Sitting in Bridgette's chair is an absolute privilege, from the moment she greets you, through the moment she walks you out the door. After a very thorough consultation and her fantastic guidance, she walked me through everything she was doing and I was completely pampered throughout the entire experience. She truly took the time to listen to what I wanted, and recapped the gameplan to me before we began, I never felt ignored or misunderstood. She skillfully applied my color, gave me the most incredible hair wash of my entire life, and the most gorgeous cut and voluminous blowout. I was offered refreshments throughout my visit and was given a hand and arm massage during my deep conditioning treatment. I left feeling amazing and my hair has never looked better. Any time I am in SLC I will make it a point to book with Bridgette, she is as kind as she is talented, and I feel lucky to have booked with her. Thank you so much Bridgette!

Nicole at Shades Hair & Co. is amazing! I wasn’t exactly sure what I wanted except to focus on healthy hair and bring back my blunt bangs. Nicole took the time to consult with me, educate me on hair health, and help me understand my face shape and skin tone. We ended up cutting more than I originally planned and opted for a gloss instead of color. She selected a gloss that perfectly complements my skin tone, something I wouldn’t have been able to choose on my own. The result is a posh, healthy look that I’m absolutely in love with! Being new to Salt Lake City, I was nervous about finding a stylist I could trust. Nicole made me feel special with her personalized service and attention to detail. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a stylist who goes above and beyond!

I had my hair color done in another salon that I really disliked and Eliza was able to fix it and did it better than what I had in mind. She took the time to ask me what I liked and disliked and showed me different tones of hair to find out which would look best. The salon also felt welcoming and bright. Would definitely recommend!

Today, I had an appointment with Nicole. I'm so glad I booked with her! I went in with hair I didn't love and feeling blah and came out feeling like myself with hair I'm proud to show off! She took the time to have a conversation first and discuss options, what could be realistic as far as going from what I had to what I wanted, and to feel out what would be best for me and my hair. I felt so pampered at this appointment - I was offered a beverage and snacks anc the rinse chair massaged and had an elevated food rest! Nicole was great to work with and worked some magic. I'm not a big talker and she didn't seem to mind me being quiet at all. I'm definitely going to book with her again!

First time experience with shades & co and first time experience in America so I read the reviews and noticed 5 star review and that’s exactly what it was! Veronica was my stylist and she went above and beyond. I booked in for a color and didn’t book in for hair maintenance and she still managed to fit me in to her busy schedule. I found Eliza’s Instagram and she is a miracle worker with extensions. I got my hair done by her for my wedding and before, and after is stunning, she blended my extensions into my short hair so well. no one could believe that I got extensions! She’s so kind and ask so many questions to make sure I love the outcome. She made sure that I was not spending money for something I didn’t need and always responds to me when I have questions! I had the best experience with Eliza at Shades and Co. I was really unsure what I wanted, but knew I wanted a little change and she really went the extra mile with me to figure out exactly what I needed. She colored and chopped my hair and I left feeling so pretty and confident. I love the way she styled my hair as well! I love the products they use at this salon, and they have a lot of refreshments for the guests. The staff has a great connection and you can tell they really care about each other. I felt so welcome and will definitely be back!

I visited Shades Hair and Company a few weeks ago to transition my hair color back to its natural shade. I tend to struggle when explaining what I want to stylists, and I was nervous about getting my hair done after a bad experience elsewhere. I decided to give Shades a try based on their good reviews, and I was paired with Eliza. She was perfect for me because, despite me being semi quiet - I didn't feel pressured to keep up a conversation or that she wasn't engaging enough. It was a comfortable balance of normal conversation. Eliza did an excellent job translating my vague descriptions into exactly what I wanted for my hair. I prefer low-maintenance hair care, and she ensured the color would grow out naturally without looking washed out or overly dramatic. Coming from died blonde hair for at least four years people used to complement my hair all the time, but I was finally getting over that color and transitioning to brown. I was afraid people would not complement me going natural but it’s the opposite. I’ve had so many of my friends say I look so much healthier with my hair being back to my natural color - my friends who are fake blonde are now considering going to the color I’m at right now which feels great to show that your natural hair can be beautiful too. Veronica was amazing with my color correction/gray blending. I’m new to the area and couldn’t have picked a better stylist to put my trust in. We did a consultation prior to my transformation and Veronica explained thoroughly what she would do. She has amazing techniques for choosing the right color, toner and blending to natural growth.
