I searched for a hair salon near me and found Salon27. They had over 1,000 reviews with a 4.9 star rating. That’s hard to do with so many reviews. I called and Rachel answered the phone. She was friendly and very helpful. I told Rachel my hair issues and she recommended Ivy. I went in today and Ivy was great. She’s young and has only been doing hair for two years, but I know by the way she was trimming my hair and the way she evaluated my hair before she started trimming, she’s going to be a fabulous stylist. She listened to my explanation of my hair issues due to major surgery (hair loss and brittle) and evaluated my hair and recommended how much to trim off without making it too short. She said it was mainly to get off the dry ends and shape it. I didn’t get a shampoo (because I’m in a wheelchair) or blow dry because I like to air dry my hair. So instead of charging me the full $60, she cut down the price significantly. I was shocked and asked her if she was sure and she was so sweet and said it didn’t take her that long and she wasn’t going to charge me full price if she didn’t do all the work. I will definitely go back to Ivy and next time I might get her to color my hair too. At present time they are not taking cash for payment at the reception desk, only debit or credit cards (sign on front door).

Traveling through Phoenix in need of a cut. Lily gave me a great cut I can air dry. I really appreciated Amber’s guidance on a style for me. I stopped here last year, too. They do not disappoint! Great salon.

Had Brandi G. style my hair today. I have been trying to get a very choppy layered look for a while. Last salon I went to was good, but didn’t get me to what I really wanted. I showed her the same inspiration photos I took to my last place, and we added to what I showed her. I had a vision but wasn’t sure exactly what words to use to describe what I wanted exactly. She helped me figure out what I’ve been wanting for a while now, is some thick face framing. I’m so happy with how the cut turned out! So thankful to Brandi! It may seem like a little thing, but I’ve been wanting this look a while, and it was only truly done how I’ve envisioned, by her! Very happy with the service I got today! :)

I am very particular about my hair and have been looking for a stylist I am happy with for YEARS. I sat with Josue today and I could not be happier with my experience. He was thoughtful, knowledgable, efficient, and skilled in every way! The front desk staff was friendly and attentive and the salon owner even made her rounds to check on all of the patrons throughout their appointments. Highly recommend Josue and this salon, in general!

Getting my hair cut by Ivy was easily the best experience I’ve ever had in a salon! She was so sweet, friendly, and knowledgeable. I’ve been struggling to deal with hair thinning and regrowth since having my son 2 years ago so she explained everything she was using and doing, as well as recommended products to help me manage those issues on my own. My hair has never looked so healthy! Honestly, I thought it was going to be pricey due to the high quality of service and attention I received but I felt the price was super fair for a haircut. I’ve never had a salon that I go to regularly but I will definitely be going back to Salon 27! Thank you Ivy!!!!

I bought my daughter a 100.00 gift certificate for Christmas. She called me today, and asked me if I had been to Salon 27 and purchased her a gift certificate. I asked her how she knew that, and she had received a receipt via her phone from the bank on this purchase. I don't know how that happened, because I had used my own card! I told the receptionist it was a gift for my daughter, so why would I charge it to her account! Let's pay more attention to your job!

The staff are all so friendly! I moved to the valley in July after being away for 10 years. I googled salons in the valley and found Salon 27. The staff instantly made me feel welcome the first time I walked in their salon. Layla is my stylist. She does an amazing job every single time! Great job to all the staff! Desiree Gompf.

I had an appointment for a haircut, the stylist, was doing color on someone during my haircut, (which ended up taking approximately a hour) When I washed the product out of my hair, I was shocked to see several chucks of hair that were not near even. I sent a pic to the manager but never received a response.

The worst customer service! I made an appointment online and according to S27, I left a finishing process out so they cancelled the appointment w/o even contacting me to give me options! According to them, I booked 2 hours with Josue so why not let me have the option to at least get a cut and style in that 2 hours? Instead, I received a text message telling me they cancelled my appointment, no apologies, no courtesy, no options, just a rude text cancelling the appointment!

Alexis is a beast! I am absolutely in love with my hair. She turned a nightmare into a dream & I couldn’t thank her enough. I have thick Latina hair that has been through a couple of failed salon chairs & she literally took her time to perfect & make my hair so beautiful. This was my first time going to this salon. I was super nervous about getting bangs but after reading their reviews, and seeing how many positive feedbacks “Amanda” had, I decided to give it a chance and I am so glad I did! She is super friendly and she sure knows what she’s doing! I walked out of the salon feeling like a super star lol! If you’re looking to get a haircut by a profesional I definitely recommend Amanda!

I went to get my haircut by Emily and I am so thrilled with the cut and experience! She was so sweet and fun to talk to. She made sure I was comfortable the whole time, and made sure I was happy with the cut. Could not have asked for a better first experience with this salon! Got my confidence back in my hair. Not gonna lie it's an expensive place but you get what you pay for. I went in for a full highlight with Amanda and she did an incredible job, my hair is Hollywood worthy!! So happy with it, so happy with the service. The $75 worth of product is a bit much, I would have liked to buy the bottles of it instead through them and have them apply it, then I could use it at home too. But I'm not unhappy with the results and I'm glad I opted for everything they suggested. If you want your hair done right, go here!!!

Stephanie was absolutely fantastic! It’s been years since I’ve done anything for myself, and I’ve never had my hair colored. Unfortunately the gray started creeping in and overtook everything. She was able to color, cut, and style my hair in a way that made me fall in love with it again. Stephanie is professional, welcoming, personable, and funny. Thank you so much!
