DO NOT WALKIN....be catious of the one one with 41 years of experience. she just cut off all my hair without asking how short I wanted it. She was cutting my hair and asked me how long my sides should be. She then went to the top and started trimming my hair which was over 4 inches long in some areas. I closed my eyes after I saw she was trimming the tips on the top and when I reopened my eyes while she was styling my hair with gel and I noticed inches of my hair gone. On her own free will, she decided what length my hair should be, instead of asking me how long the length should be. Nor did she give me the courtesy to ask how I style my hair regularly. She brought my hair from 4 inches to less than an inch scissor-cu across the top. I asked people with no filters what they thought of my hair. Brothers reaction: its not bad, it's like dad's. Our dad is bald with the colosack haircut . Barista initial reaction: "Omg no......." then she asked me 3 times what the name of the place is so she never goes there. Her eyes and face were in shock when saw my hair. Super cuts reaction: I had to go to super cuts to get the sides fixed because the barber there noticed another spot where she nicked the back of my head and long patches sticking from my sideburns. His response to the cut " You didn't pay for this did you" Dad's reaction: " it's short and puffy" I'm a guy with thinning hair and she devasted my hair line so much that if I didn't know that a good barber can do. I would contemplate biccing my head. Girls be cautious who you work with and how comfortable you get while your there because you might lose more than you can bargain for and you might be waiting longer than the 3 months to have it grow back. Ask for recent pictures of their clients work. Do not take a random person. She literally gave me a 1 inch scissor cut all along the top. She decimated my bangs so bad that it's impossible to style because the bangs are so short. *CAUTION. PICTURES BELOW* Seriously the worst haircut of my life. It's sad that her response was that it's a short cut and she can't put the hair back. Followed by how her son looks sexy in short hair. Never once did she admit to what happened and how she never asked me how short she was going to cut the top of my head. Be very cautious, seriously just had all my hair cut off without my consent. The sad part is I showed a picture of me 2 months prior and she never asked to see the picture again after an initial 2sec glance....her response to me after reshowing the picture was, "how long ago was that picture?" and " your hair is browner" She messed my hair up so bad that she thinks the picture I showed her wasn't 2 months old. Worst service experience when it comes to hair styling. Before and after pictures of my bangs. The longer bang picture was taken 1 month ago.

I would love to give Erin some credit for doing an AMAZING job on my half purple half black hair! For graduation it looked incredible and I got a lot of compliments from my teachers and family 💜🖤 I was actually trying to get her to do my hair recently but she wasn't able to on the day. I actually have a minor complaint about Laura, she was super rude and followed with a "girlfriend" at the end of comments like it would make the situation less awkward. I honestly didn't think she was being rude til I saw the look of the other customer's face as she was talking to me. I ended up going to another stylist who actually offered a deep conditioning for my hair instead of completely denying me of any service. I still recommend Erin and the others! ☺️

Debbie did my hair and it looks amazing! My hair looked brassy and now it looks wonderful! She gave me great advice too! The products she used are really high end. I highly recommend her.

Erin has been coloring and cutting my hair for years (a lady can’t divulge how long). She takes the time to consult me each time, she knows my hair and makes good suggestions for color/grey coverage, and cut/style. She works well with people of all ages. She’s friendly, flexible, and kind.

Erin is the BEST stylist ever. I always feel welcome and relaxed in her chair. She collaborates with you on what you want and sets realistic expectations for outcomes on your hair. I have been seeing Erin for a number of years for cut and color! She is so kind and talented. I was terrified to color my hair after saving it from cold capping after chemo treatment since it’s super fragile at that time and she was creative and supportative to come up with solution so I could feel like myself without damaging my hair as much. Now I’m back to my normal highlights and she does great job blending and allowing me to go months without needing to re-color- my goal! Highly recommend the salon as well which has great stylists and beautiful/clean salon located in midtown.

Christine is amazing. She cuts and expertly colors my hair and I get constant complements on the color/style. Everyone thinks it’s my natural color and it isn’t! Plus every stylist is super nice and good at what they do. Kristen, Debbie and Erin are all amazing!

Such a quaint, wonderful salon. We drive down from Los Angeles because it's that good. There's always a relaxed, warm atmosphere and we always feel welcome. I'm offered coffee while I wait, and given recommendations around town should I choose to venture out while my wife gets her hair done. Erin is my wife's stylist and my wife looks stunning every time!

I went into the salon with very damaged and dry hair, and OH my god Debbie made my hair shine and look amazing again!! It was such an amazing process and she is hands down the best hair stylist I’ve ever had. She has herself now a forever client! Love her and 12/10 would recommend !!

Went in for a color correction/consultation, and Debbie was super helpful!! She ended up keeping my in the chair and went for minimalist highlight weave that took my flat, brassy box dye to a BANGIN blonde. Wonderful rates and incredibly welcoming atmosphere. 10/10 would recommend.

First time at a hair salon and can I say it was a more than enjoyable experience. When I walked in I was greeted by "mom" who has I believe owned the salon for over 36 years. She runs it with her lovely daughter and reliable hair stylists. I called without an appointment and they were able to accomadate me on short notice and I was having my hair done within 30 minutes of contacting them. The environment is so warm, and welcoming. I was personally helped by Debbie and she is such a sweetheart, and very personable as are the other ladies in the salon. For my first experience at a hair salon I would say this is going to be my #1 personal choice everytime. And as for my haircut, Debbie really helped my head feel less dense by adding layers and shaping it in a way to where it flows and looks effortless in any angle. These ladies really made me feel beautiful, highly reccomend this salon and if you don't believe my words you should come by and experience it for yourself.

Wow wow wow! These ladies are so amazing! I've been going here for 7years and I can't express how much I love them all! It is so tranquil there along with the confidence boost they give you!!!! You all need to go to Self Image! You'll leave looking so amazing and feeling even better!
