First time visit to Seven & Mane. I took my elderly mom for a wedding hairstyle . Cindy was wonderful and really made mom feel special. I highly recommend this salon

My review is based on my experience as a walk-in. I had requested a dimensional strawberry blonde initially & walked out with all over color that had a very very red hue, I kept an open mind & thought I could just go with it at first. This photo is from returning, & having the owner “fix” what was done before, to get closer to a dimensional strawberry blonde. I walked out relieved to be closer to what I had requested to begin with- but upon closer inspection there was no careful blending done, & overall I was yet again disappointed. I understand that sometimes walk-ins can be more rushed with other appointments on the books, which would explain the first visits mis-hap but I had been booked in a time slot for the re-do, which is what the photo is from..

First time at the Salon and I really enjoyed my time. My stylist is newer to the salon and I love her and of course followed her! I love that I was able to come in after work, even ran into my daughter's teacher. Such a welcoming environment. And did I mention GPS said 5 mins from my address? I couldn't recommend Adrian enough. She always listens and gives her professional opinion!

omg if you have a box dye disaster please go here. I went to Jen and she is an actual miracle worker. My hair turned several different colors after putting brown box dye on and she evened it out and kept the health of my hair in tact. Everyone there is super professional and nice. She was very helpful with a full consultation and kept my budget in mind. This place is very nice and clean I highly recommend coming here.

Jennifer Carr did an amazing job on my curly hair. I told her I was on a mission to embrace my curls. She listened and discussed different techniques. I am SO happy with my curly girl haircut.

Seven and Mane is the best! Colleen is amazing! All of the stylists are great. We used them for my daughter’s wedding and had several stylists on little kids and adults. They were so friendly and did a great job. I see Colleen regularly and 100% recommend!

Jen is absolutely incredible! I cannot say enough great things about her professionalism, service, and talent. I came in wanting just something different for my hair. She took my vision, listened to what I was hoping for, set realistic expectations, and made my hair look even better than I had hoped for. She took the time to listen to me so that I would love my hair long after just leaving the salon. She definitely made me love my hair again and feel beautiful. I have so much confidence in her and feel honored that I found such a gifted stylist.

Tillie was AMAZING to say the least. She was so delightful and entertaining while doing my hair. She was on point for what I was wanting to do. On top of that she massaged my head while washing my hair. I can't believe how beautiful my hair turned out. It's well worth the money! I'd send everybody I know for her to pamper them.

Colleen is an amazing artist! I always get compliments on my hair. I often get asked, for being so blond, how does my hair look so healthy. And I always tell them, "because my stylist knows what she's doing and cares!" Aside from being an amazing artist, she has the best personality ever ❤️ The salon itself is clean, bright and very welcoming!

I used to frequent a couple of the more popular, “trendy” salons in the downtown GR area. To each their own, but I felt like I wasn’t getting as consistent quality of service lately and was looking for somewhere new that had experienced stylists. Seven and Mane was exactly what I was looking for. Very warm and inviting, stylists are down to earth and easy to talk to and very professional in their work. Super special shoutout to Colleen, she absolutely nails it every time!

I'm the sort who struggles to keep hair appointments. I don't like the commitment, the awkward conversation, the pushing of products. Colleen has changed the game for me. She's fun, easy to talk to, and real. She knows her stuff, understands how to give me what I'm asking for (even when I don't express it well), and lets me know if something will be more upkeep than I can handle. I've never felt pushed or pressured to buy more or add on and I always walk out feeling fresh, polished, and like the best version of myself. Trust this lady, she's a gem.

I’ve been going to Seven and Mane for years and I love it here. It’s a really comfortable place to be and everyone is so friendly. Colleen cuts my hair and Emily does my pedicures, both are just wonderful and do a beautiful job. I also really appreciate the ability to schedule online without having to find time to call. Highly recommend.

Jennifer Carr is an excellent stylist. She goes above and beyond to make her clients are happy. I always leave out of there feeling so refreshed and “sexy”. She recently got married and all throughout the planning process she never seemed frazzled. I love this gal and so much respect for her professionalism!

Love Seven & Mane! Colleen does my hair as well as both of my son's. I struggled for years with liking my hair and how it was done but never had that issue since being a client of Colleens! I will never trust anyone else with my hair plus getting my hair done with Colleen is always tons of fun and lots of laughs!!

Seven and mane has been great to me! There staff is so friendly, and so welcoming each and every time! Colline has the perfect touch ever appointment I make. Not only does she give me her professional opinion, she also gives me her personal opinion too! Colline has been cutting my hair for years, and I can’t seem to switch hairstylists, even when moving over an hour away. That’s how great she really is!

The Salon is adorable and everyone is kind there. Most importantly, trust Tillie with your hair! First, she is a hair goddess. I had never gotten my hair colored before Tillie. I didn't know that she could make my hair *literally* glow. I'm not kidding--strangers literally stop to tell me my hair is beautiful. This is due to Tillie's magic and recommendations: hair washing techniques, keeping my mids and ends hydrated with products, styling heat temperature tips, etc. She asks the right questions and listens so that she can perform magic. I have a wavy curl pattern, prone to frizzing, so Tillie recommended the Brazilian hair treatment to cut down on frizz and styling time. She can customize your Brazilian to leave your hair frizz-free with curl/wave pattern intact or ultra frizz-free with little curl/wave pattern. The first time, I went with the curl pattern intact and loved it. The second time, Tillie recommended the ultra frizz-free because I was going to Hawaii and wasn't able to bring styling tools with me. It was 100% worth it and I will be getting another to combat the Michigan humidity! Outside of her artistry, she is a kind and compassionate human. She will always treat you with respect. Trust Tillie with your hair and you will be in good hands.

Tried this salon for the first time today. It's not the fanciest, most spa-like salon you've ever seen, but what it lacks in fruitless extravagance (don't care about chandeliers or crazy scented oils) it more than makes up for in service and skill. Wish I had found this salon before now! I had to wait ten months for my hair to recover from a very bad salon experience, and yet the wait was worth it now that I found someone who both listens, and has the expertise to follow it up. Thank you.
