Been taking my daughter here for 2 years now! She loves the environment, stylist are professional, and getting her nails done at the end makes her feel like a real princess.

I’ve been bringing my little girls here for the past year or so. They are autistic and it has been a great experience for them! In the beginning, I would just come at the very end of the day so no other kids were here and it was low stimulation.

Two stars just because my son liked the experience but Dee Dee did a horrible job with his haircut. I explained very well how I wanted his hair cut since I usually do it at home due to him having curls. I told her I wanted to just thin it and cut around a bit on the ears but not completely off and to NOT CUT any curls off. I even showed her inspo, she cut his curls completely off I cried walking out. I had to step in and tell her to stop the haircut because she was just chopping away at random places when I was very specific what we wanted. I take so much care of my sons hair so this was really disappointing but I keep reminding myself it’s just hair & it’ll grow back… I also didn’t realize how choppy it was until we got home, keep in mind my son stays very still and she had 0 interaction with him. (Inspo photos vs what she did) sadly I we won’t be back..

UPDATE: Heather, the manager called and got us in to fix it! She also had conversation with my son, which Deedee hadn’t, and that made him more calm. She was amaaaazing! Took my 2 year old son to get his first hair cut. It was really quick and the ladies were nice, however, started noticing how choppy it was once we were home. Not super happy about that. I get kids move around, but my son was pretty calm the whole time.

our first haircut was at Sharkey’s, and it was awesome. We had tried to trim his hair at home with no success… We came here. The atmosphere was fun. The cars are awesome and he got a balloon and a sucker that made it best of all! very highly recommend place!

Booking was easy and they provided comfort items to help children get a haircut. My son had lots of fun. When it came to his haircut I noticed Dee Dee was having trouble. My son stayed still enough to get the clippers on him but if your child is sensitive I believe the stylist will have trouble. The only tactic she used was communication and the rest of the time I was doing all the distracting along with lollipops. Overall, I'll be coming back because my son enjoyed coming here for the fun items they have.

I need to remember to never schedule the last appointment of the day. The stylist is always rushed and even though my kiddo is upset they just kind of push through... this is not at all like the experience I had with the gilbert sharkys they took their time and worked with my kiddo so it wasn't totally traumatic.. for reference my kiddo is 2 and has had probably 4 haircuts at this point. The end result turned out fine just my kiddo was so upset through the whole thing.

I’ve taken my toddler boy here 4 or 5 times and have had 3 different hairdressers, and they’ve all been amazing. My son hates getting his hair cut- he’s squirmy and often cries, but the hairdressers are so good working with him. His cut is $30 +tip

I will not be taking my daughter back here at all. You pay for the experience at these places and the lady that cut her hair Deedee did a horrible job. I had to go back in to have her straighten up my daughter's bangs. She still butchered them. During the haircut I had to ask if she was going to blow dry her hair. She responded with if I have time I will. The store was empty I wasn't pleased with how little she talked to me or my daughter. I felt like this was the wrong job for her since she seemed nervous working around kids and didn't know how to answer any of my daughter's questions. She acted like she didn't want to be at her job at all. I did like how they included nails being painted too. And the hair clips and ring were a nice touch. Overall you pay for experience at this place and our experience was very disappointing. I heard this place was awesome unfortunately that hair dresser moved and this place is no longer awesome. My husband and I prefer Great Clips with a coupon for us and the kids. And you'll still have money leftover so you can go to the nail salon for a manicure. Great Clips also give kids suckers too and they're much more friendly. I definitely wouldn't be recommending this to any of my friends. Update: they reached out to me and were super sweet and I'll be back in to try it out sometime soon I'll just be going to a different stylist.

Very warm, engaging staff responsive to the needs of each customer. When my toddler was fearful of the clippers and haircuts in general, they offered options and made sure he felt comfortable and safe throughout the process.

Edit: the manager commented on my review telling me to email them, so they could have a chance to make it right. I emailed them over 2 months ago and they still haven’t responded. Nothing was made right, even though I spent over $50 with them for my daughters first haircut experience. Every response to a negative review they’ve given is just to make it seem like they care. If you want your children to have a good experience getting a haircut, ESPECIALLY their first haircut, I highly advise avoiding this place. Got my daughter’s first haircut here which I definitely regret. The pictures on the website are not how it looks in person. Half the chairs aren’t working. It was awkwardly empty and quiet in there when we went. The lady doing my daughter’s haircut experience seemed like she didn’t know how to work with kids at all, and not because my daughter was moving around a bunch or anything like that. My daughter is super talkative and she kept trying to talk to the lady since she was excited, and the lady just had these monotonous responses. It didn’t seem like a fun upbeat place at all. I was just pretty disappointed because we paid for the whole first haircut package and it was not what we hoped it would be for my daughter’s first haircut.

Outstanding, so happy we found Sharkey's. The ladies are absolutely wonderful. My grandson is 8 and they were so patient and understood exactly what he wanted. Can't wait to come back. 😊😊😊😊😊

This is a great place for a special occasion haircut. The girls' cuts come with sparkles and nail polish. The stylists are great with the kids, especially on first haircuts. I think it's a bit pricey for every cut.

This is a great place for kids they have everything a kid would dream of, and I wish they had this when I was a kid I would highly recommend this place to anyone that has any children. The atmosphere is so positive and welcoming they do amazing with Kids. A HIGHLY RECOMMENDED PLACE FOR SURE !

I took my 11 month old baby girl to get her bangs trimmed, she was excited and happy the entire time we were there! She got to ride a car while she was getting her haircut. Nikki was really nice and patient. My baby was curious and moving a lot, but Nikki even did her hair afterwards. It’s nice that each station has a tv to keep the kids distracted, and the kids get a ballon at the end of their haircut.

DONT DO IT! Absolutely the worst salon/barber experience I've ever had with my kids (and I have 3). Would give no stars if possible. We got a welcome in from everyone, no eye contact initially. Then it was time for my 4yr old to get his haircut, he doesn't really wiggle around like most kids. The stylist was forcefully holding his head down. He's been to the barbershop and does pretty well.There was very little conversation or interaction with us or the kids.The stylist asked me to look at my son's hair I asked her to take the sides in a bit, like taper it because it didn't flow in front. She literally clippered a chunk into each side instead of using scissors. Ok then we move onto the next kid, my 3 year old.. we stated he had not been to a salon before. He did not like the cape around his neck and instead of trying to work with him/us they held his head down with alot of force all while running the clipper guard into the back of his head numerous times. He screamed and cried the whole time. I tried calming him but they would not stop trying to clip his hair. Like let's hurry up and get this done. No time, no care...for a sensory sensitive child this was a lot and I even stated that. They continued. I felt as if they tried to get me to just clipper both my boys hair, to get them out as fast as possible. This is not what we asked for or hoped for. I really hoped the bad reviews were wrong. I was incredibly wrong and will not ever be returning. 2 stylist and maybe 4 sentences total were spoken to us and the kids. It's hard to imagine that they work with kids everyday. Do NOT bring little kids here, the barbershop we go to is much more compassionate and interactive with kids.

Just took my son for a haircut here. Very disappointed. Staff was not welcoming nor did the stylist seem like she knew how to work with kids. It was dead silent. Although i will say Danielle was very fast, she did not listen to what i asked for AT ALL. I specifically said i am NOT ready for my 16 month old son to have a short hair cut yet, and she cut off ALL OF HIS HAIR!!! We agreed on one inch to get the hair out of his eyes, and she proceeded to cut off about FOUR inches. I felt that she took the scissors and clippers and did what she wanted to do. I am very VERY upset by this, as i was NOT ready or prepared for my son to have short hair. Will never be coming back.
