***UPDATE: the owner reached out to me via email and honestly made it worse. She was extremely insensitive in her responses to me and didn’t consider my experience AT ALL. She only cared that I was calling her stylist out on google for ignoring me and telling me that it’s MY fault that I didn’t speak with the owner directly. Since I can’t respond to her on here, wanted to edit my review and provide an update.***(8:02pm 12/31/24) I’m honestly bummed to be writing this because I thought I had found my forever hair colorist…Katlynn did my balayage spring/summer this year and I loved it, zero negative things to say about her work. Fast forward to November, week before Thanksgiving…I booked an appointment with Katlynn to go back to dark because although I loved the blonde, it was just too damaging to my hair. She did my hair, great results, all good. A couple days later after washing and living in my hair color, I noticed that there were areas that didn’t take the dark so I decided to DM her on IG. I was extremely polite, asked what she recommends (I included I picture of my hair in the DM so I could show her better than explaining)…I didn’t get a response from her but I figured she was busy or taking time off since it was during Thanksgiving time when I sent the message. I let a week or so go by and messaged again first/second week of December asking for a follow up to my original message and I got no response again. She even took down my original balayage before/after post on her IG! (which of course do as you please, it’s your page but I found it a strange coincidence). I’m sad to report Katlynn has ghosted me and I’m off to start the search for a new hair colorist :(

I just left a review about my experience and I did not appreciate the owner’s response. I didn’t call the salon because I was expecting Katlynn to respond to me on IG like she has all other times we’ve communicated about my hair. I wasn’t unhappy with my hair to the point of having to call the salon/owner and that’s why I went directly to her. Ignoring me was unwarranted and unprofessional because I guarantee if I wanted to book another service, she would have responded.

I have been debating leaving this review for months now but I don't want anyone else to experience this. I’m writing this review out of frustration and disappointment after my recent experience at this salon. Initially, I loved the stylist who worked on my hair, and I had good experiences in the past. However, my last visit left me in shock. I spent an exhausting six hours in the chair, which should have raised some red flags. After that marathon session, I noticed significant damage to my hair, but at the time, I didn’t realize how severe it was. I’ve been dyeing my hair blonde for six years without any issues until now. When I went to a different salon, recommended by my mom due to my complaints of migraines and neck pain from the long session, I was devastated to learn that I had a huge chunk of hair missing. The new stylist pointed it out, and I was left dumbfounded. The fact that my original stylist didn’t mention anything about the damage is honestly unbelievable. I would have appreciated transparency; if she had just informed me about the state of my hair, I wouldn’t have been upset. The lack of communication and professionalism is unacceptable. I urge anyone considering this salon to think twice. No one seems to know what they’re doing here, and I regret trusting them with my hair. Save yourself the stress and potential damage—look elsewhere for your hair care needs.

Yesterday we again visited Salt Salon and Spa in Antioch. The vibe is peaceful and the Salon is immaculate The staff is professional and do an exceptional job. My wife and Son got color and I got a haircut. Holly (The owner) treats us like family. Do yourself a favor and visit this Salon. You will not be disappointed .

You cannot go wrong with going to either Katlynn or Joanna for a cut! I go to both of them (pending schedules) and have always been so pleased! They are experts in their craft. Really tempted to color my hair soon but haven’t gone that route yet but I’ve seen their work and it’s admirable. So glad I found this salon when moving to Antioch!

Katelynn is absolutely amazing!!! She tought me how to best take care of my curls, definitely my home salon!!! Each time I come it's like chatting with a friend. My hair has never looked and felt so amazing!! 🥰❤️

Absolutely love this salon. I was looking for a salon closer to home and have now been there twice for a haircut. Gia is amazing and listens to what you want and it always turns out exactly as I asked and amazing!

Holly is the only woman that I would let cut my hair. She’s busy and I get in a regular rotation with my appointments. The salon is beautiful as well. Everyone there is so nice

This place has the best atmosphere, products, and team! Jessica so informative once I told her it was my first time ever getting a facial. Jessica is so detailed and explains every step of the facial process. Now, After getting a second facial done with her I am officially hooked ! I also had an amazing experience with her getting my eyebrows waxed. The wax that is used is amazing! Didn’t leave any redness after. I was shocked how less painful it was. I have also been there with Johana to get my hair done. She was also amazing! I would recommend anyone who is looking for a new salon & spa! This place is the real deal!

Went there for the first time for a wax with Sahra and she was so nice and friendly. She made me feel very comfortable from the beginning and so I was at ease through the entire session.

What a wonderful team! I have had incredible facials from both Sahra & Jess. I also have gotten the SALT Signature Scalp treatment + Blow Dry by both Katlynn & Ariana - what an INCREDIBLE experiance! Would highly add that to any hair service in the future!

Highly recommend the Dermaplaning service offered by Sahra!! It is super relaxing and completely painless, my skin felt amazing and so smooth after. Sahra is very attentive and so sweet! Will definitely be going again! 😊

I've been going to the Salon for over a year for gel manicures. The gift cards never worked. I always had an issue when using a gift card to check out. The nail polishes were never refreshed. I still had the same nail colors to chose from since May 2022. Nobody does Nail art. I was there Dec 29th for a gel manicure and on January 11th i called to book a soak off and i was told they were no longer doing nails. I am now frantically looking for a place to take off the nail polish from my last manicure with them. Awful customer service. If they no longer were going to offer this service, i should have been told this at that appointment so i knew how to follow up with my next appointment. And they call themselves a Salon and Spa? Not even close. Poorly trained staff members who can't even work their computer program. Why wasnt I told this on Dec. 29th. Very poor service no matter how you look at it. I do not recommend this Salon. Terrible management by the owner. Try educating your staff and train on simple customer service relations.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Very clean and comfortable. Went in for bikini wax. Best wax service I've had in the area. No wax residue left, no pain, no redness. Highly recommend. Also went back a few weeks later for a facial. I saw Jessica for both services. Going back for next facial appointment. Happy I tried them out.
