking for changes or giving honest feedback about my hair. I'm excited to come back and recommend queer friends here as well

I met Kai today for a haircut and had a phenomenal time!! My concerns were heard and thought out solutions were given. Absolutely loved the one on one time I got. The private and welcoming environment is like hanging out in your best friends bedroom after school. 1000000/10 truly recommend.

I was specifically searching for a queer-friendly salon and stumbled upon their website. I wanted something fun like a mohawk and when I arrived here the salon space is so cute, love the dark spooky vibes, and the stylists both seem really nice and knowledge. Even left with some products after voicing concerns about my damaged hair from coloring and bleaching. Thanks, Lacey!

Studio Strange is a very special place. It is a safe haven for everyone but especially for the LGBTQ+ and neurodiverse communities. I wish that this place had existed when I was younger because it would've helped me feel more comfortable and confident in my skin as a teenager. Regardless, I feel so grateful and lucky to have found Kai and Studio Strange. The first time I got my hair cut with Kai she was with a different business. The hair cut was a very big deal as I had long hair past my shoulders and wanted a buzz cut. She treated me with so much respect, understanding, and sincerity that I followed her to Studio Strange two years later. She did a great job on my most recent hair cut last month and I can tell she is very intuitive with styling. It is so cool that Studio Strange only books a single client at a time so that it is just you and your stylist in the room and you know you are their sole focus the entire time. Also, I love that they give you the option of having silent or low stimulus appointments. As long as I live in Nashville, I won't be going to any other stylist ever again!

Studio Strange was epic. From the moment you arrive, your greeted with a friendly atmosphere. The place is small and cozy, the stylist are skilled and I felt very comfortable. Though I did not get a color treatment, I witnessed one while I was there. The end result was fantastic. Give this place a try!

Kai was so amazing, and we will 100% be back. My 16 yo has had the hardest time finding a salon that would actually give them a cut and style they love, and FINALLY we have a found the perfect place! Kai listens and is so incredibly knowledgable about current hair trends, and she have a wonderful way with clients. A happy teen is the best review!

The best hair cut I have ever had. As a woman with curly hair, no one has known what to do with my hair (I certainly didn't). I sought a professional opinion and taking my own requirements into consideration, studio strange supported me in feeling safe cutting off more than two inches of my hair. It was more than worth it! My hair is now the best it can be with the least amount of effort, thank you!

This salon was such an awesome find! My 11 year old daughter wanted the Gwen Stacy haircut(Spiderverse), and was not disappointed! Kai is knowledgeable, professional and easy to talk to. They made us feel comfortable and at ease right away. They listened to exactly what my daughter wanted and made sure that she was comfortable with the length of the style. We really enjoyed our time at the salon! My daughter is beside herself excited about her new do! We will definitely be regular clients after our experience today!

This was 100% the BEST experience I've had at a hair salon. Kai listened to what I wanted and worked (so patiently) with me to get amazing results. I have curly hair and have really struggled to find a salon that is both trustworthy and knowledgeable. They took the time to go through all the variations on the style I wanted and even did a quick and flawless alteration when I decided I wanted something a little bolder. He was welcoming, empathetic, and did a FANTASTIC job. I will definitely be back, and I'll be booking an appointment with Lacey for my partner, too!

I have been searching for a good stylist for years. Someone who was willing to work with textured hair, is an excellent color specialist and is warm and wonderful to work with. Lacey was so thorough and did exactly what I asked for my hair. She is also just a great person and enjoyed chatting with her. I love the way my hair turned out. The pink was so bright and she covered all my greys. Definitely recommend!
