Rachael is a master at the most beautiful hair color that never has harsh lines or grows out unflatteringly. I’ve been seeing her for almost 2 years and I’ve never been happier with my color. She’s a genius and I absolutely trust her. I first came to her to correct bangs I was at a loss with and she not only fixed my bangs but gave me the best haircut I’d ever had. She’s really good at being soft and listening but also no nonsense- she’ll tell you if something isn’t going to work well, communicates pros and cons, and sometimes even gently suggests what she thinks would be better, which really allows you to be confident in the process. I agree with the other reviewer who said that over time it just gets better, too. And she’s a genuinely lovely person.

As soon as Rachael at Satellite SLC rolled into town, I knew she would be the one to cut my hair. You always know you’ll walk away satisfied. Her pricing is fair and is built so you don’t have to worry about leaving a tip. Her warmth as a human is felt as she provide a stellar service. She even took this cool photo of me after one haircut! Grateful she’s a part of Salt Lake!

I’ve been waiting years to find a place like this in SLC! Rachael‘s skills and vision are so unique in our area and I’m so glad I found her to get “the haircut” that I couldn’t trust other stylists in the area to attempt. Rachael also styled my hair multiple ways and brainstormed with me what other hairstyles I should try out so that I can fully thrive with my new hair.

I have NEVER had a better hair stylist (more like artist). I love my hair! Rachel listens to your concerns about your hair and really knows what looks good for your unique look and vibe. Bonus, she is an incredibly cool person. (Pro tip, the first visit is incredible but as time goes on she REALLY dials you in)

I truly can't say enough kind things about Rachael; she is like some sort of hair witch. Truly magical! She leads her appointments with intuition, and it's never failed. She leans past the superficial aspects of hair and listens, truly listens, to what her clients not only want but need. She's soft in her approach and can somehow sense not how her clients want to look but feel. She aims for each client to have a unique look that can't be found anywhere else. I always come to her with inspiration photos, and by the end of my appointment, I don't have a copy and paste of the original photos, but somehow, hair that's even better because the cut and color have been tailored to my face shape, coloring, and whatever season of life I'm going through. I hope everyone has a chance to experience a visit with Rachael at least once in their life!

Rachael is the BEST!! I have been getting my hair cut and colored by her for well over a year now and she nails it every time. She is the first hair stylist ever to fully understand my hair texture and it has been a total game changer. Instead of fighting my curls I can now wear them totally natural with super minimal styling needed. She also did a subtle balayage for me that gave my hair color a beautifully natural sun-kissed look which was just what I wanted and requires no upkeep. I used to be pretty self conscious about my hair but since seeing Rachael my confidence has gone way up and I always leave Satellite feeling so cute. Adding one pic of my hair right after styling and another one of it on day 2 of camping and getting rained on all day (If that isn’t proof of a great haircut idk what is!).

Rachel gave me the best haircut of my life. I didn’t even know I could love my hair so much. I found my forever hair stylist and I am so grateful. She cuts with intention and creates such a warm and welcoming environment. Everything that she does, she adds her special magic touch.

Racheal at Satellite Salon is a true artist with hair. When I sat in her chair I felt immediately confident that I was in wonderful hands. In the consultation prior, she asked very intentional questions about how I currently style my hair, challenges, and my goals for how I'd like my hair to look and feel. She held space for open conversation regarding how my hair affects my confidence. Racheal's energy is very calming and you can tell she takes her craft very seriously. I absolutely love my cut and color, and get tons of compliments. More importantly I feel like more like myself than I ever have before. I've never experienced such a thoughtful, accepting and intentional approach to hair dressing. Sitting in her chair, and allowing her to work her magic on my hair, is something I truly look forward to.
