I scheduled a wash and trim yesterday at 12:30 with COURTNEY. Not only did she come 30 minutes late and was doing my hair and the other clients hair at the same time but I was literally watching my hair rip out as she de tangled my hair DRY WITH NO CONDITIONER and continued to tell me I’m tenderheaded even tho IM NOT. She continued to hand me the comb and she stood there irritated and after all that had the nerve to turn the screen to ask for a tip? SHE SUCKS and she made my experience as a black woman TERRIBLE

Let's just say my hair looked like Beetlejuice when I walked in for a consultation with Shanita. I walked out with a bouncey, flowing, colored bob. The funny thing is I had driven by this salon countless times, not realizing the answer to my natural hair dilemma was a stones throw away. Shanita is a true professional who knows hair. I have been looking for a natural hair stylist for over a year, and now I have found her. Thank you, Shanita!

The owner seems very arrogant and downplayed my insecurities about my hair loss. I only went in for a consultation and left feeling worse than when I came in....but, against my better judgment, I tried one more time. This was an appointment for a haircut with the owner, who pawned me off on another stylist once I arrived. That was the end for me. I doubt I will be going to any other salon because I felt so bad after this experience.

I am a fairly new customer. I am a morning person. I love the fact that Shanita is available as early as 5 am. My first visit I was nervous about the time. Shanita not only cut and styled my hair to my satisfaction, she got me out on time. I enjoy every time I have an appointment. Friendly, professional with a girlfriend positive vibe. Shanita has been my stylist for many years. This salon is bright and peaceful. Shanita is always in a great mood and her professionalism never wavers. In my opinion, she is a color master. I recently got a trim with hi lights on my natural hair. Although apprehensive about too much heat, she listened and gave me just what my fine hair needed…tender loving care. Wonderful, gentle assistant too.

Shanita, Studio A’s owner did my hair and I loved the entire experience. She’s super friendly, and respected my time! I also appreciated how she used special shampoos & conditioners to help with my dry scalp. I showed Shanita a pic of the style I wanted and she took it to the next level. Shanita also had the BEST ATTITUDE when I asked for a flip here & there. Some people get impatient, but she was intentional about making sure I was happy with my style and hair cut! To top it off, at the end of my appointment, she just scooped me up by saying “I’m taking you under my wing now!” 👀 What! IAMSOLD! She has a new customer in me AND both of my daughters!! Customer service is everything in this very competitive hair industry. She definitely EARNED my business + a 20% tip, which I am selective about!

Showed up for an appointment made weeks earlier and no one was at the store. Tried calling and no one answered and voicemail was full... edit: owner reached out and was apologetic about the miscommunication. I have been invited back and will edit the review upon using this business.

Studio A has been flexible with scheduling my appointments. Courtney has styled my hair in rod sets and a silk press and she has been timely and professional. She made appropriate recommendations to help with the health and styling of my hair.

I have been going to Shanita at Studio A salon for about 6 months now! I have always been picky about who does and takes care of my hair as “hair care” is very important to me! Shanita is amazing! I do not say that lightly. My hair is super hydrated and has grown so much since I started going to her! The salon is also very clean and she has proper Covid protocols in place. Going in to see her is a relaxing experience she I highly recommend her and her entire team!
