Sara did my makeup for my wedding in October and the results were beautiful. I had a great experience with her from trial to weeding! Her assistant did a wonderful job as well and all my bridesmaids were happy with the results. Sara is very sweet, professional and nice to talk to. Please consider booking her for you event!

HORRIBLE service from hair stylist Priscilla. I had my hair done colored blonde balayage a month ago by her and came back to have her add more highlights so the color reached my roots. She rushed through the whole bleaching experience bleached my hair in giant foils instead of doing highlights to have a dimensional hair color look. After washing and blow drying my hair half way. The front pieces of my hair were white and the rest of my hair was half white half yellow. She didn't say anything till I said why is the front pieces and other sections white. She then proceeded to say. I'm trying to see what we can do. She moves me to the washing station and I asked her what we can do to fix it because she's not giving me an idea of what is happening. And my hair feels fried. She says " we ran out of toner with the color I need to fix it and the store I go to is closed" then she is silent. She asks me to come back tomorrow after I have already been there over 7 hours. When I drove 40 min to get there. I had to tell her can we pls get toner from sally beauty to fix it today. I work tomorrow. Her demeanor was so off putting and not reassuring what so ever that she would fix my hair and she made a mistake. She ended up bleaching my hair 2 more times in one session and having to cut over 2 inches of my hair that I have been growing up for over. A year. She damaged my hair and didn't give me what I wanted at all and this situation was so stressful I was crying because pieces of my hair were falling out and she still charged me a lot of money. And only apologized after I was crying and so upset. I was there 10 hours to leave super unhappy. I was charged 440 and left the salon with dry yellow toned hair. And will have to spend even more to fix it. This is a warning so this doesn’t happen to you.

Not happy at all with the outcome of my hair or the service I got. Pricilla completely rushed my hair and I didn't even get a response when I reached out to her about it. My hair was left super frizzy, patchy and not blended well AT ALL. The pictures I showed had color starting from the roots and the top of my hair is still BLACK BLACK. She couldn't even explain technique or anything when I asked her, I should’ve known at that point. She assured she could simultaneously go back and forth between my friend and but completely failed at that. She left my friends hair two different colors and then stated she didn’t have the right products (LOL ok) I also felt rushed bc she booked someone after me. So between my friend and the person she has after I was completely brushed to the side and given no attention. $360 for a job I'm so extremely unhappy about. I would not recommend this place to anyone or this stylist.

Absolutely love Sara! She is such a bubbly person and she does an amazing job! I’ve been to many stylists and could never find “the one” and here I feel like I have! Thanks Sara! ❤️

Had my hair lightened by Sara. I was a bit nervous because of other experiences I have had with other stylists. My hair looked amazing and got so many compliments. My hair felt and looked healthy. Her prices were pretty reasonable as well. Definitely recommend her services.

I LOVE Sara and SJ Beauty Bar! She did all my bridesmaids, my mothers, and my hair for my wedding and it turned out so perfectly! I cannot thank her enough! I had a vision of an updo during my ceremony with florals and then taking half of it down for the reception. She absolutely brought my vision to life! She stayed and touched it up for me too. She went above and beyond! I constantly stare at my hair photos! Communication with her during the planning process was great too she never left me hanging! I will forever recommend Sara and her team!

I've been going to SJ Beauty Bar for about a year now. I went in the first time with a hot hot mess of a hair color. Sarah was so patient and really listened to what I wanted and guided me into safely transforming my hair. Thanks to her my hair is now the healthiest and prettiest! I sometimes look at my hair color and can't believe it's my hair ! Sarah is worth it!

I would definitely recommend this Salon its a very nice and clean place, Sara (owner) did an amazing job to my hair, she is very nice, professional and attentive. I’ve been looking for a really good hair salon in the area but nothing is good enough base on the reviews I’ve found on the internet. Luckily I found her on facebook and saw her work with different customers she had before. I will come again and this will be my go to salon from now on. Its affordable.

My experience was amazing… I got a haircut and a blowout, I felt like a new person. Her place is adorable and I love the environment. I got free coffee ☕️ and she allowed me to pick the music 🎶 I had a great time with Sara and I can’t wait to go back.

Okay let’s be honest people…getting your hair done it not cheap. Frankly it is very much a luxury and I can tell you that Sara is one of the most reasonable hairstylist in SCV who does amazing work and the prices aren’t as expensive as other salons. She walked me through the entire process and even answered all my questions truthfully and never tried to sell me short. Also….SHES GOT THE MOST AMAZING HAND! I truly recommend you get a hair wash from Sara it’s literally like a small vacation for scalp. Can’t wait to go back!

Sara (the owner) is absolutely amazing at what she does. You can tell she really cares about her clients. She always listens to what I want in terms of haircuts and I always leave loving my happy and healthy hair. I’ve also gotten makeup done by her for a shoot which also came out beautifully! Sara is the only person I trust with my hair! I have been getting my hair done with her for about 6-7 years and she always leaves my hair looking and feeling healthy. Everyone I have recommended to her always goes back to her.
