My adult sons and I go to Rosie’s for our haircuts. My hair is more difficult to cut properly than average and I always feel like she gives it all her attention. The location is perfect for Helotes residents. Her son is often there with her doing haircuts as well so it’s a family business. The atmosphere is great and very relaxed. No feeling of rushing to get to the next customer. She is full of great stories and we always have the best conversations. Just don’t forget to make your appoint online. She is not always able to accommodate walk-ins. As a dentist I recognize a well run schedule and a good chair side manner. Always look forward to my next visit. Highly recommended!

This is my second time visiting with Rosie, and though she is a very nice lady, she did not do what I asked her to do. I asked for a long, layered bob and showed her the angle I wanted (below picture), but received a short, uneven cut. She argued that the angle was there, but the it is so minor that it just looks uneven. And she did offer to fix it. However, she took so much off the front that in order to achieve the angled look, she would’ve had to cut the back of my hair to the nape of my neck. At that point I asked her to straighten it out and leave it alone. When I showed her the picture and told her angle looks nothing like it, she tried to convince me that what she did was better because of my ‘hair texture.’ Hair texture has absolutely nothing to do with length, and that was my point. It’s great that SHE liked it, but that is not what I asked for, and as a paying customer, Rosie should do with the customer requests and NOT what she feels is best. Take a look at the blonde and the brunette and see if the photos look even remotely close. You’ll be the judge!

Rosie was very nice but unfortunately I had a very bad experience getting my hair dyed. I asked for dark brown all over to even out the color (it was already dark brown but had a few faded parts). Instead, she dyed my whole head black. It cost me an additional $300 at another salon to get my hair lightened to fix the black she had used. She told me she thought I looked better with black hair. Unfortunately it’s not what I asked for and I had to pay a lot of money to fix this mistake.

First visit with Rosie and it was the best haircut I’ve gotten in a long time. She takes the time to make sure you are getting exactly what you want. I will definitely be a repeat client of hers.

I cannot recommend Rosie enough! I moved to this area last year and was searching for a small, local salon that had a hometown feel. I found Rosie, and she impressed me so much! She did a great job with my cut and color, her prices were reasonable, and she was so sweet. I can’t wait to go back! 5/5 ⭐️

I am thrilled with my hair cut/style! I made an appt. with Rosie at this salon on a whim, mainly because it’s close to my home, and I’m so glad I did. I have thick, mostly gray, hair which had not been cut in over a year. Rosie cut it to shoulder length and then did a fabulous job framing the hair around my face, as well as texturing and layering it all over. I feel 10 years younger! I highly recommend her services!

I went to Rosie for coloring my grays and she did a great job and even brightened up my look with a few hi-lites. She’s super sweet and professional and knows her stuff! I LOVE the color and cut!! I highly recommend her! Cute little salon too!

Been looking for somebody to cut my hair ever since I moved. Rosie did an amazing job. Took her time, slowly brought my hair in while asking me throughout to make sure she wasn't going too short. Blended everything. Probably one of the best haircuts I've had. Plus it's local. I will definitely be back.

I was very excited after reading the reviews to come here. The hair cut was great and Rosie was a very sweet, caring person. However, the photo I showed of how I wanted my hair dyed was not what I received. I would have preferred her to be honest to me that she did not know how to do the balayage I was asking than waste the amount of money I did, just to have to go somewhere else to try and fix this. She also FaceTimed someone to show my hair and I heard the woman try to give her advice on what to use to try and fix it. Nothing was blended properly around the roots either. She even openly told me it’s not what I showed her and she would fix it on Monday if need be. I don’t recommend anything other than a hair cut from here.
