Whitney is the best!! At another salon I received a bad color and my hair was dyed black instead of brown. Whitney gave me several options and was able to fix it in one sitting. I feel comfortable getting pictures and video made at work now. Whitney is very fair in pricing and flexible with scheduling. I highly recommend Whitney and look forward to her being my new stylist. She’s the best!!!

I absolutely adore my stylist here!! I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. I've lived in Sarasota since 1968 and have seen a lot of salons. I'm never leaving Whitney. Tell her Leslie sent you!

I took my Mom to her appt and she didn't have to wait long. Susi is so good with my Mom in cutting and styling her thick head of hair. And Susi shows that she cares a lot about my Mom, which I can appreciate.

Made an appointment over a week ago for 2 Haircuts. Showed up on time for our appointments. No one addressed or even looked at us after standing there for 15 minutes. After waiting for another 15 minutes I come to find out after speaking to the other people waiting that they took 2 walk-ins instead that walked in a couple minutes earlier. Called them on the phone and they don’t pick up.

Renee at Southern Roots Salon. STAY AWAY. Have been seeing her since December for color and trim. My hair was shoulder length. I went in with a picture today and asked if she could do it, if she couldn't to say so. I have straight hair. Have had it short most of my life. Hands me a mirror at the end. From a distance it looks fine. Up close. OMG. I have a bald spot where she cut way too short. It's choppy and wasn't blended midway down the back of my head. I sent her the pics my husband took and she says she did a good job! NEVER have I had to go for a 2nd cut to get my hair fixed or asked for my money back, but I did with this. I've got to go get it fixed and no idea how short it'll end up. The owner is concerned about her stylists and reputation of her salon but won't offer to fix it or give me a refund for a bad cut. I would let another stylist fix it, even the owner, but not the person who did this. She should be trying to redeem her salon if she's that concerned

Suzi is the best! She’s so sweet and personable. She’s the only person we have found that knows how to cut curly hair. My son won’t go anywhere else.

Almost anywhere I go when I asked for a short trim, they either do too much or too little. But this place did a perfect job quickly! Exactly what I wanted. Definitely would go back again!

I love everything about this salon, from the pleasant greetings from all the staff, to my stylist, Kylie. She really knows hair color and when I brought some pictures of what I wanted in a cut, she knew how to incorporate the look and make it my own.

I didn’t really like this place I told the lady I wanted to dye my hair and she was so judge mental .she told me that it would be distracting and ruin my hair and I should keep my hair pretty. Honestly I didn’t care what she thinks but I was the customer at least give me some respect. You can go to this salon if you want but keep in mind you will be judged.

This is one of those rare occurrences where I almost want to leave a bad review so I can keep this little gem all to myself but I can't. Suzie was an absolute pleasure to work with, she took her time to really get to know not just myself but my hair as well. She was patient and explained everything she was going to do, educated me about some new techniques, and helped me come up with a "hair" plan that works for me. Sorry to say this Suzie but you're stuck with me for the long haul.
