The salon itself is nice, clean, friendly people. Unfortunately, the woman who cut my hair took absolutely nothing I said into consideration. I went in after searing off some hair leaning over a candle, with the intent of having my hair blended to lose as little length as possible. I am not a fan of the modern blunt cuts, and had long layers that I loved. Rather than blending my hair as I mentioned, maintaining length as best she could per my request, and avoiding a modern “beach wave” cut, this woman immediately cut 7-9 inches of hair off. She proudly held it up and asked if my hair felt thicker. NO. No, my hair did NOT feel thicker. It felt SHORTER. 😖 She mentioned that cutting the layers off would make it feel thicker (that’s obviously how layers work…they get thinner as the hair tapers down 😩). I’ve gone back and forth over whether to mention anything about this but as someone who sincerely values long hair and is now shoulder length, I am truly heartbroken. She chopped my hair off just in time for Christmas and my birthday. 💔 I have naturally wavy hair that was once capable of air drying and looking beautiful - it is now a blunt mop, and I look like hermione granger.

I've been going to Selah for a year now, and she is simply amazing! She always does a fantastic job and makes sure I'm comfortable throughout the entire process. Selah checks in with me before, during, and after to ensure I'm getting exactly what I want. She's incredibly kind, non-judgmental, and has a great sense of humor. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a wonderful hairstylist!

Their website says to call if an appointment time doesn’t work, but if you call, it rings a couple times and then disconnects you.

My college age daughter has had highlights here twice now. The stylist who has assisted her has done a great job with the color. Her hair looks brighter, but still natural.

Would recommend!!! Definitely worth the price. Got a short haircut from Selah (who was super awesome :) ) she also helped me with some easy styling tips. Definitely would go back!

I was so worried about trying a new salon after moving to Cedar apids because I've had bad experiences before. This salon was recommended to me and I'm so glad! Jessi was my stylist for brow wax, haircut, style and color. She was incredible! Very professional and friendly and skilled. My hair is amazing! I'm so thrilled with the results. This isn't a cheap salon (though I've seen much higher prices elsewhere) but keep in mind that you get what you pay for. The fabulous results and top quality products used make it worth the cost.

I recently had an appointment with McKenzie for a cut and toner on my blonde hair. She made sure to listen to my concerns and took her time with the cut, and I left with exactly what I was hoping for! The salon itself was clean and not crowded but still lively. My partner has had a mens cut here and enjoyed his experience as well.

I've been seeing Elizabeth for a little over 3 years now. I followed her here from her previous salon. Even though, I live in Iowa City, she's worth the drive! She has creative ideas, and helped me find a hairstyle I love! She's not afraid to take risks when I tell her I want something new. Best stylist I've ever had.

Selah is AMAZING! Other salons have told me they could get the vibrant color that I wanted but failed - then in comes Selah like, "I got this!" If you want great color and stylish cuts, I highly recommend checking out this salon!

Didn’t receive a good interaction with Lauryn, and don’t recommend booking with her whatsoever. She is definitely a inexperienced and young stylist that still has lots to learn, and a long way to go. I have noticed also that the staff only seems to reply to good reviews and never the bad ones to help solve the patients concerns, this shows how much they don’t care for their costumers. The salon is also mostly empty, which is something to take into consideration.

I recently had my hair done by Lauryn and can’t say enough good things!! I was very nervous about getting my hair done due to multiple past experiences going wrong. Lauryn did an amazing job taking my box dyed brown hair and color correcting it and adding blonde highlights without damaging my hair! The color turned out better than expected and i definitely recommend! I have found my new favorite salon 😊

I was in Cedar Rapids for a layover and decided to go get my hair done, I am so happy I did. They made an appointment for me last minute and Chelsea did such an amazing job! I am a traumatized client as I have had bad experiences with haircuts before and I was so impressed by how much care and attention Chelsea put on making sure everything was done the way I liked it and that I felt comfortable. She consulted every step with me and was seriously committed to making me have a great experience!!! Absolutely exceeded my expectations!! Beautiful salon with great customer service and great prices! Couldn't ask for more! Whenever I am back in Cedar Rapids will go get my hair done with Chelsea again for sure!! Highly recommended!
