As an employee for sports clips I had a nightmare experience at this Location which spread like fire to other Tyler locations including to customers. A stylist here was bringing her child to work during the summer and hiding him in the back office. One day while I was doing my maintenance job at this Location the young child was looking out the backdoor at my car which kids love and the mother freaked out saying I was doing something weird , never heard her exact suspicion , but was yelling on the sales floor in front of customers a bunch of nonsense. This lead to grown men coming in the back where I was working looking me dead in the eye like I was a child predator. This was just the the begining , it gets deep. This followed me to other locations where the treatment of myself turned hateful to the point I could hear stylist and customers gossiping about me not knowing I could hear them . This went on for a couple of months and came to a final point where I injured my hand on the job , had to have emergency surgery at Christus in Tyler and was in the hospital four days with $20,000 in medical bills. Two weeks later I was back at work with an open wound to the bone , which I had to change dressings daily, cleaning out stopped up drains full of bacteria and getting talked to by the owner Cheston Syma like I was trash.One particular comment when I mentioned my injury during a heated discussion he said I needed to "Suck it up". The moto of sports clips employees is to treat everyone with the qualities of a champion. What I experienced from this branch of the franchise starting at the top was anything but and right in line with every quality of workplace bullying I read about on Linkedin. In our world today we need to support platforms that are not focused on money as their God ruling their employees with excessive micromanagement and fear. Don't take my word but do your own research. I have an attorney and a huge lawsuit potential but that would get handled quietly and nothing would change. So I'm finding creative ways to make a difference with my truth. I am a 58 yr male with a rare form of Terminal Leukemia just trying to work till I cannot. Lord knows I could use the money but my heart is centered on a higher power and purpose. My prayer is that my actions and words make a positive difference and when I'm gone someone may think back to all this an remember it in a way that inspires hope. Got the absolute worst haircut of my life here today from samantha at the sports clips in lindale. Told her I wanted the sides and back trimmed and nothing off the top. I walked in with 6 inches of hair, walked out with a buzz cut all over pretty much, other than the one long patch of hair that was hanging off the very back that she missed,probably have a 1/4 inch of hair left on the top, walked out of there looking like a dog with mange. She also buzzed the hair right above my ears way too high, probably 2 inches above my ears, everything below that is bald. She doesn’t listen and definitely doesn’t know how to cut hair. I have no idea why she is even allowed to touch a pair of scissors. I have been going there for my haircuts the last several years about twice a month and it’s been great. The girls that normally cut my hair had a long wait so i let her do it, i’m really regretting that decision and i’m sure i will be for the next several months until it grows out again. don’t let samantha touch your hair. Still had to pay for my haircut after she ruined it completely. Cant say enough bad things about my experience with her. She was also extremely uncomfortable and awkward to be around. after she ruined my hair i asked her to just buzz it all off and she refused. REALLY! Had to go home and do it myself. I specifically asked her not to cut anything off the top, not even a trim, just the sides and back. She’s never cut my hair before so i didn’t trust her to trim the top. She absolutely scalped me, terrible terrible hairdresser. Beyond angry with this experience

Very good place! There’s a young woman there named Jade and she’s very kind and very polite. I would highly recommend her for cutting hair because she pays attention to detail and she seems to be a little bit of a perfectionist in a positive way that will make you smile. She does a wonderful job! 🇺🇸🦅

Jordan cut my son’s hair today. Service seemed rushed despite being the only ones in there for half the cut… she was rude from the jump. Overly rough and it seemed she was annoyed to be cutting my son’s hair. I don’t know if she doesn’t like cutting kids hair 🤷‍♀️ … but if you don’t just don’t work there.. not sure why she would make an experience that a 5 year old loved something like that. He asked me multiple times in the car why she was so mean and rough..not happy with the cut.. I just said sure so we could leave. Asked for a fade.

Typically a pretty tough experience at this location. Stylist are usually in a hurry. I got a 5 ⭐️ cut today from Jade! Took her time to ask questions and explain what she was seeing and doing. Will definitely be back to see her.

Tami is an excellent stylist!! She cut my son's hair perfectly !! The best hair cut I think he's had in a long time. She was sweet and polite. She did the hot towel and special treatment for him bc it was his first time there . I will be back for her services for sure !!!

This was probably the absolute best fade haircut I have ever gotten. I have lived in 3 states in the US and 2 other countries as well as traveled for work significantly and I can say hands down Rosie is the best of all of them. Great skills, excellent service, overall incredibly positive experience.

The stylist cut my son’s hair too fast and did not give my son a precision cut as they advertise. She also left a patch of hair by son’s ear. She was not friendly and did not greet customers as they came in. Upon checking out, her only question was “are you good?” I still tipped her. I will make sure not have her cut my son’s hair again. I understand being tired maybe. Having a long day maybe. But I have always preferred this location over others closer to me. I am dissapointed with my son’s haircut.

Tami fixed my son’s hair from a bad cut he got someplace else. She was very knowledgeable and compassionate. My son went from unhappy to leaving with the best haircut he has ever had. We could not have been more happy! Tami did a fantastic job!

Amanda is definitely the best one there. She gets my hair exactly how I want it every single time. I am very picky about my hair but she does whatever it takes to get it exactly the way I like it. She is the reason why I return every single week!! Thank you Mandy!! 👍👍

Took my 2 year old son up here for a haircut and Mandy did a phenomenal job and is great with kids. She has been my personal stylist for years and the best I know. Her fun loving personality makes getting a haircut a fun experience every time! Definitely recommend.

Found this place on Sunday by accident after shopping at Lowes in Lindale. Great service, great people. Hilda gave me a great haircut. This was my first visit there. I will definitely go back.

Husband gets his hair cut here. Chelsea is a great stylist, beautician, barber. Whatever they are called. However, I would recommend her for anyone. She is the greatest hair cutting person we have been to in Lindale

I got a real nice haircut then hair wash and back massage for reasonable price. The most important thing is they know what they’re doing . Ask for Mandy or Rosy they are the best . WILL BE BACK

I have been coming to this location now for a few years and I must say that Mandy does an absolutely fantastic job every time I come in! I had my haircut buy a different Barber once and I mistake was made that required my hair be cut very short, much shorter than I expected or wanted. Mandy noticed and came out from her break and helped salvage my cut. She's a great conversationalist, very interesting person, and a talented artist that goes above and beyond every time I come in.

I've been here twice. Count on my return visits. They cut my hair and trim my beard just the way I like it. The hairstyles were different, but both were perfect. Yeah, I'll be back. By the way, I've enjoyed a good conversation with both stylists!

My complaint comes from the ridiculous prices on the hair products and the way it was added to my bill without being told it was $30 for a small tin of hair paste, over all it was quickly added up and they used the "Assumed Close" method and it left a bad taste in my mouth. My hair cut was worth the money, but businesses that swindle product and don't disclose the price are hoping you don't notice until it's too late or feel faulsly obligated.

The atmosphere is fantastic and everyone does a great job. Mandy does a fantastic job cutting my hair, always getting it right!. My only complaint is that it is really hot in the store. I can't remember a time where it was cool and not scorching hot

Took my son in to get a haircut, I showed the stylist (Shirmara) a picture of how my son gets his haircut, and she confirmed she was able to do it. Needless to say, she was not able to cut his hair the way we asked (Medium skin fade). She even decided to part my son’s hair the way she believed it needed to be parted. We asked her to fix it, which she couldn’t, so we just left. After getting our son in the car we took his hoodie off of him and noticed scratches on his neck in places where his hair doesn’t go. Needless to say, we won’t be going back.
