Abbey is the best of best! I wanted to cut my hair shorter than I ever had before but was unsure of exactly what i wanted! After talking and cutting my hair i was blown away! She did exactly what i imagined and better! She is so nice and did a wonderful job! Thank you Abbey

I am not one to leave bad reviews. I had my hair done at this salon by Abbey Whipperman/ Brain. She did a phenomenal job on my hair. We had some conversations and she came off as a trusting individual which seemed as if it could develop into a great client-hairstylist relationship. Some sensitive topics came up and she was an active and open listener. However, Abbey decided to repeat some of these sensitive subjects to another person in my family (her and abbey are friends) who knew nothing about my personal struggle that happened to me by another family member over 22 years ago. There was no regard for client confidentiality. Overall, I had a decent experience that day getting my hair done. But the aftermath of what came from a hair stylist repeating something she shouldn’t have will never make up for a nice hair coloring or style. I was left shaken up, having to explain to clueless family members, who knew nothing about this certain situation. I was left feeling completely violated and betrayed. I will not be returning to Abbey ever again as she chose to betray a client so carelessly. When I called to better understand her intentions of repeating information she shouldn’t have, she first lied to my face that she was not the person who repeated this information, then finally admitted it and offered me a refund to make up for the unnecessary chaos she has now added to my life. Never got the refund, only a text from her justifying her actions when there was simply nothing to justify what she did. If she was genuinely concerned for my well being, she would’ve went to the police to make a report, not to another one of my family members to create drama per usual. Completely unprofessional and deceitful as she told me she would not repeat anything I had opened up to her about. I hope this never happens to anyone else that is in a vulnerable place in life, especially a client. Again, abbey is great at what she does, but her character and integrity as a hairstylist is a dealbreaker for me.

I have had a very difficult time finding a stylist that will cut my hair the way I want since I moved from home and I found Susan here at Salon Heatherwood and I love her! She knows how to cut hair the way you ask and she isn't scissor happy and doesn't butcher your hair, very conservative and asks you as she goes about how much you want off and she knew exactly what the last girl had done to mess my style up and has helped me straighten it out! Love this place!
