I wouldn’t recommend this salon for regular haircuts and coloring. I got curtain bangs and my hair dyed black and the color literally washed out within the month, and the hair cut looked awful after 2 weeks. The hospitality and atmosphere was great but as for the quality/skills of hair styling/coloring, my expectations weren’t met. I don’t know which type of dye the owner uses but it just seems cheap for the amount I paid and tipped.

Elliot was amazing! I don’t get my hair done as often as I should because the person cutting my hair either cannot do what I want or make me feel bad about the state of my hair. They worked fast and gave me EXACTLY what I’ve been looking for, and not to mention their demeanor was so professional and welcoming. I’m absolutely obsessed with their studio too; I finally feel like I have found a place I can continue to go back to and have full faith that I will be taken care of each time. 🩷

I felt so welcomed and truly heard for once. I’ve always struggled with where to schedule my next haircut but Elliot did such an amazing job tackling my thick hair and capturing the look I was hoping for. I wholeheartedly recommend.

I get my hair cut here all the time. Elliot is queer friendly and always has something fun on to watch. I get pretty simple haircuts, but they do a great job—I get compliments on my hair often. I went to get my hair cut today because I’m leaving for the summer and there is no one else who cuts my hair the way I want it!

The very first (and only) salon I've been to for a haircut; I have sensory issues and generally don't like being touched by other people but Elliot was so amazing and did a wonderful job of making me feel comfortable. I've gone to their salon twice in the past few months and have nothing but positive words to say, they do an amazing job on my hair and is so cool about me bringing my own products (I have a bad allergy to silica). 💜10/10 experience

I chose this salon because it advertised as "LGBT hair cut friendly," which appealed to me as I've been struggling with depression for the past two years and sought a supportive environment. I made an appointment and arrived early, not wanting to be late. However, upon their arrival, the staff seemed annoyed by my presence, although I made sure not to rush them. This was my first visit to a salon in a long time, motivated by my desire for a new lifestyle, but the experience fell completely short of my expectations. Despite my efforts to be polite, I didn't feel welcomed at all, to the point where I considered leaving. I'm reviewing now to inform others that this salon's welcoming atmosphere may be inconsistent, despite the positive reviews it has received. Now, I visit more typical salons that, while not specifically catering to the LGBT community, are welcoming and professional. I'm much happier with these experiences than the experience I had with this place 2 yrs ago.

Just went to see Elliott for the first time, and they did EXACTLY what I wanted. They knew exactly what I wanted, made me feel comfortable, and didn’t make me feel weird for getting a traditional men’s haircut. 10/10 will definitely be going back.

Elliot did a great job. I haven't had unusual color in my hair since high school. It's been a long time and I was nervous. But Elliot did a great job! they made me comfortable they did exactly what I wanted and it turned out exactly like I imagined it in my mind. I will definitely be going back.

Elliot is amazing! She is always my top choice for my hair since I moved to Gainesville two years ago. She dyed my hair so perfectly with patience because I have A LOT OF HAIRS. She surprised me with some ash tone, I can’t love it anymore. Highly recommend Studio Midnight if need to get your hair done without disappointment <3

Elliot is great! I am always happy with their work. I have been getting my hair cut at Studio Midnight for over a year and I have been happy with the cut every time. The location is convenient and the parking is ample. I highly recommend!

Elliot is talented, kind and knowledgeable. They provide excellent hair care services and do a good job making everyone feel welcome. I went here right after a wicked bad hair cut from a supercut and Elliot was reassuring, provided a couple solutions and gave me a cut I love even more than before. I've been coming for half a year now and bring my entire family!! The studio is comfortable and relaxing and even tho I'm super awkward Elliot does a great job making me and my family feel welcome. 10000/10 best place around.

I LOVED their studio, their vibe, and the cute shop kitty! They did an amazing job shaping my mop of hair into a much more manageable pixie cut. Very affordable and I highly Recommend!!

I forgot to leave a review when I got my haircut a few months ago but studio midnight is amazing! Elliot is fantastic in every way, they were super nice and made me feel so comfortable. As a queer person I always hate having to get my hair done because of being judged but I didn’t have to worry about that here. I would definitely recommend Elliot!

I was tired of going to the hair cut chains and leaving with that "eh, it's ok" feeling. And I'm not one for some fancy, schmancy, overpriced salon (which I've also tried and wasn't comfortable or happy). My daughter recommended Elliot. I was pleasantly surprised and got lots of compliments on my haircut. I'll definitely be going back because I feel I finally found an experienced stylist who listens in a comfortable setting at a reasonable price!

I went to studio midnight because of the good reviews, and I left extremely disappointed. Eliot was far more apathetic than anyone who is supposed to help you feel good about the way you look should ever be. Not only did my haircut look nothing like what I'd discussed with them beforehand, (I asked for something between a bob and pixie, and received a full pixie) it was also uneven. I wanted so badly to love this place, but instead of asking me what I was okay with during my haircut, Eliot was watching true crime. After warning them about my new piercing they proceeded to catch it with their comb minutes later. Most importantly, when I went to them for an affirming haircut, they discounted my input and left me incredibly sad with the way I look. I would never recommend it. Find someone else.

I'll never go anywhere else to get my hair done. Elliot does an amazing job every time. They really make an effort to listen to your specific needs, and are so kind / responsive. I don't ever leave reviews, but Studio Midnight really deserves the attention. 10/10 no doubt!

I'm a woman with a "man's" haircut, so finding a stylist who respects my request for such a short length can be a challenge. I had been going to some of the more well-known (and more expensive) queer friendly stylists for the last year or so for my short haircut, but I just couldn't afford it anymore. Which is why I'm so happy I found Elliot! Got the exact cut I wanted in less than 30 minutes for a great price!! Wowwie-zowwie!!!!

I waited a week to leave a review because y’all know how it is… you leave a salon looking and feeling great but after the first wash or trying to style it yourself you discover your haircut actually sucked lol. ELLIOTT DOES NOT SUCK!! We’ll definitely be back. Wonderful and comfortable salon experience.

Love love love my haircut! Studio is beautiful and comfortable and Elliot put on a Wednesday episode which was fun. They were very attentive to what I was looking for in my pixie cut and had me check the cut multiple times to make sure I liked it. Very affordable as well for excellent quality. Will be coming back for sure and they have a loyalty card :)

Studio Midnight is it! Elliot, the owner stylist, is wonderful. The studio is super cute and scheduling is a snap! I’ve taken both of my kids here. I recently had my hair cut here as well. Elliot takes great care with clients for an overall great styling experience!! Cannot recommend enough!🔮🕸

When I saw a flyer for Studio Midnight, I immediately knew I’d be comfortable expressing the relationship between my hair style and my self-identity. I was right! Elliot encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone without pressuring me to go in any one direction. They did an incredible job in so many ways, and I would recommend their services to anyone no matter what style or modifications they’re looking for. The environment was welcoming, fun, and relaxing. I have never been happier with my hair and am looking forward to the next appointment we have together! I truly cannot thank them enough for helping me feel more comfortable being me.
