So grateful to have come across this salon… I mean it’s been there the entire time right next to my favorite store. Katelyn did my color and worked extremely well with my previous color. Truly made it match. I’ve already scheduled my next appt and already can’t wait!

Lovely experience here the day of my wedding. I went in with a picture and my stylist was able to create a similar look and secure it well so it didn’t blow around in the wind. Loved it. I was nervous with no hair trial as we were from out of state, but it worked out perfectly. Thank you!

I highly recommend this hair salon. There’s always a receptionist to greet you and my stylist has never kept me waiting. The location has huge windows that face Avenida Del Mar which is great for watching people strolling back and forth. 3 years ago I randomly walked into Salon Bamboo looking for someone to help me with my crazy “new” hair that was growing in after going bald from chemo. Brittny trimmed my short hair into something more presentable and I’ve been going to her ever since. She has taken great care of me through all kinds of hair transitions and now, thanks to her, I’m looking like myself pre-cancer. I get many compliments on my cut and coloring. She’s absolutely wonderful, kind, and takes the time to listen to what you need.

I loved this salon! I am actually from out of state and had a hair emergency; but Brittney saved me! She was so sweet and did a fantastic job! The place is so nice and cozy. The staff was so helpful and friendly. I can’t wait to come back again when I return.

Three cheers for Brooke. Brought my 12 year old daughter here with a giant knot from pandemic hair neglect. It was ugly bad. But brooke was kind and gentle and non judgmental and worked it through with my super sensitive daughter and then gave her a super chic cut. I am so grateful. We had been fighting about that knot for months.

Tricia did an amazing job safely getting me from brunette to beachy blonde. I can tell that she really cares about the health of my hair. Im also really happy with the face framing and long layers she gave me. I have come back 3 times since our first appointment together. Im super happy with Salon Bamboo its such a cute local spot on Del Mar. - Ps i have THICK unruly hair that most hairdressers just dont know what to do with. I can't even tell you how many bad haircuts i have had even at really high end salons. Tricia's work is amazing

Have always loved my hair when I leave. I'm not a "regular' as I don't live here, just a winter visiter but I always use their salon and always happy with results and able to get appointments.

I came here to get an ombré done for the first time and I was very excited for it but that excitement turned into total misery. My hair was definitely not a light blonde that I asked for. Keep in mind I don’t have dark hair, my hair is brown so when it is bleached the right way it should turn blonde. My hair turned into an an ashy brown instead. It wasn’t even an ombré, just looked like regular highlights and nothing special. When I came back to ask if I could get it fixed or get some sort of a refund they weren’t helpful at all. I definitely got ripped off for the service I got at this place. I wouldn’t recommend it. You can definitely find a better place that actually does your hair the way you want it with a price that is reasonable. I paid $270 for something that isn’t even remotely close to what I asked for.

I had a wonderful experience with Luisa! I came in as a walk in and she only had time to cut my hair and not fully blow-dry/style it before her next appt, which was totally fine I was there for the cut anyway. I saw the woman who had just had her hair done by Luisa and liked how hers looked so I decided to go for it. I didnt bring any photos but I explained what I wanted and she asked me many questions along the way confirming what I wanted. I had about 4 inches cut off the length and some layering. Its fully air-dried now and I couldnt be more happy...highly recommend!

Went in for a color correction with the understanding that my hair might not turn out the best, left with red roots and green ends. Went back to ask to get it fixed or a refund and they told me there was nothing hey could do. I do not recommend them whatsoever the receptionist was not willing to work with me and neither was the manager. Really disappointmented. Also received a very blunt hair cut instead of layers and have not worn my hair down since. Thanks 🤟🏽I paid $230.000 I feel completely ripped off!!!
