I received very poor treatment at Snyper. I walked in with long hair, set up an appointment for a trim and later that day when I returned for the appointment AMARA greeted me very rudely and ended up cutting all my long hair off and completely unevenly without asking. The bad attitude was passive aggressive so it was hard to detect at first. Aside from her absolutely not listening to what I asked for her conversation skills about her "stay at home" husband were a bit awkward and uncomfortable, and while we didn't discuss politics something gave me the feeling that she is not happy with the recent change in politics and takes it out on people she perceives to have different perspectives than her, and I can't help but wonder if this bad haircut she gave me might have been on purpose. When I showed the haircut to other stylists in our out of town family and friend group they couldn't believe it. After thinking about it a few days I decided to reach out to Rob the owner of Snyper to see if he wanted to see how bad and opposite the haircut was from what I requested, but he hasn't bothered responding to my several requests to speak with him or my review. If I felt the treatment and the poorly executed haircut I received were an accident or if I’d heard back from the owner I wouldn’t have bothered writing a review but it's pretty upsetting after growing it out for years just to have it cut it off without asking. Amara, if this horrible haircut was actually an accident then I'm sorry, but I recommend you go back to school and work with long hair more, but If you did it on purpose karma is going to get you if it hasn't already. To the owner ROB, my advice to you as an owner of multiple businesses is that you should respond to clients who feel you may have an unprofessional, prejudicial employee on your hands who may not be acting in your best interest. Instead you've hid and it doesn't give off a very professional or community vibe. It gives off worm. Feel free to let me know if you have any thoughts on the matter, and maybe consider taking the word “salon” out of your business name. This is not a salon if you can’t cut long hair. This is a barbershop run by an absentee owner and a group of women who are probably fine with buzz cuts and side-parts but apparently nothing more. In summary this place is over-priced, and the service and attitude and environment is trash. If I wanted to be overcharged, and stereo-typed by some blue-haired clowns I'd go to a starbucks in San Francisco... that type of elitist attitude and way of doing business doesn't belong in waterloo. I'm sorry to say but AMARA needs help. Either more training or psychological, and Rob the owner needs to man up and get more involved.

Amara is always super friendly and does great on my boys hair! I have an autistic son and she is always so kind and takes her time with him to make sure he is doing ok while cutting his hair.

After the best haircut of my life I felt compelled to leave a review. I didn't just leave Snyper Salon with a fresh new cut. But a new outlook on life. I am good enough. The haircut Emily provided me gave me the confidence to go into my bosses office and ask for that raise. Did I get the raise? No. Did I earn my bosses respect? No. Did he ask me to get back to work and never walk into his office again without a scheduled meeting? Well... Yeah...that part happened. Thank you Emily. Your haircut gave me what I needed to be the best version of me.

Emily at Snyper in Waterloo IL Is easy to schedule with and does a great job with my hair. I like to have a design in my undercut and she is thoughtful and talented. She is not afraid to do a simple design or try something a little more creative. In the time that I have seen her over the past couple of years, her skills have gotten even sharper. It's nice to see someone having fun and growing their talents. She is professional yet easy going and great to work with. I have referred several people to Emily at Snyper. Is a clean convenient place to have a haircut.

I take my brothers to Emily to get their haircut. She does an amazing job. They're quick appointments and she actually makes them bearable to talk to. Emily even figured out a style for one of them who has the flattest head.

The last two times I have brought my sons here the manager has completely ignored us when we walked in and not acknowledged us at all, even though she was right at the front. Meanwhile, other customers came and went while, and they were all treated kindly. Previous to this, we had had good experiences here. I will also add that the last two times we have been here we had booked with other stylists, other than the manager. Maybe this is just a coincidence that her rudeness coincided with this change, but, either way, it is not professional to ignore customers in your place of business, especially if you are the manager. However, Jenna was very friendly and kind. Not sure we will come back here anymore though. It feels like an unwelcome environment.

Jenna K is a pleasure to have as a barber. She's knowledgeable, upbeat, and will bring a smile to your face every time. The first time I walked in, I had no idea what I wanted to do with my hair or beard. She has a good eye for a style that will fit you perfectly. Cannot recommend her enough. Book with her and you will not be disappointed. Have been going to her for over 6mo and every time she does an outstanding job.

Haircuts are always on point, and if you don't like something they will fix it for you. Prices are fair and the services are awesome. Get the shampoo and cut, you won't regret it. Staff is friendly and the establishment is clean.

I'm a picky guy.. Jamie nails my cut perfectly and quick every 2 weeks. Ita flawless . Super friendly, i trust her. Works me in quickly when I miss schedule or late...I can't beat the prices here and all around it feels comfortable .

Told her I wanted my hair to my eyebrows and she goes way less than I said also she hangs up the phone when we make a complaint very rude and needs to learn to cut hair before doing it and listen to your cosomers

Walked in with my 4 year old to get his hair cut, was told they close in 45 minutes and had 4 appointments. Meanwhile they had more than 1 "stylist" (that's a stretch as the quality has gone way down) and open chairs. I'll be sure to never use Snyper again because of this. There are many other choices in waterloo that would be more than willing to make tike for a 4 year old.
