I photographed a wedding that used Studio One and everyone looked great! The Bride, Sarah, got her hair done at the salon before heading to the venue. Sarah's hair complimented her face and dress so well and it stayed literally perfect throughout the entire wedding. Great work!

Studio One made hair and makeup for my august '24 wedding a breeze! I was a little late to book my appointments and was unusually getting married on a Thursday, they went out of their way to squeeze my room, sister, SIL and I into their schedule. I am not usually a hair and makeup girl, but the services I received were so amazing. My hair stylist, Larissa, was more than happy to adjust when I completely changed the style I wanted after my trial. And she killed it, my ceremony site involved a hike and then there was a lot of wind! My hair stayed perfect the whole night- I wish I had a better picture to show her amazing work. My make-up artist, Sarah, literally slayed my request for natural glam-ish look. My make-up lasted the whole night and never felt heavy- I also felt exactly like myself, which is what I asked for! I could not recommend this business and these girls more, they made the start of my wedding day so fun! Included dog pic for Sarah:)

I had a fabulous experience with Amanda and Studio One, doing the hair for my wedding in July 2024! She was professional and friendly and did a fantastic job on my (and my wedding party's) hair! I did a half-up, half-down style, and it turned out exactly as I had hoped (possibly even better?!), I felt so beautiful and it lasted all day/night, despite it being an outdoor summer wedding, with a smidge of rain at one point, and me being a bit of a sweaty gal ;-) I am so glad I trusted her with this big day, and I cannot recommend Amanda enough!

Studio one did such an amazing job with my bridesmaids and me. Amanda did our hair and Sarah did our makeup and it was such an great experience. They kept the atmosphere calm and relaxing. We all loved our hair and makeup which kept up with us with probably the hottest wedding you could imagine during a heat storm. I would absolutely suggest them for your wedding!

I've been there a few times with mixed results. This time I booked both a wax and haircut back to back. I was called about 20 minutes before my appointment started, they asked if I could come in early since they were busy and there was prom coming up. I did my best to get there early, but everything was still very rushed. I got the wax first, and even though I told the stylist multiple times that I had allergies to the aftercare products and to just use wax only, she forgot and used a product on my eye when my eyes were closed for the eyebrow wax, and now my face is swollen on my right side. The actual haircut was good, but I scheduled a shampoo and blow dry and it was so rushed that my hair wasn't fully dry, was frizzy and had to be re-washed and re-styled when I got home. I usually do a quick dry cut because I usually donate my hair, but I decided to treat myself to a hair trim/blow dry and eyebrow wax this time since I'm pregnant and hoped it would be a relaxing experience but it was the opposite. I may go back for a haircut - I do like the hair stylist and the cuts are fine - she does seem experienced, but I'll make sure it's at a slow time and not book any extras or waxing.

I booked with Studio One for my wedding in May and they did such a great job! There were 10 of us (bride, bridesmaids & flower girl) and I loved how everyone's hair and makeup turned out. I personally had Kristen for hair, and Sarah for makeup and both were awesome. They made the whole experience fun and comfortable, and everything stayed put for me and my girls throughout the day/night. Super happy with them, definitely recommend!

I have gotten my nails done here consistently for 3 months and I could not be happier with this salon. All the ladies at the front desk are very friendly with scheduling and when the owner overheard me struggling with finding a time to come in when I didn’t have my son, she offered for me to bring him in during my appointment. I took her up on this offer and the girls here were so kind to him. Meghan does my nails and now, will be cutting my hair. I am so happy I made the switch to this salon for my hair and nails, and if you’re looking for a place where everyone is kind, patient and understands the look you are going for, studio one is that place!

I’ve gotten my hair cut there many times because the price is reasonable and the staff is friendly. I’ve always been happy with my haircut as well. Scheduling with them is very easy even though I’m a little last minute with this I always get a time that works for me. Highly recommended!

Kate and Cara did an amazing job for makeup for my wedding! They did me plus 9 other women. They were on time, easy to talk to, and did beautiful natural makeup. Could not have felt more relaxed and beautiful on my big day thanks to them and Studio One! Would 100% recommend.

Fab salon. The owner Amanda and her entire staff are great; happy and attentive with a twist of experienced intuition as to what you're looking for. Love that you can just sit there peacefully relaxing without having to keep up any small talk and "wash away" the chaos of the day for at least a bit.

Great atmosphere, Covid protocols followed and I received a great cut from Deanna M. She is new there and her supervisor helped teach her a better way to do something. Nice team work. Friendly staff and very clean. I will return here regularly for Deanna. Can’t wait for a pedicure!

Hannah is the BEST. I moved up from the city a few years ago and am very picky about my hair. Hannah has been my hairdresser since I moved and I will go no where else but Studio One to see her. I also got a braid/blowout by Jamie which was so beautiful. I always get compliments on my hair - all thanks to Studio One!

I went today for the first time ever and had Amanda. Oh my gosh, I have never been happier about a a haircut!!! I told her I wanted a shoulder cut with layers, she recommended a length that would work really well with the layers....and like magic she gave me EXACTLY what I was hoping for!! I was recommended this place by my roommate when she went for her birthday a couple of weeks ago, and she came home with this GORGEOUS, transformative cut. I knew the second I saw her that I HAD to come here, and I am so glad that I did. I will be coming here for all of my hair needs from now on. Amanda, again, thank you so much!!!

I have been a patron of Studio One since moving to the Hudson Valley almost 20 years ago. Kristen is my go-to girl for fresh, healthy cuts, donating my locks and amazing updos, like for my 25th wedding anniversary. She even weaved in ribbons in my favorite color-purple-I hated to take it down! I like Jerry for friendly, beautiful service on manicures, and Amanda is a terrific owner. She cut my two boys hair until they got too old for a “salon.” LOL. I am a loyal fan!

The owner read my review and went out of her way to contact me within an hour of leaving and offered to personally fix my hair. I’ve been going to Studio One since I moved to New Paltz over 6 years ago - they even did hair and makeup for my wedding and my bridal party! Their work is top notch. Everyone there is friendly and accommodating. I always leave looking and feeling great. I see Hannah for my cut/color and she’s amazing at what she does. I highly recommend this salon and Hannah in particular for your color needs!
