Every time my sisters go to this salon they always turn them away because of my skin color and now because of their hair texture first excuse they will say they are fully booked, and the salon be empty or with one customer with 3 worker in their then they would ask then to come anther day and when they did they say they book or closing that unprofessional I have everything on video recording and it’s all over Social media who turns down an upcoming artist And our lil sister that 7 year old That is known worldwide because of her raise but yet we seen a female go right in after And they started doing her hair with no appointment I will not recommend this place to nobody .. this place need to get shutdown for racism

I have been a faithful customer for over five years. I always recommend people to this salon when they complement my hair. I always say if you’re looking for a GOOD haircut and blowout this is the place. Clean and relaxing environment with friendly staff. 👌🏼 ❤️

Excelente servicio, la atención y los detalles fueron muy buenos. Me sentí como en casa en Rep. Dominicana. Mi cabello quedó perfecto, hermoso. Quedé maravilllada. Excellent service, attention and details were very good. I felt at home in the Dominican Republic. My hair was perfect, beautiful. I was amazed.

The best the salon I have ever been in. Ruth was so sweet, understanding and attentive. She explained what she could do with my already processed and damaged hair and how we would fix it. She is amazing. Very talented and very sweet. 10/10 I wil be back, 100% recommend.

Always have an amazing time and my hair comes out wounderful every time. Ruth takes her time and puts so much love into it. Love that she has her daughter helping. She is also such a sweet heart. 10 out of 10 recommend.

Be aware of this fake saloon. I went there to get permanent hair straight. Instead of that, she did keratin treatment, saying that is the best permanent treatment. But I found out keratin doesn't make your hair permanent straight & and it does make your hair shine & healthy., NOT STRAIGHT!!! When I asked what shampoo should I use, without recommendation, She had forced me to get shampoo from her even though she didn't have it for 4 days. Finally, I got keratin shampoo from outside. When my hair got ruined, FIRST SHE BLAMED THE LADY who did my hair that day, saying she's new she didn't do it right. As the owner of the saloon, she has to take responsibility for everything instead of blaming someone else. when I go to Saloon asking for a refund, then SHE BLAMED ME THAT I USE CHEAP SHAMPOO. If you want to get a service worth for your money & and time, go somewhere else who respect their clients. NOT PLACE LIKE THIS WHO WASTE YOUR MONEY & TIME WITH THIER LIES. THEY JUST DON'T KNOW THEIR JOB. BE AWARE FROM THIS FAKE SALOON!!! 🤮

I came to this place since I am visiting NY and it's near my house. I asked for a half inch trim only and to leave the long layered shape untouched. The stylist cut my hair much shorter and cut more layers into my hair. Would not recommend this place for anyone with long hair

I love this place. It is a very different experience from any other hair salon that I have been to. The staff is very friendly and Ruth the lady that did my hair was exceptional. This was the first time getting highlights and I was nervous but you can clearly see that Ruth knows her stuff. I am so very happy with the results.

Ruth has been doing my hair for the last 15 years, and I have always been completely satisfied with her work. Although my hair has thinned out considerably throughout the years, (I'm in my sixties) you would never know it from the way she works that magic with her scissors. I've always known Ruth to be a hard working stylist, who really listens to her customers, and gives them exactly what they want, while getting the upmost positive results. Simply Elegant Hair Salon is spacious, clean and has a very friendly and professional atmosphere. I get my hair cut, colored and highlighted there, and trust me, I wouldn't trade that place for any other salon in the world.

Ruth is very professional, friendly and always looking for the best options for my hair depending on my preferences and features, giving an honest opinion, even if these mean loosing business for her. Now with the COVID situation I feel safe coming here because is very clean and Ruth follows all the State guidelines! I recommend 100%!!

It was an excellent experience! I was treated very nicely! And she follows the COVID-19 protocols!! I had a haircut, wash + set and a blow dry; my hair came back to life after that!! I LOVE IT. I totally recommend this place!! Excelente servicio! Me encantó como quedó mi cabello. Se los recomiendo! De verdad 5 estrellas!

The employees were really nice but that's about it. I asked for my hair to be dyed OMBRE from dark brown to silver. They only bleached it. It then went from dark brown straight to blonde!!!!!! They didn't even ombre it. Hair dye horror.
