Salon Shade is hands down the best salon in Nashville! They specialize in high-end extensions and flawless, lived-in color that looks both natural and fabulous. Every visit here is a dose of dopamine—from the warm latte greeting to the unbelievably comfortable shampoo bowls (complete with the best head massages!) to the feeling of walking out with bomb-looking hair. They think of every detail: a work desk attachment if you need it, sample Oribe products to take home, and a team of stylists who are genuinely welcoming and incredibly talented. The stylists treat each other and every client like a best friend, creating an empowering, drama-free vibe that’s impossible not to love. I've been seeing Megan for years and love her so much, but I know and admire all the other stylists too—they’re all amazing, talented, and incredibly sweet. The whole team is dedicated to continuous education and workshops, so they’re constantly learning the latest techniques and ahead of the trends. If I ever moved away, I’d be flying back every other month just to go to Salon Shade. Truly, come for the hair and stay for the sisterhood. You’ll leave feeling beautiful inside and out!

Salon Shade is the BEST! I’ve had Kenzie and Megan A. do my hair, and they’ve exceeded my expectations every time. I absolutely love my hair. It always feels so thick, healthy, and glamorous when I leave and weeks after. The salon is so pretty and calming, too. It’s a full experience. I definitely recommend.

I’ve been going to Salon Shade for 1-2 years and they are incredible! I had no idea there were so many different color options for blondes and they truly can create magic every single time. I also think they make extensions look extremely natural and hidden. Highly suggest for Nashville girlies looking for color, cuts and/or extensions!

I absolutely love my experience at Shade every time. The stylists there are all beyond friendly and welcoming and always go over the top to offer the best experience. Not only do they offer an amazing experience and beautiful atmosphere, but I love my hair every time. I cannot recommend this salon enough. Im so happy I found Salon Shade!

I recently moved back home to Nashville, and amidst the hectic timing of a cross-country move, I missed a crucial hair appointment. To say that my hair looked awful upon walking into the salon would be an understatement. But then Megan worked her magic and brought me back to life! My hair now looks the best it ever has. Her skill and attention to detail are unmatched. The salon atmosphere was welcoming, and the entire team was incredibly professional. From the moment you walk into Salon Shade, you are embraced by warmth and elegance. The environment of this salon is chic and modern. It was my first time and Kenzie was extremely welcoming and friendly when I arrived for my appointment. I have never had anyone be as thorough and detailed with the plan for my hair as Kenzie was. Kenzie was highly skilled and passionate about her work and it shows. All the women who work here were so interactive and nice. My hair looks AMAZING and I couldn't be happier that I officially found my Nashville hair salon. Highly recommend this hair salon, 10/10!!

Second time getting my hair colored, trimmed, and styled by Sophie! She did an amazing job yet again. First time around she gave me dimensional highlights on my then very dark brown hair. She did a beautiful job. Then I just went back and she toned the highlights down to a lighter brown. So happy with the results yet again! Sophie is my go-to girl! Thank you!!

I have been a client of Kenzies since January of this year. I moved to Nashville and was in search of a hair stylist that specialized in blondes/ hand tied extensions (I since have taken my extensions out) She has taken the best care of me this year and I recommended all of my girlfriends to see her! She is so gifted at what she does and I feel so beautiful after every appointment! I love the vibe the salon has too!!

Seriously great salon! Life is difficult, and then you find a hairstylist that you love. This is that place. Plus, there's a hot towel and scalp massage during the wash session. Well worth the money. Your hair is your crown. Specializing in extensions and detailed, natural looking color. Goddess hair.

Several of my good friends have gone here in the past and they always leave with their hair looking wonderful, but within days, all the dye or lightness completely fades. How does bleach fade? I have no idea. Yet a $250 blonde balayage turns up darker than the hair she went in with. Or a $150 all over darker color fades back to blonde balayage in weeks— even tho apparently “permanent” dye was used. Save your money, this place is either a scam or just full of amateurs that don’t understand hair. When my friends brought this up to the hairdressers, they were completely disregarded and then blocked.

I never spend money on myself but my husband reached out to the Salon Shade and set me up with an appointment for my 40th birthday. It was honestly one of the nicest experiences. They really made me feel special. Jaylyn did an amazing job with the cut and color and I am so thankful they took the time to really celebrate me when most days I am the one celebrating everyone else. My absolute favorite place to get my hair done hands down in Nashville. I had the most amazing first experience going to Salon Shade this past week. Kenzie gave me a much needed trim, color touch-up, and extension install! The whole staff was so warm and welcoming. Everyone in there hypes you up the whole time, you feel like you're hanging out with a bunch of your girl friends! Exactly how their bio describes, they provided the perfect laid-back, but luxe experience. They only use the best on your hair and you walk away feeling GORGEOUS. I can't wait to go back!

Salon and Shade is the place to go for all your hair care needs! The staff is so kind and welcoming and makes you feel right at home. Kenzie completely transformed my hair! I hadn’t gotten my hair done since June 2022, and I went in this past Friday 11/4/22, and Kenzie went in and worked her magic. She is an expert when it comes to hair coloring, and was able to put some highlights in my hair to achieve a soft blonde look. I literally feel like a whole new woman because of Kenzie, I cannot thank her enough!

This was the best overall hair experience I’ve ever had. Carey Ann and her assistant, Sophie did my hair and they were amazing. But I have a feeling that you’d be in good hands with anyone at this salon. I have nothing but great things to say- and that’s saying a lot because I am very critical of my hair. I have been to Salon Shade multiple times and my expectations are always exceeded! I’ve had some disappointing experiences from previous salons before so when I found Salon Shade I knew this is where I was going from then on! Whitney does an incredible job on my color and all of the girls are so friendly. The atmosphere is great and the service is so professional! Carey Ann and Megan have changed my life! If you want a fun, upscale salon that feels like a family, this is your place! I went to Carey Ann in 2018 when I had black hair and I wanted to go back to my natural roots being a blonde. I wanted someone to take my hair health into consideration and she did that and more! She introduced me to hand-tied extensions in 2019 to give my hair the extra volume I needed and I haven’t turned back. I love these girls and love this place, hurry and book an appointment because you’ll never find another place like this!
