Sin's salon is amazing! I finally found a place where I can confidently close my eyes, let the magic unfold and open my eyes to see my hair cared for so tenderly and magnificently. This is *not* something I can do with any hair dresser.

Being Vietnamese, my hair is thick and straight and resistant to product. Most hairstylists I've visited have had little to no experience with Asian hairstyles and would cut it like it were a typical American haircut. That left me with very little ability to style my hair. Kacie recognized my hair type and textured it according to my hair type, which allows me to actually experiment with different hairstyles. Both my wife and my sister attest to how well Kacie did with texturing, thereby letting me mix up my hair from day to day compared to previously being stuck with the one style whatever hairstylist I chose cut my hair to match. I so appreciate my ability to actually style my hair in different ways now. Previously, I was left choosing between a middle part with my longer hair or with a regular comb-through with my shorter hair. Because Kacie textured my hair according to my hair type, I'm actually able to mix it up a bit and rock anything from combed straight back to middle part to bedhead and a bunch of other options that look good! Every other hairstylist I've been to has cut my hair to meet one hairstyle only.

My first appointment with Sin and he knew exactly how to cut and style my short pixie - and he took the time too teach me how to recreate the look at home. More than a pleasant experience! I'm sure to return AND refer to friends and family.

I got my 1st Brazilian Blow out. I was sick of the frizz. Done by JinHee. She was amazing and highly recommend. She was so kind and listen to my concerns to ensure it was the right route to go with my a hair.

We just had an amazing experience with Kacie. Big change haircut for my daughter and Kacie rocked it. She listened to all of her ideas and wants and she definitely delivered. My kiddo is so happy with her cut from long hair to shaggy "bixie" with highlights. Trust Kacie's creative genius, she knows what she's doing! The place has a fun comfortable vibe too. Definitely recommend.

I am so happy with my haircut I got this morning from Sin! He told me it was gonna be the best haircut I ever had and he wasn’t lying! I love it! He was also very personable and friendly. I will be going back for my next cut and maybe some color next time!

Sin gave me a great hair cut! I was a little nervous because I have curly hair, and I have gotten awful cuts before, but he was able to figure out exactly what my hair needed to keep length and give it volume!

Absolutely a top notch salon. I've been going here for over 10 years for a reason. They are very personable and know my style and exactly what I want. Even when I try a new cut, I barely have to explain it, they just understand and make it happen with my alternative style in mind.

Stumbled upon Sin Republic after Googling "Best Hair Salon in Grand Rapids" Sin is absolutely fabulous! Look no further for the best stylist in town. Sin made me feel at ease and instantly fixed the horrible hair cut I got in Ada. My hair is perfect and I will only trust my pretty locks with Sin!

I don't think I'll ever go anywhere else ever again. Kacie is incredible. Actually everyone that works there is incredible. Great atmosphere and I love every second im there. Very clean and professional yet fun and relaxed environment, which is a huge plus for me.

Kacie cut my hair and I thought she did an amazing job, she was very skilled and a lot of fun to talk with. The salon was also very clean and had a chill, casual, and welcoming atmosphere. Definitely going back when I need another cut :)

Go Here If You Want To Feel Confident! Sin's as a cosmetologist is second to none! Not only for his work but for his eye to see how to update/upgrade/change/modify your style into something that makes you walk out and feel more confident. I say this as someone who had the same haircut for the last decade and one cut with Sin and my eyes have opened and compliments have rolled in. Let this man "cook" for you! (Gen Z voice!)

Eryn has been my stylist for the past few years and she is absolutely amazing! She never fails to give me exactly what I ask for and always makes my hair so much more beautiful than I expect. She has great attention to detail! and always takes the time to listen to what I am looking for and does a fantastic job. Eryn is so welcoming and always makes me feel comfortable. Loved getting my hair done here, as the skill of my stylist and the overall customer service were great! Everyone was very kind and welcoming, even Loki (Sin's cute doggo). Olivia was my stylist. She did an awesome job and made sure I ended up with hair I love! I'll be back for hair services here in the future! Definitely recommend!

Today was my first time here getting my hair done at this salon! It’s so cute and cozy and I love the products they sell here as well. Olivia my stylist was absolutely amazing! I went in wanting my hair more blonde and she definitely made it look perfect, exactly how I wanted it. She was so fun and very knowledgeable. I’m so excited to continue with this salon. Definitely recommend this place!
