I moved to Boston from Central Florida and I finally found my hair salon 'home' with Alex and her team at Salon Milage. So happy to have found them, they offer every hair service at the best possible quality, and the Salon is beautifully decorated, clean, and elegant. Love that this is a family run, woman owned, bilingual business and plan to keep coming back regularly for hair care. Highest recommendation!

Alex always has the best interests of her clients in mind. She is kind and attentive and cares that you leave looking and feeling good. And she is consistent. She also continues to educate herself on the latest techniques and products which I think is really cool.

Alex did an amazing job transforming my hair! I’ve been to many salons and this salon is definitely one of my favorites. Everything was so fast, from the consultation to her getting the hair the next day to a fast instillation. Her enthusiasm from her & the rest of the staff was very much noticed. The staff was also very helpful in helping each other out too I noticed, which you don’t see much. Overall I highly recommend going to this salon if you’re looking for great service, a salon that pays attention to detail & a knowledgeable staff

Good luck getting an appointment here if you're trans fem. My first appointment got cancelled and when I tried to reschedule with the owner I was told, "Alex does not work with men's haircuts anymore", I didn't ask for a men's haircut. They might as well have a sign that says white girls only. Edit for reply: I spoke with Alex on my very first call. I never asked for a men's cut there was no reason for it to be booked as such. I had already stated that I had very long hair multiple times and not a men's cut. I also said I would be patient and wait for an opening. After hearing the same thing over again I decided to not come here anymore.

I happened to go by salon Milage fortunately they had an appointment available for later on that day I have never been so pleased with my hair Danielle took the time to make sure what I was looking for and coloring was perfectly the results was amazing I would definitely go there again thanks Danielle

I have long hair and like to keep it simple -- classic cut and layer, some face framing, something that looks good but is low maintenance. Monique did a fantastic job - she was thorough, detailed, and provided great input while also consulting my opinion. This salon has a really welcoming and positive vibe; it's clear they have a lot of regulars. Will definitely be coming back and so excited to finally have a "go to" place in my neighborhood!

I'd definitely recommend Alex and Salon Milage, especially for anyone looking to get semi-permanent hair extensions. Alex does it all - cut, color, balayage, and more, but I sought her out specifically for her expertise in hair extensions. I'd never had semi-permanent extensions before though I've been familiar with clip-ins for years. I decided I wanted to get extensions for my June 2022 wedding; also because I would be doing my own hair and wanted to save time on having to install all the clip-ins. I'd called other salons and was told that four weeks out wasn't enough time to get me an appointment and install in time. However when I called Salon Milage, they put Alex on the phone and she told me to come in that day. She gave me a free consultation, and talked over the different options. I was worried that my hair might be too thin and brittle for extensions but she assured me that I was still eligible. I went with the keratin-bonded wefts. Alex was able to order the hair in the length, color, and volume I requested for an install in only one week. At the install, Alex took so much time and patience making sure every strand was perfect and comfortable. She would move things around if I felt anything pulling. She even cut wefts in half to make custom "micro wefts" for the smaller sections around my face to accommodate my thin hair. We used 3 packs ~90 pieces iirc. She kept saying: "It's your wedding, we have to make sure you look good!" lol. Well it turned out better than I could have believed! It was exactly the hair I wanted for my wedding, and it looked amazing in every photo. I had the extensions in for 3 months and there was no damage whatsoever to my hair. Alex did a perfect job on both install and removal. Install took about 3 hours, removal took about an hour. Now that my extensions are out I miss them and already want them again! I'll definitely go back to Alex and Salon Milage for my next set. Thank you Alex for your phenomenal artistry and work!

Lourdes was fantastic! She was very attentive to my requests and took her time with my hair - taking special care to ensure she wasn't cutting too much and asking me my thoughts along the way. The price was quite cheaper than comparable high end salons ($65 for a wash and cut here) vs ($100-$120 for a cut, wash, and dry elsewhere). I'll definitely be back!

Maria has been doing my eyebrows every two weeks for a year now. She’s awesome and everyone at the salon are really welcoming! Best thing: when you need to pay, they have your CC details on file and it’s convenient for me to go in for my wax appointment and out in record time.

Alex is an expert at what she does. I have blonde hair and I have always struggled to find a stylist who can give me the bright blonde look that I’ve always wanted. Alex takes her time and makes sure the color is exactly the way it should be. My hair has never looked so good! Thank you Alex!

Do not EVER get your haircut here. I cannot BELIEVE how bad this was. I got there and my stylist was over 30 minutes late. After sitting there waiting for her, she finally arrived and I was led to a chair that was covered in other people’s hair trimmings. Disgusting. We discussed a cut to right above my breast with no layers. She cut it to almost my shoulders, used THINNING SHEARS on what we discussed as my fine and thin hair, and created these awful unblended layers up to my chin all around the head. I was charged $60 and she didn’t even dry my hair. It’s actually unbelievably bad and every day I feel so awful about myself. Not to mention how unclean the place was. NEVER go here. I cannot warn you enough.

Amanda did an absolutely amazing job in transforming my hair and re-igniting my love for my natural curls. On top of being super attentive and patient, she walked me through each step of the process and made sure I was 100% satisfied with my cut. You can tell she really knows what's she's doing, and loves when clients are happy with their hair!! I truly have never felt so comfortable and heard in a hair salon before. Never going to a different salon again!

Amanda is a hair wizard! She gave me the best cut I've ever had! I feel like a whole new person - exactly the transformation I needed after my divorce. Amanda crafted my new office-chic look carefully with only a very vague description from me of what I had in mind. She then was very helpful in explaining every step I needed to do to style my new haircut myself to look the way she was doing it. Plus Amanda is just genuinely a very kind and caring person. Amanda is a wizard! She was realistic with my expectations and told me what she was doing and why. She fixed my orangey overtone color conditioning disaster and gave so many hair health tips. I'm so impressed with the results and I love my hair! I fell in love with this place and have been looking for a “home salon” for a long time. I’m from NY and saw the same guy from 12-23 until I moved here for school; I could never find anyone nearly as good as David unless they were obscenely overpriced. After years of searching I found Amanda and SM, and not only do I love her, but the salon as well; all of the stylists who work there are very kind; while I’ve only seen Amanda, I’ve seen them work on other’s hair, and they do great work. Amanda is the first stylist in years I’ve found who’s as good as David and not ridiculously overpriced. I’ve finally clocked my ruby red shoes and am home again. Take my advice and go: you won’t be disappointed (if you don’t believe me read the boatload of reviews on their site.)

I loved this salon and have been a several year customer. I was always satisfied with their service and the haircuts that I received. However, I was sent an online survey by the salon and sent then a 9 out of 10 with the explanation that my only reason for not giving 10 out of 10 was the decor of the salon - at which point the salon dropped me as a customer. I was surprised and upset at this response to a 9 out of 10 review. I also felt that I was offering useful feedback to something that they seemed to be oblivious to. It seems that this was a sore point that I was unaware of. I am upset because I will miss my excellent stylist that I have been going to for years.

I’ve been a customer for about 5 years now and I absolutely love it. They are very professional and knowledgeable and always give you the best consultation for what you’re looking for. Alex cuts and styles my hair and I’m always very happy with the results. She only cuts the exact amount that you ask for and really knows how to give a very polished blowout that lasts. I recently came in for a Brazilian Blowout with Maria, which came out phenomenal and I got to a of compliments. I have very thick hair and am very picky about who styles my hair, and this is the only place in the Boston area that I trust. I’ve also seen other clients leave the salon with beautiful highlights. So if you want a very polished blowout, a Brazilian or keratin treatment, a very well-done color or highlight— come here!
